Oakwood RV Resort, Fredericksburg, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for the first time with two of our grandkids. We opted for a Premium space and were very pleased. Facilities in excellent condition. Swam in the pool two times - very nice. We will be back. The general appearance showed attention to detail with no undue clutter or trash, with the roads easy to navigate and clearly marked. All the utilities at our site worked, and were conveniently located for our travel trailer. We enjoyed the cable connection, fire pit, glider and picnic table. We camped at Oakwood RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Big Bend Resort & Adventures RV Park & Campground (Big Bend Motor Inn), Terlingua, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Check-in attendant was rude. We asked more than once about a pull-through and the response was the same "I'll address that in a minute".

The area for RV was nothing more than a crushed caliche lot with hookups. Our site #33 had damp gray water refuse where a previous camper didn't properly drain. Early one morning a food service truck (18 wheeler) came in and sent caliche and dust flying. The white residue settled everywhere. The showers they provided required quarters to use. Good thing we didn't need that "amenity". This place was awful and by no means a resort! We camped at Big Bend Resort & Adventures RV Park & Campground (Big Bend Motor Inn) in a Travel Trailer.
