Americamps RV Resort, Ashland, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park. The sites are level and based on where you are, open. We had no problem with WIFI, cable or our dish. The negative is that it is so close to 95 and a busy truck road right outside the park that if you are in one of the deluxe sites you hear truck traffic most of the night. A nice treat is that they offer a complimentary waffle breakfast 6 days a week and a complimentary dinner one night. they keep the park clean and tidy and pick up your garbage. You are close to many services and Richmond is close by so you can tour the many historical sites easily. We camped at Americamps RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Make a point to go to Monument Avenue and visit some of the other historical sites. We also enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the only remaining Bookbinders restaurant and sat outside on the patio.

Western Village RV Park, Carlisle, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This was a good spot for us to easily get to Gettysburg and to visit family in Shippensburg. It is well cared for and even though there were many children there it was not very noisy. We would stay here again if we were in the are. Location is close to many services. It is also easy on/off the highway. We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Travelers Woods, Bernardston, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay here. It is in the country and very well cared for. Management was helpful and friendly. Being close to the end of August there were not very many "transients" so we felt like we almost had the park to ourselves. Nice and quiet. If in the area we would stay here again. They brought us a picnic table upon request very quickly...a plus for management and service. We camped at Travelers Woods in a Fifth Wheel.

Beach Rose RV Park, Salisbury, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

The owner does not care. Wifi was not available at our site and he just said "that is why it is free". No one other than those of us who were overnighting were friendly, including management. On the plus side they did have a complementary continental breakfast and a community dinner. There are fire rings but you almost in the bushes if you use those on the perimeter of the park. Not very safe. We would not stay here again. We camped at Beach Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Spend time and visit Gloucester, Rock Port and Salem. They are all big tourist destinations but lovely to visit. Great Lobster Pond - David's - where you can get lobster to cook yourself at a very reasonable price.

Augusta / Gardiner KOA, Richmond, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

They are running the park like a business because you pay for absolutely everything which is generally much more expensive than elsewhere. the owners are ok but not overly friendly or accommodating. With their location and the prices they charge the "all you can eat" pancake breakfast should be free. No need to incur a cost of $4 per person. they advertise activities but there we none. We would not stay here again. We camped at Augusta / Gardiner KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Seaview Campground, Cottages and Motel, Eastport, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

What this park has going for it is the view. You are right at the Bay of Fundy. The negative is that while they advertise a restaurant, it no longer is operational. The roads are tight - sand and gravel - and the sites if you want a view are almost on top of one another. We would not stay here again. We camped at Seaview Campground, Cottages and Motel in a Fifth Wheel.

If you go and I don't really recommend it but if you do, visit Campebello and New Brunswick. There is a good seafood market in Eastport so if you like to cook your own lobster go to it.

Moose River Campground, St Johnsbury, Vermont

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This is a FANTASTIC park. The owners are the best. They do whatever it takes to make your stay enjoyable. It is easy to get to, very well maintained, and relatively quiet along a beautiful rapidly moving river. The owners love to plan special events and they absolutely love making the blazing bonfire on Saturday nights. We camped at Moose River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Do not miss Polly's Pancake Parlor in Maple Hill, NH. You may to wait awhile but it is really worth it. A bit further east you can go to the Flume Gorge. Amazing beautiful. The 2 mile hike thru the gorge is worth the money you spend to go. A must!

Brattleboro North KOA, Brattleboro, Vermont

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Easy to get to from I-91 and not to far from Battleboro. Main problem was the cable tv which provides a poor picture more often than a clear one. Well maintained campground and friendly owners/staff. Need to trim more trees for Big Rigs access. We camped at Brattleboro North KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Depending on the season, lots to do. Don't miss out on a movie at the downtown movie theater. It is a 1938 building. If possible make it to a NEYT performance. Whetstone Restaurant was a fun dining experience. The VT/NH state line runs right through the middles of the restaurant. Enjoy a drink in the rooftop bar.

Tri-State RV Park, Matamoras, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

You could not find more accommodating owners. Don't be put off by the entrance with the run down vehicles or the appearance of a parking lot. It is a great location - easy on/off the highway. The road noise was not a problem. The ground are well kept and the Delaware River is right there at your finger tips. We will stay here on our way home. Brandywine Creek Campground, Downingtown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The park has a beautiful country setting next to a creek. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The sites are pretty level. If you go absolutely follow the owners suggested route. You will still encounter many hills but not windy roads. Bathrooms had many dead bugs. We camped at Brandywine Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Hagerstown / Antietam Battlefield KOA, Williamsport, Maryland

Overall Rating:

The staff is rude, unfriendly and have a "don't care" attitude. The sites are close, narrow and not very level. They do not honor confirmed reservation rates so be wary. Avoid this campground if you can. We camped at Hagerstown / Antietam Battlefield KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Statesville / I-77 KOA, Statesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with good roads. Close to services, shopping and fuel stations. Easy access to I-77 and even though right next to the highway we were not bothered by the traffic noise. Would have liked a more level site but we worked out the details to level. We camped at Statesville / I-77 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Point South / Yemassee KOA, Yemassee, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Overpriced for what you get. Perhaps might be a better park for us had it not rained so much. Generally for $55.00 you would expect something special but there is nothing special about the park or the area. Quite remote. We camped at Point South / Yemassee KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Coastal Georgia RV Resort, Brunswick, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is the 3rd time we have stayed in this park. Our first stay was wonderful...clean, well maintained park. The second time was with a large group and we felt that the park has deteriorated a bit. This being our 3rd time we weren't surprised to discover that it has begun to really see its age. It appears that it was built for Class As because the sites are rather narrow and the very small concrete pad is situated up front so towables really can't use the pad which means you are always walking in mud/water on rainy days. Most likely we will not return to this park. We camped at Coastal Georgia RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Cheyenne KOA, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here for one night, which turned out to be a disaster. They have a posted sign that everyone must check into the office prior to coming on the property but they do not enforce that rule. Consequently, some crooks were allowed in and they stole jewelry from us. The management was shocked but made an off the cuff comment that while this has never happened before guess "we were the lucky ones". They did nothing to make us feel better. The park itself is OK, site was wide and level. Small store. Park itself is in the middle of nowhere and primarily good for an overnight stop as it is close to the highway. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
