Sherwood Forest RV Resort, Kissimmee, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $74.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed on an "elite" site which seemed to earn its status by virtue of having a concrete pad. Very sandy off the concrete...you will track sand into your rv. Park roads excellent. Sites pretty large. Excellent cable TV. Convenient driving distance to Disney and other Orlando attractions. Wide variety of restaurants nearby. Directions on web site lacking and poor signage on W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy (US 192). You MUST turn south off Irlo Bronson Hwy onto Scott Boulevard and travel .2 miles to reach the actual entrance to Sherwood Forest RV resort. We camped at Sherwood Forest RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Walt Disney and other kid-friendly attractions nearby. Will cost $20/$30 per day to park at Disney. Very nice outlet malls nearby (5 miles). Everything, everywhere is crowded and traffic is messy. Would stay there again in similar circumstances. However, would spend the extra bucks to stay at a Disney campground if Disney was the sole or primary destination because of the convenience of transportation to the Disney attractions.

Cecil Bay RV Park, Cecil, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Adding a vote to the group giving Cecil Bay a good ranking in the category of a good place to stop overnight while transiting I-75. Couldn't be easier off and back on I-75. Spacious, level sites make it easy to set up for the night and get on the road in the morning. Has everything you need for one night including good satellite TV reception. Will remain on my go-to list when I need a stop in the area. We camped at Cecil Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

High Springs Campground, High Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

High Springs is a 7 or even an 8 in the category of a place to stay overnight while traveling I-75 north or south. Very easy access from and return to I-75. Friendly and helpful staff. Good price. Internal roads of dirt or gravel no nearby restaurants, no cable TV keep it from being ranked higher. Recent emphasis on grounds maintenance have it looking good for its age. Stayed there in February and again in March, 2016, and will stop again. Sites 7 and 8 particularly good for the overnight, don't-even-unhook crowd. We camped at High Springs Campground in a Motorhome.
