Seaport RV Resort, Old Mystic, Connecticut

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Easy entry into pull-thru site from a wide road. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Site not completely flat but nearly so. During season amenities look like fun with a miniature golf and laser tag area. There is a pond but due to rains not easy to get to without getting shoes muddy. Nice stream close to our site. Wifi was good. Was warned that water would be shut off the day we were to leave. A previous park just shut water off without warning so this was an example of good service. Overall we enjoyed the park and would return when in the area again. We camped at Seaport RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Jugtown Mountain Campsites, Asbury, New Jersey

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Based on website we originally planned to spend 2 nights here but when we pulled into parking lot with lots of equipment being worked on and a cluttered look, decided to go with 1 night and add if we enjoyed our stay. Were offered choice of 2 pull through sites. Road into camp had lots of potholes and passed by what appeared to be abused equipment & vehicles. When we arrived at site one of our choices was already occupied. Another had a narrow entry but other end was a mud bog with 6" of standing water. We were able to enter with our 42' rig but the site was not level enough to try to level our rig. Lots of permanent trailers in the park. Was told hunters use the campground in the fall. We left after one night. Navigating the trees was a challenge. Would not return. We camped at Jugtown Mountain Campsites in a Fifth Wheel.

Pride RV Resort, Waynesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Pull through site was flat & easy to enter with our 42' rig. Ponds and stream made for very pleasant surroundings. We stayed 10 days and it rained hard a couple of those days but no real puddles in the park. Wifi was good though a couple of times we went off line in middle of doing something. The pool wasn't open but due to air temp we probably would not have used it. I imagine that during the season it might be noisier than while we were there.

We would return to this park if back in the area. We camped at Pride RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Asheville was 30 minutes away, Franklin gem mines 45 minutes, Smokey Mtn. National Park nearby, Cherokee with it's gambling and Native American interests is 30 minutes away. For some hot, tasty chicken you may want to try Rocky's in Asheville... even their mild chicken has heat, so be warned.

Ripplin Waters Campground, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here 4 nights while waiting to get rig into dealer for service. The staff were helpful and extremely friendly. Access from the interstate was easy, however getting out of the park one has to turn right then do a U-turn to head back to the interstate. Sites were level and due to low occupancy we were able to "pull through" to our site. Some road noise and some litter but overall a nice park. We would stay again. We camped at Ripplin Waters Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to try the moonshine tasting at the distillery. Also, walking around the knife store is an awesome way to spend the afternoon. Had no idea there were so many knives available to purchase.

Overall Rating:

Had a pull through which was designed well. Arrived in rain and it rained all 3 days we were here. Individual shower rooms with their own entrance. which we didn't use. Pleasant game room, small library, & small laundry (4 machines). Park has a pond and swimming pool. Office staff very helpful and congenial. We camped at Texarkana KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

TranQuil Garden RV Park, Salado, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

When making reservations was told that park almost full so no discount. When we arrived there had been cancellations and discount was honored. Exit from I-30 still under construction and access roads very narrow but doable. Park is well laid out and puts the "fun" in funky with lots of interesting items in trees, garden, & in fence. Owner guided us to site and helped us park our 42 footer in a pull through. He was gracious and offered advice on a couple of things we were ignorant of. There was some morning traffic noise and it rained one of the days there but we were extremely pleased and will stay here again if we come this way. We camped at TranQuil Garden RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
