Since Sun RV purchased the park almost 2 years ago there are DRAMATIC improvements. SUPER helpful & friendly management & staff, new landscaping, new shuffleboard courts, new activities for everyone, revamp of mini golf-course, replacement of old concrete pads & patios, restrooms & bathhouses cleaned every day, roadwork completed, new street signs, new street lights in the entire park, sod on sites that needed it, the list could go on and on. If there is an issue it is always addressed promptly. We are snowbirds & have lived here 6 years during the winter months. Everyone here appreciates all the hard work & efforts (plus the expense) of all the improvements.

This secure, gated 240+ site CG is mostly permanent units with only 30 "overnight" sites: not all of them have full WES hookups! But, if you can get a reservation, you should be happy. The CG is directly across the street from the Atlantic Ocean and the CG's very own private beach! You can watch both the sunrise and sunset on the south facing beach on the Cape Cod peninsula. We camped here after Labor Day and took advantage of the internet special weekly rate of $79 till the CG closed on Columbus Day. Lucky for us: 2007 saw record high temps! Other than the pull-through sites, it may be a little tight for some big rigs, but smaller drive units and tag-alongs should have no problem. The electric, water, cable TV, and sewer hookups are first rate. Some sites are a bit cramped. Good paved roads throughout. Free cable TV and free, strong W-Fi. Helpful on site staff waited for our late arrival and led us to our site. Super friendly staff and residents. The bathrooms were always clean! Small laundry on site. Check for their PET POLICY. Location is close enough for day trips to Boston, Provincetown, Plymouth, Salem, and Newport, RI for the mansion tours. Don't miss the wonderful clam chowder at nearby Capt. Parker's and thin crust pizza at Joey's. The best RV directions: Rt 6 E, Exit 9A onto Rt 134 S, LEFT onto Rt 28 - go 1/10 mile & RIGHT onto Shad Hole Rd. Go approx 3/4 mile to first STOP sign and turn RIGHT onto Lower County Rd. Go 2/10 mile & turn LEFT onto Glendon Rd (between Joeys Pizza & The Dog House). Approx 1/2 mile to STOP sign and turn LEFT onto Old Wharf Rd, then LEFT into Campers Haven parking lot with Red Sign. Loved the fog rolling in at night!

Small, friendly, family-run CG just off the main road. NC Outer Banks camping at a reasonable rate. They also accept "Passport America" for 50% off daily rate. Electric was extra - approx. $5 a day to run AC. Sites were adequate but would be cramped for larger rigs and motorhomes. No concrete pads - gravel sites with a little grass and picnic table. Lots of surf fishermen at this CG. Bathrooms and shower clean but really need updated, as does the on site laundry. 2 washers and 2 dryers. NO modem hookup now. Owner says she will have wi-fi next year. Only blocks to grocery, fuel, and restaurants. 5 minute drive to beach access. 20 minute drive to Hatteras Lighthouse. Will return.

This ia an award winning CG. Our site was a beautiful, almost level, and wooded pull-through. Noted back-in sites were fairly large. Newer bathhouse with clean restrooms and x-large, private showers. Get there early though as hot water is not quick recovery. Wifi available in the office parking lot. Access to large, protected beach on this awesome, clean 550 mile lake included with camping fees. If you have a boat, take it! World class fishing too. Many hiking trails and CG activities. Ice and firewood available on site. Friendly, helpful staff. Convenience store, propane, and fuel within 3 miles. Make your reservations early. This CG is almost always filled in season. We look forward to our next visit.

Right off interstate 81 - this family-owned & run CG is a work-in-progress, but they are trying to do it right! The office building also houses approx. 6 large family-style bathroom/showers, large individual showers, and the laundry - all SUPER clean. The CG is terraced with fairly level rocky sites and wide 'road' for easy back-ins. No trees at all and little grass. You will need your awning for shade. Computer and modem hookup available in the office in addition to the free wi-fi. Super friendly and helpful staff. Shuttle to Bristol Motor Speedway for races. During summer, nearby Elizabethtown has a Saturday evening "Car Show" featuring antique, muscle, classic, and rare cars. Beautiful one hour drive down Rt 26 to Asheville, NC and the Biltmore Mansion. Across hwy from week-end Flea Market. We will return!

As first time campers at this resort we qualified for the $189 a month internet special. We wondered what to expect for that $. Arrived to find a neat, well landscaped CG with friendly staff that checked us in. Another staff member led us to our requested "pull-through" site & offered assistance. Our site was at the end of a row in the front of the CG. Electric, water, phone, cable tv, & sewer hookup were within 5' of the rear of our trailer. Wi-Fi internet $30 for a month. Electric used is paid monthly. Although we heard traffic outside the park, it was not intolerable. This is a family facility with many permanent sites. Some older units. Residents, snow birds, & returning RV'ers commented that "the new management company has made improvements" & "they are trying to make this a better place." Bath & shower buildings clean, although spartan. Pool & jacuzzi clean & regularly checked. Laundry is small & busy, but all machines were operational. Propane on site. Super Wal-Mart (NO OVERNIGHTS), grocery, shopping, restaurants within 3-4 miles. Daytona Beach & Speedway 30 minutes, Cape Canaveral 45 minutes, Disney 1 hr.
