Pine Mountain RV Park, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice, new RV park in the center of Pigeon Forge just a couple of blocks off the parkway. Very convenient to Dollywood, Old Mill, and other area attractions. Back-in sites along stream are wide and long. Pull-through sites are somewhat shorter and closer together. Very level concrete parking pads and patio area with paved streets. Trees have been planted, but are not yet large enough to provide much shade. All facilities were very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Poverty Point Reservoir State Park, Delhi, Louisiana

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful new Louisiana State Park campground located on a large man-made lake. The sites are wide, paved and level with convenient hook-ups. ADA sites are available with addition concrete around the pad, fire ring, BBQ grill and picnic table. The lake provides good boating and fishing opportunities. The campground has a water playground, but no pool. There is a marina with beach access a few miles north of the campground at the north landing site. Security is good and all the facilities are kept clean. Since this is a new campground, there is little shade in the area with the sewer connections. However, there is some shade around the sites without sewer. The pull-through sites are long and wide, but also do not have sewer connections. Wi-Fi is available for no additional charge and worked very well. The only thing lacking is cable TV, but several broadcast channels are available. Reservations for specific sites are easily made through Reserveamerica and were quick and accurate. Check-in was easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We camped at Poverty Point Reservoir State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Blazing Star Luxury RV Resort, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Although under new ownership, the manager is a long time employee and is running the campground much like the old owners. Campground is very clean and well maintained. Sites are well spaced and some have extra patio areas. Staff very friendly and helpful. The pool is heated and cleaned regularly. The playground is small, but adequate for smaller children. The park is very convenient to SeaWorld, and a shuttle runs at predetermined times. It is about a 30 minute drive to downtown or Six Flags Fiesta Texas, but the access is easy and convenient. During our stay, we had friends who stayed in the cabins, which were also very nice and clean. They are intermingled with the campsites making it convenient for families to be near each when some have a camper and others stay in the cabins. We camped at Blazing Star Luxury RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
