Elkhorn Campground, Frankfort, Kentucky

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground with a lot of people staying here. Showers exceptionally nice - the roomiest of our trip. Nice area to walk dogs. Others close by, but was not a bother. We were late getting here because of traffic, but they kept the office open. Lot spacing was very close with some shade. Site surface was a concrete pad. We camped at Elkhorn Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Inexperienced clerk slightly overcharged us and the manager chased us down to give us a $1 back! Shower room being painted. Very picturesque spot. Lot spacing was spacious and mostly shady. Site surface was gravel. Restrooms and showers were clean. We camped at Broken Wheel Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Granite Hill Camping Resort, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Campground wasn't really open yet. Showers not available, but office was open. One night the owner locked the gate when my wife was out doing laundry. Had to leave truck at gate and haul laundry ~1/2 mile. Staff helpful. Looked like a lot of amenities when fully open. No water service: too early. Lot spacing is nearby with a sunny/open exposure. Site surface was gravel. We camped at Granite Hill Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.
