Patricia Lake Campground, Minocqua, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This CG could be our new favorite. It's pretty, clean, quiet and friendly. Only a couple miles outside of Minocqua and all the shopping, restaurants and groceries there. They have a nice swimming beach on a quiet lake with good fishing. What else do you need? Plus many roads are paved too and full hook ups. We camped at Patricia Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Point A Park (formerly A Sweet Home Alabama Campground and RV Park), Andalusia, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Best part: service from the owner gentleman. Super helpful. The park is nice and he is making a lot of improvements. The sites are mostly shaded with well kept mature trees. The park is on the lake with 3 fishing piers. Not great for kids, no good swimming or play equipment. Very quiet at night but there are a lot of permanent residents here. We camped at Point A Park (formerly A Sweet Home Alabama Campground and RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Bass Lake Campground, Lyndon Station, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice, quiet family campground. It's close enough to Wis. Dells to make an easy day trip, but far enough away to be well outside the Dells craziness. Lots for the kids to do with a nice pool, fishing pond and lake, canoe and kayak rentals, bike rentals, game room. The sites are great size, the pull thru's are convenient but still have lots of space and feel fairly private. Good water pressure. Bring DVD's as the over the air TV signal was weak. We camped at Bass Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Duck Creek Campground, Pardeeville, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Noisy. Expensive. Limited amenities. No discounts (early season, Good Sam or any other) We camped early season and expected a quiet weekend experience. What we got was a campground full of partiers, loud music, shouting, arguing....obviously plenty of alcohol flowing. The management said they couldn't do anything till 11 pm quiet time, but even then the roar just went down a notch. Management was pleasant but unhelpful. Kids next to us had fun catching some fish in the catch/release pond but the path to the creek was under water so I could not try fishing there. Sites were ungraded gravel and not very level. Roads are gravel and fairly wide and easy to navigate. We camped at Duck Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Natalbany Creek Campground & RV Park, Amite, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly and helpful staff. Sites are large and have lots of room between, with paved pads and patio with picnic table and fire ring. Paved roads are wide and easy to navigate, very easy to back in. Very convenient location for FHU utilities. Amite has everything you need but the CG is nice and secluded. We camped at Natalbany Creek Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The Landing Point RV Park, Cape Girardeau, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The very best thing about our stay here was the people: the management is among the best we have encountered, above-and-beyond helpful. Plus, the locals and other guests staying there were some of the nicest, friendliest folks we've met in our travels.
The park itself is nice too. Nice large spots with plenty of room to maneuver with fairly level concrete pads and paved roads. There is a lot of open space around the sites so you never feel crammed together. It's close to town but still quiet so you can feel like you're not in the middle of everything (and especially not next to the interstate). Connections for sewer, water, electric and cable were all convenient and the wifi was strong. We camped at The Landing Point RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Hickory Oaks Campground, Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is unusual, pretty much in the city of Oshkosh so close to restaurants and shopping. It is fairly quiet given the location. A lot of tent sites and 20 or so RV sites. The pond is OK for a walk around but the fish I found were very small.

We were in a site (W4) on the west side of the grounds. It was barely deep enough for our trailer but had good width. It has been wet in WI this year and that entire area was rutted and muddy, so the truck and trailer both were mud covered when we left. If not for that the stay would have been nicer. Gravel roads were also muddy in spots. We looked like we were off-roading by the time we left. We camped at Hickory Oaks Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Sunset Point on Lake LBJ, Marble Falls, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Quiet and beautiful location on the lake. Spacious concrete sites, staff lead us there and helped us get situated. Close enough to town with many restaurants and shopping. Beautiful sunsets over the lake. Few other amenities. Quiet was disrupted several mornings with bath house remodeling, they started at 8 am...could have waited till 10 or so. Ruined those mornings of our short vacation. We camped at Sunset Point on Lake LBJ in a Travel Trailer.

Arkadelphia Campground, Arkadelphia, Arkansas

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Extremely rude and anti-social CG manager, seemed genuinely annoyed that I called. Did not want to help when we came in after hours (5 pm) for an overnight stop. Roads are gravel but not too tight. Sites are gravel too but far from level. I wouldn't recommend. We camped at Arkadelphia Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Happy Trails RV Park, Lebanon, Missouri

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

OK overnight stay traveling south. Roads and sites are gravel, site was fairly level and long enough to not have to unhitch. Roads were narrow with tight turns. Quite a bit of highway noise even with all vents closed. Several miles into town for take out food. We camped at Happy Trails RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
