Sequoia and Kings Canyon RV Park, Dunlap, California

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a mobile home park without many mobile homes and open to RVs. All hook-ups are way in the back of the site so be sure you have long connections. RVs are parked on the grass. We chose to stay here rather than tow our trailer up 4000' and 20 miles to Kings Canyon & Sequoia. It's ok and works for our purpose. The manager is very friendly with an infectious personality. It is quiet at night. We camped at Sequoia and Kings Canyon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

We were nervous driving our Airstream into Las Vegas but this was a breeze. Easy access by highway and easy to enter resort. We felt a bit like country bumpkins entering one of several registration parking spots and walking into the glassed lobby past the palm trees and fountains. Everyone was nice and we appreciate the fair rules and high level of maintenance. We used taxis and Lyft to get to the strip. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Page Lake Powell Campground, Page, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is all gravel with some trees. Our site did not have a sewer HU so used the campground bathroom for showers. One of the two shower rooms was out of commission for 5 of the 7 days so the one functioning bathroom got crowded. We were glad to be close to Page for shopping and seeing the sights. We camped at Page Lake Powell Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

We had a very spacious pull-through site with small trees on each side. A minor problem with the electric HU was fixed within an hour of our arrival. We were advised that ravens could peck holes in the sewer hose so we hooked up only when dumping. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.

OK RV Park, Holbrook, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here to visit Petrified Forest NP. The campground has an unusual set-up of placing campers in alternating directions in order to maximize the use of space. It's strange at first, but works. Neighborhood streets pass through the campground so you will see a school bus pass by or other local traffic. The wifi was very good at our site which was across from the office. The down side of our site was idling motorhomes while they were checking in. The laundry was very spacious and clean. We stayed three nights but all of our neighbors changed daily. Trains can be heard nearby. We camped at OK RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Page Springs Park, Cornville, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is an old park that could use some maintenance. It is difficult to turn down into the driveway if coming from the south. We were lucky that the restaurant was closed so we could swing around using the parking lot. We first backed into a very tight spot between large cottonwood trees and backing to the creek. It was pretty but too close to neighbors who infringed on our space. Management nicely moved us to a wider spot away from the creek. We did not have sewer HU so used the campground showers. It was OK but would benefit from daily cleaning and general sprucing up. It was very dirty, dusty when the wind kicked up. Our camper was covered with a sandy dust after 7 days. We camped at Page Springs Park in a Travel Trailer.

Albuquerque Central KOA, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

All sites are pull through on gravel but the roads are paved. The campground is next to the Interstate but the staff will try to get you as far away as possible and there is a barrier fence. It was not a problem for us. There is very tight security with a gate that closes at 7pm. Security sits at the gate after it closes. We camped at Albuquerque Central KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Bottomless Lakes State Park, Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We had booked a site without sewer hook-up online but took a first-come site with hook-up when we arrived. The campground hosts were very nice and helpful. There is free wifi which was excellent, at least from our site. The only negative is that a group pavilion sits in the middle of the campground and on a Friday night there was a group with 7 tents and many adults and children camped there. The noise level was not outrageous for a group of this size but was impactful to the whole campground. We camped at Bottomless Lakes State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lost Alaskan RV Park, Alpine, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is an example of how a campground should be run. Very well organized. Full friendly instructions from check-in to check-out. Had a separate area to wash your RV at a nominal price which we used. Bike trail to town was right there. The sites were not the largest but it was a stress-free stay. Pecan Grove RV Park, Austin, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

The park is cramped but you can't beat the location. It is stressful to get to driving through city traffic and maneuvering within the park takes some planning. We had a little shade. Many of the other campers were permanent but very friendly. Expect street noise, trains, and music from nearby restaurants in exchange for being able to walk or take a bus to parks, trails, museums, and downtown.
