Big Cedar RV Park, Hodgen, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

A small, rural campground, appears situated for hunting, riding ATV's and hiking in the Ouachita mountains and Talimena trail. Very laid back and quiet. Grass sites pretty level and good green space - gravel roads. Could be tight if it were busier. Wifi available - average for minor usage. Friendly, helpful owner - a nice place to slow down and enjoy nature. We camped at Big Cedar RV Park in a Motorhome.

Casino Queen RV Park, East Saint Louis, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Great location to downtown St. Louis! A definite plus for us. The facility is divided into two sections. The first primarily for short stays - all pull through sites. Asphalt road and site pads with gravel in lieu of grass between sites. The second for longer stays - back in sites. Asphalt roads and site pads with grass between sites. Nice playground area for children and grass dog walk. No pressure to participate in the casino, although transportation was available. No better place to stay if visiting downtown St. Louis. We camped at Casino Queen RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ozark Country Campground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

A balanced location if visiting Branson. Away from downtown, 5-10 min, but not too far. The facility is located on an "Ozark" road, several twists and turns which can be a bit of a challenge, but manageable. Campground separated into long term and short term clients - and the two do not mix. The owner was pretty clear, protecting the privacy of their long term customers. We understand the reasoning. All gravel roads and sites. Sites close together, even though there seems like a lot of undeveloped space. NOT level - front of motorhome off the ground to level up. Good shade trees, trimmed away not to scratch, can impact satellite reception, but they offer sufficient cable. Wifi functional, but marginal. Nice pool available and green space for fun. Picnic table had seen better days, and located in back of site, since the site was too narrow to locate near the RV. We would stay here again - very good value. We camped at Ozark Country Campground in a Motorhome.

Lake Claiborne State Park, Homer, Louisiana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Over the past couple of years, we have stayed here three times. Most sites are paved asphalt - some very level, others not even close. Electric service has been upgraded to 50 amp service although the website still reflects 30 amp. Lots of trees, so don't expect any satellite service; found 2 digital over the air TV stations during our last stay. Zero cell service for AT&T, reasonable Verizon coverage. Park has wifi, but is limited, so plan to go unplug and enjoy the campground. Most sites in "area 1" which are down near the lake are always reserved, so plan in advance. Good family camp ground - we'll go again! We camped at Lake Claiborne State Park in a Motorhome.

Lakeside RV Park, Livingston, Louisiana

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here passing through on I-12. Easy off/on, yet far enough away from the interstate that there was no road noise. Nice, level concrete sites. All full hookups and wi fi. About 12 pull thru sites and over 100 back in. Some long-term campers, but well kept. Although we did not utilize any, the park has several amenities which would make for a good stay. This is a keeper. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Boyd's Key West Campground, Key West, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $110.00
Overall Rating:

Glad we did not visit during peak times cause it would not have been nice. We did arrive on Sunday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend. Wow, never seen anything like it. A mix of all camper types: but an amazing number of tents with their vehicles hanging out onto the one way road. Had to ask two people to move vehicles just to get to our site, then no way to back our 36 ft motor home into the site without asking someone else to move a vehicle. The next afternoon all the tents were gone, whew, I was fretting how we were going to get out in couple of days. But turned into a quiet campground, gravel sites, fairly level, full hook ups. Off season, water front site $110.00 per night. One of the nicer, closer campgrounds to Key West. I recommend staying here, but NOT on a holiday weekend. We camped at Boyd's Key West Campground in a Motorhome.

Lazydays RV Campground, Seffner, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped in to see the "Biggest RV Dealership in the US/World" and to visit Busch Gardens. Amusement park rained out due to tropical storm Carlos, but still had a chance to check out Lazydays. Huge, full service, very friendly folks - except the camping check in gal wasn't so friendly. She almost seemed offended when we asked questions about the campground and facilities. Our site was ok. Not level at all - a bit of a surprise for a RV dealership; I expected better. Activity center with compliemntary pool, ping pong and foosball tables. We camped at Lazydays RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake, Orlando, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

What a GEM! Who would have thought that in downtown Orlando there would be a small lake with 36 RV sites? We stayed here while visiting Universal Studios - only 10 minutes away!! Half are full hookups, the remainder only water and electricity, but also has a dump station. No cable, but several on air stations available if you don't have satellite. Some sites fully shaded, most partial. Sites are concrete, but NOT level. In fact, our site had a foot of fall making leveling the coach a challenge. But, that's the only issue - and a small issue when valuing the benefit of the location. Highly recommend this park surrounded by city. We camped at Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake in a Motorhome.

Sun-N-Fun RV Resort, Sarasota, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful resort. Lots to do. After checkin, we were escorted to our site, a back in; since we were only stopping of the night, we asked to be re-assigned to a pull through. A quick radio call to the office, and we were lead to a different site - great customer service! We camped at Sun-N-Fun RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee, Chokoloskee Island, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

A great place to spend some time. This is a facility where individuals own the sites and rent out the use of their sites. Nice paved sites, not as level as expected; good full hookups; good wifi, because cell service minimal. IMPORTANT - check in is poorly marked - check in is at the bait shop before you arrive at the campground. We camped at Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee in a Motorhome.

Ocala Sun RV Resort, Ocala, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

The pull through site we reserved is similar to an open field. We only stayed one night - used full hook-ups, but didn't use any other facilities. Pool looked well maintained. Good for a one nighter, not sure I could recommend beyond that. Only 1/2 mile from I-75, very convenient. We camped at Ocala Sun RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Wendy Oaks RV Park, Florence, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This was a one night stay for us. Arrived in daylight which helped, because the sites were not very well defined. Gravel sites, mostly level, although full hookups, we just used electricity. Read several reviews before making the reservation which talked about making a u-turn if traveling south bound; so I thought I would be smart and exit before the u-turn and that was a MISTAKE. Narrow, rough road - don't do it. Make the u-turn. We will add this to our list when needing a one night stay. We camped at Wendy Oaks RV Park in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts Yogi on the Lake, Pelahatchie, Mississippi

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Very cooperative staff making the reservation and checking in. Easy on/off I-20; and remotely quiet. As requested, the site assigned was a pull through so we would not have to unhook our tow. As we pulled into the gravel site, it was obviously very sloped; in spite of extra effort and leveling boards, we were unsuccessful leveling. After inspecting other vacant sites which appeared less sloped, a call to the office approved our request of reassignment. Unfortunately it was too sloped as well. We just made it work. All sites were gravel and unlevel. We only stayed stayed one night and did not participate an any of the camp ground offerings. If you have children, the facility appears to have good facilities to many activities. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts Yogi on the Lake in a Motorhome.

Magnolia RV Park Resort, Vicksburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

We've used this an overnight location several times and will continue. Reasonably priced for a quiet night's sleep. Easy on/off I-20. Never used any of the facilities. Sites are a bit tight, but we do not have any issues: 36 ft MH plus tow - sites are pull through and easily managed. Staff is always helpful. Site surface is gravel and features a picnic table. Skidaway Island State Park, Savannah, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed five nights, and chose this campground based on others' ratings. Our visit included extensive touring and kayaking around the Savannah area. A 20-30 drive to downtown, but allows for a quiet retreat. Lots of trees, so forget your satellite, but they have reasonable cable. Sites are gravel/sand and fairly level and not well defined - do not plan to arrive after dark! I'm not sure you could identify the sites. Limited full hook ups, so we had to unhook and make a run to the dump station - bit of an inconvenience. We would stay here again. We camped at Skidaway Island State Park in a Motorhome.
