Luray KOA (formerly Luray RV Resort Country Waye), Luray, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We had one of the new back-in sites in the New Area. Our site also had a beautiful view, and easy access to the Center Park. Playground for kids, a new pavillion, and group Yurt (where they had singing on Saturday night). This campground is very well maintained and off the beaten path, surrounded by farms. Our Camping Group goes here every year! We camped at Luray KOA (formerly Luray RV Resort Country Waye) in a Fifth Wheel.

Shenandoah Hills Campground, Madison, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

The campground had a real stench in our campsite area. We Later found it was coming from the Bath Houses! Yes, it was so bad, that it could be smelled outside and down from the sites. They have TONS of Goofy Rules, and make you read them upon check in. They provided FREE WiFi, but charge you for basic Cable. Some people where asked if they wanted it, others where not. Don't even ask me why they need a gate key system for this campground, I guess they hope you forget to return the card for the Deposit. Also, they provide clean up bags for the dog owners, but no trash cans to deposit them into. So everywhere to go on the trails, they are scattered around on the ground. We will NOT be visiting this Campground Again! We camped at Shenandoah Hills Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Luray, Luray, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The campground was clean, and well managed. Our group enjoyed the water slide and putt putt course. Only thing negative is the gas golf carts, speeding all over the place. They threw up dust from the gravel roads, and coated everything. We will return in the future! We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Luray in a Fifth Wheel.

They have a great pool, well stocked store and neat snack bar. The game room was a little small, but also have a fishing pond, shuffle board and a Rec. Hall. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Some roads are paved and some gravel, all seem to be in good condition. Overall I enjoyed this park and will return there again. We camped at Ramblin' Pines Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice new park. Sites are very close together, but very clean and concrete paved. There are lighted hook up posts, and a great laundry facility. We would love to visit for a week, after the area finished rebuilding from the storms. We camped at Majestic Oaks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Granite Hill Campground & Adventure Golf, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We were lucky to park across for a small group of inconsiderate drunks. They brought their Pit Bulls and chained them to the back side of there campers, so they did not have to cleanup after them. The campground management did not care, that one couple had to exit their motorhome with a hammer in their hand. The staff was not very friendly! Please do not show up 10 minutes before check in time. For if your not a regular, they will charge to an additional day charge. This will be our last stay at this Campground.. We camped at Granite Hill Campground & Adventure Golf in a Fifth Wheel.

Amelia Family Campground, Amelia Court House, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

It was an OK, Small Country Campground. The Sites where a little confusing. One road through the campground, was difficult to maneuver. With 3 Satellite Dish's attached to a tree, pointing into the road. One showed signs of a recent meeting with a RV! The Grass was not cut, due to their desire to raise some straw. So we where told from the management! We camped at Amelia Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
