Boulder Recreation Area Campground COE, Carlyle, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

Site 47 is sloped down from entrance >12" If in a motorhome you will likely need to drive in and use electric extension as well as blocks. Sites 1-8/9 are FHU. Others are Electric only. The 'bones' of the park are great. Most sites are asphalt without any damage. Sites include a fire ring/barbecue combo. This makes it almost impossible to cook and have a simultaneous campfire. Both the picnic table and the power box had an extensive live wasp nest. The camp host couple were a bit cold but otherwise helpful. We camped at Boulder Recreation Area Campground COE in a Motorhome.
