Shady Pines RV Park, Texarkana, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent in all aspects of an RV resort. Check in was fast, friendly and painless. The concrete streets and sites were clean, level and accessible with a 41 foot 5er. Power and water worked great. The traffic noise was barely heard from the back of the park. I will definitely recommend this to anyone. We camped at Shady Pines RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Peter D's RV Park, Sheridan, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was more than just about the campground, the owner and his wife made our 4 day stay enjoyable and fun. They offered free garden fresh veggies while we were checking in, Peter would stop by our sites and tell jokes, he cleaned the bathrooms many times a day. They gave us coupons for free appetizers at the local steak house, awesome food. Great friendly experience here. As far as the campground goes, the sites are level, long and all FHU pull through. Power, water and cable tv all work great. Even though the highway is nearby, you cannot hear it because the campground is in a valley below the road, the sound travels over you. I will definitely stay here again. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mission RV Park, El Paso, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We were here for 3 nights early April using PA discount. If you have an older GPS good luck, most of the nearby highways are new, we drove around a bit just to get here, that's my fault. Check in was smooth, make sure you have your RV license plate numbers. I believe they park all the short time RVers along the highway in very narrow pull through sites that are nothing but dust. I could touch the slide out of my neighbor when standing in my doorway. There is non-stop loud traffic on I-10. Power was ok, water pressure was good. Cable tv did not work, the cables were broken and laying on the ground. I would not stay here again. We camped at Mission RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Midway RV Park, Dexter, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 3 nights using PA discount. They have pull thru sites with 30/50 power and water no sewer, I chose that. The sites are long, level and very easy to navigate the park roads. Power was good and water pressure was good. They have a garbage can at each site, pull thru site nice touch. Cash only and friendly service. I watched March Madness B-ball on their flat screen tv with cable in the lounge. Hope you like cats. We camped at Midway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rio Grande Village RV Campground--Full Hookups , Big Bend National Park, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for two nights in a 36 foot fifth wheel. I had wished I had read the other review comments regarding parking at a diagonal vs. Straight back in to the site. The two Class A rigs across from me made it very difficult to park and unhook without doing many forward-reverse movements. Checkin and out was alright, friendly services. Electric power was good and water pressure was good. It was 102 degf both days so we were very happy to have a/c. We camped at Rio Grande Village RV Campground--Full Hookups in a Fifth Wheel.

Austin Lone Star RV Resort, Austin, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We were here for 2 nights February 21-22, 2017 using PA discount. We came from the north on I-35, the GPS takes you past the campground exit on Slaughter road then back north on the frontage road, lots of traffic but manageable. Check-in went smooth, they escort you to your site, mostly pull thrus for the transient RVers. The interior roads are all paved and the sites are gravel nicely maintained and clean sites. Our site was narrow, thank god I only have one slideout or it would have been a tight fit. Just put your garbage bag at the street and they pick it up for you, nice touch. I could hear the highway in the middle of the night, we were parked 2/3 the way towards the back of the CG. Many friendly snowbird campers with their nice rigs. I will definitely stay here again. East View RV Ranch, Georgetown, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

The RV park was easy to find and navigate with a 36 foot fifth wheel all the way to my pull through site. This is a quiet park. They staff are very friendly and accomodating, but, I'm not sure why they needed my driver license number, my truck and camper plate numbers. The roads and sites are all gravel, but very well maintained and low dust. There are no trees, there is alot of dog walking aeea. Power was good, water psi ok, antenna tv received Waco and Austin channels. There were no junky old permanent rvers in the park, nice. We stayed here in mid February using PA discount. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at East View RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverside RV Park, Ingram, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We are in a 36 foot fifth wheel, the GPS brought us to the entrance to the park but in order to register you need to walk back 3 buildings to the office. No big deal though, the owners are very easy going, cash only using PA discount. Cable was free and it worked fine, no antenna TV available here. We stayed in site 16 which is a pull through just long enough for my rig with 30 amp service. The grounds are kept clean and maintained, the other campers/residents are nice and quiet. Water pressure is good. We stayed 3 nights, and I would do it again. We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Quiet Texas RV Park - Hondo, Hondo, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 3 nights late January in a 36 foot fifth wheel. Our check in was quick and easy, very friendly owners they directed us to our site in their golf cart. We were given the option to pick the site that we liked best. The sites are spacious and clean with concrete picnic pads and tables. Water pressure is good, with a choice of 30 and 50 amp plug ins. There were many sites with trees. No trains or planes in the area, nice "Quiet" park. We camped at Quiet Texas RV Park - Hondo in a Fifth Wheel.

