Town & Country RV and Mobile Home Park, Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We just stayed at Town and Country RV Park for a week, $169 total. A really nice park on the outskirts of town but only 5-7 minutes from downtown. Sites are large, most are pull-thru, 50 amp full hookups, concrete roads throughout, laundry, showers, restrooms, nice dog run, very clean and well kept. Staff is very accommodating, helpful and pleasant. There are 2 sections, front and back. These are pictures of the back where we stayed. 5 stars. We camped at Town & Country RV and Mobile Home Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Coleman RV Park, Brownfield, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

How often do we come across a free RV spot with 30 amp electric, water & a dump station? Basically...never! You can park here for up to 5 days free. (Donations are accepted)  There are 16 sites, some are shaded. Sites are sand & gravel and pretty level. You'd think this place would be packed! There were only 4 RV's when we pulled in, 2 others came after us. It's nothing fancy but it was very quiet, open & we felt very safe. We will definitely stay again when passing thru. We camped at Coleman RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wagon Train RV Park, Canton, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at a nice little campground last night, Wagon Train RV Park in Canton, TX. Very quiet, FHU 50 amp, decent WiFi, spacious level gravel pull-thru site, $27 w/Good Sam's. The owners were more than accommodating. One of them met us at our site, connected our electric & asked if we need help with our water or sewer. They are going to add 10 more sites that will be even larger than current ones. It was right off I-20 W exit 536. Easy off, easy on. We will definitely stay again. May decide to spend the winter here. Oh, they were expecting a bad storm with possible strong winds. They stopped by to tell us they have storm cellar that will hold 40 people if we needed it. We did not but was nice to know. We camped at Wagon Train RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Opelousas South City Park, Opelousas, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

I think we may have found a hidden gem in Opelousas, LA in St. Laundry's Parish. This beautiful City Park has RV hook-ups, 50 amp & water, $11 a night. No sewer but they have dump at no charge. No limit on how long you want to stay. It seems like a cool little town. We stayed 3 nights. It's so quiet here. There are Park Rangers here 6 am-11 pm. The gates are locked at all 3 entrances at night. It seems this park is used a lot by both young & old. Kids practicing tennis, kids practicing for a dance recital, tons of people walking & riding bikes. We drove around town yesterday. It's kept clean. There's an area where quite a few businesses have closed. We felt very safe here day & night. Will definitely stay again when in the area. We camped at Opelousas South City Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Get some chicken from Mama's Chicken! Recommend by everyone we talked to. Make sure to get the homemade biscuits! Shrimp was very tender & nice size. Chicken pieces were huge!

I-10 Kampground, Theodore, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This appears to be an older RV Park. It's very close to I-10 so easy off/easy on. Nice size pull thru sites with a small picnic table. Full hookups-50 amp, cable, WiFi (not very good) & laundry. Seems like there are a lot of full time residents but very quiet. $30 total. Nice for 1 night. Felt safe. Would stay again when passing thru. We camped at I-10 Kampground in a Fifth Wheel.

Timberlane RV Park & Resort, Bradenton, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in. We are staying 3 months-Oct, Nov & Dec 2016.

The owners are on site. The park is immaculately clean. Restrooms, laundry & clubhouse are in excellent condition & always clean. They have books, games & video's you can borrow for free.

It's close to everything, groceries, gas stations, restaurants & shopping.

Easy on & off I-75.

Lots are large & shaded with full hook-ups. Roads are paved. Park is very pet friendly. We put up a small fence for our dogs.

Owners help you park. We have seen the owners park rigs for people if needed. Just the other day a single retired lady came in with a small class A. The owner parked it for her & helped her get everything connected.

We will definitely stay here whenever we are in the area. We camped at Timberlane RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Timberlane RV Park & Resort, Bradenton, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

What a beautiful RV Park! Large, treed lots, pets welcome. The owners are very accommodating, friendly & kind.

This is a newer, smaller park. The clubhouse, pool & laundry just opened in March.

It's location is fantastic! Just off Highway 64 N off I-75. Close to everything but once you're in the park, it all feels like a million miles away! We camped at Timberlane RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
