Buffalo / I-40 KOA, Hurricane Mills, Tennessee

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This CG is RIGHT on I40. This is a major truck interstate. It was very loud in a pup. I slept with ear plugs, and it was still loud. You would probably do ok in a hardside with your windows closed, unless freeway noise does not bother you. The showers were small. There were not fire rings. If you check in after hours, they required cash. I talked to the very nice owner the next day, and he is considering alternatives to this. The sites were ok otherwise. Their electric hook-ups were nice. We camped at Buffalo / I-40 KOA in a Tent Trailer.

Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA , Toomsuba, Mississippi

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This CG was very beautiful. Ignore the road in, and the scrap yard. They don't effect the CG at all. Was a very quiet CG. Large wooded sites. No fire rings. The stars and fireflies were breathtaking. There was a great water slide that was not open for the season yet. They sell some beer/wine in the CG store. We would love to go back to this CG. We camped at Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA in a Tent Trailer.

Baton Rouge KOA, Denham Springs, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The bathrooms were clean, but done at a peak showering time, and intermittently with no signs that they were being done. The lady was not pleased with my wife being in there when she came back. They used a very strong bleach mixture that was very unpleasant in the shower area when they were done. It also bleached a towel and shirt that had been set down during showering. The office people were very friendly. The mini-golf was being redone, and looked like it was going to be very nice when finished. The sites are fairly close together. There are no fire rings there. We camped at Baton Rouge KOA in a Tent Trailer.

There bathrooms were the nicest we have been in! Cute CG. People were not the friendliest (a Louisiana thing??). Was a quiet campground for being in the city. We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA (formerly Tall Pines RV Park) in a Tent Trailer.

They had two fish ponds where you could feed the fish and ducks. We only visited the small one, and the kids loved it! There were some huge fish in it. The owner was very nice. It was close to the interstate, but not noisy. We camped at Joplin KOA in a Tent Trailer.