Sands of Time Campground, Avon, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Check in was fast and friendly, cash only, we used PA. We were here the first week of May, CG was not full yet. The sites are level with a mix of gravel and grass, the grounds are nicely kept up. They have metered electric, I did not use my AC and paid around $12 for 8 days. The wifi worked well, the cable tv was excellent.
We did not use any facilities or the laundry. The few seasonal units that are here are very well kept up and not an eye sore like in many other CGs.
They have several free roaming cats to keep the dogs on their toes. I will definitely come stay here again.
Restaurants in the area are very nice. We camped at Sands of Time Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Briarcliffe RV Resort, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Check in was fast and friendly, we stayed 6 nights using PA discount. Had to pay $2 a day extra for my motorcycle. Sites were paved, long and nice spacing, I had good shade but the spring time trees were a bit messy. Electric and water were good, road noise could be an issue if you are near the south end of the CG. Plenty of green space for dog business walks.
The pool was large, clean and many lounge chairs to use. There are many restaurants and shopping in the area. I will stop here again. We camped at Briarcliffe RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Aire RV Park & Campground, Hollywood, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Ckeck in was fast and friendly. The campground is back in the woods off the main road, a train passes nearby random times but not too loud. We selected electric, water but decided not to pay the $3 a day sewer and used one of the 2 dump stations when leaving on the 6th day. Our site was at the lower end of the grounds and had the potential of being a mud pit if it had rained at all. The site was level on gravel and dirt as were most all in the CG. The pool was clean and nice, there were a couple of ponds with catch and release fishing. The laundry had industrial size machines, nice. Charelston and shopping were within miles, the area had very scenic roads for motorcycling. I would come here again. We camped at Lake Aire RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Seasons in the Sun RV Resort, Mims, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Easy to find off I-95; check in was fast and friendly with a gate code for security. You gotta stay here if in the area. We stayed for 2 nights early April, many snowbirds left for north. We got a premium long, level concrete site overlooking a pond and green space near the club house. We did not see a bad site in the whole CG. The pools and hot tub were big, clean and warm. The power and water were good, free cable TV; Wi-Fi only worked if near the source. Note, we were close enough to the Space Center to watch a rocket launch, cool. We are considering this place for future long term stays. We camped at Seasons in the Sun RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Jolly Roger Travel Park, Marathon, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Use your eyes and not your GPS when pulling up to their entrance with setback signage. The GPS told me to turn 1 driveway too soon; I ended up backing my 36 ft 5er a quarter mile back to the main road, even Google Maps showed it wrong.

Check in was quick; if you have a dog they take $30 cash deposit. Not sure what the criteria is not to get it back, but it did not feel welcoming at all when 99% of us are responsible owners.

Most sites were dirt and grass, close to your neighbor, would not be able to put awning out. Cable TV was missing at my site, needed a 30 ft cable to reach next site. Power and water supply were good.

The pool was big, clean and warm with nice shower and restrooms.

The laundry was very expensive, and it appears the washers are setup for low water usage. We stayed here 2 nights passing through, OK for that long. We camped at Jolly Roger Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sunshine Key RV Resort & Marina (Closed temporarily), Big Pine Key, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Check-in was fast and friendly. Sites were tight to turn into with a 36 ft 5er; had to back out of my pull-through site because there were too many vehicles and rigs hanging out of adjacent sites. This is a huge resort with mostly all 6 month stay snowbirds, each has their site loaded to the max with stuff.

Very nice pool, beaches are poor, nice pier for viewing sunsets.

For-pay Internet, we did not sign up for. Had to share my water spigot with the neighbor, very low pressure. Cable TV was free.

Key West was 39 miles south, not much to see nearby attractions. We camped at Sunshine Key RV Resort & Marina (Closed temporarily) in a Fifth Wheel.
