Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park, Belleville, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Community let we down again, this is not a 7. Large open grass area with sites. Bathrooms are old. Water tastes terrible. Voltage below 120 on surge protector. Must too expensive for what it is. OK for a 1 or 2 night stay. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Haas Lake Park RV Campground, New Hudson, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with lots of lakes. Park is full of almost full-timers. Lots of planned activities. We had fun. Some 50amp sites are shaded but all taken by full-timers. The rest are in the open. Dirt road into park is bad and muddy as is the roads in the park. Our site was at the far end, so WiFi was non-existent. And we had to drive to the office or restroom. Over priced but, Would stay again if closer to WiFi. We camped at Haas Lake Park RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Bluffton / Fort Wayne South KOA, Bluffton, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 3 nights. When we arrived office closed with a note. Had to wait 15-30 minutes before somebody arrived to check us in. They were very accommodating when we asked to change sites. Good for a short stay. WiFi was terrible. After it rains it gets very muddy. We camped at Bluffton / Fort Wayne South KOA in a Motorhome.

Sharp RV Park, Saint Joseph, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The Community has let me down again, a rating of 4 is generous. This is a terrible RV park. I would suggest that you ignore any other reviews except this one and the previous one unless you are going rent monthly. We were promised a site with shade when we arrived we were assigned a site in the open with the only shade at 6pm. As previously stated overnighters are packed in like sardines on a gravel lot on top of a hill. There are no tables. The sites are simple rock and gravel with utilities. Long-term residents get all the best sites. We had a long pull-through but very close to our neighbors. It was fairly quiet at night. There is only one restroom in the same building as the laundry and it is not air conditioned. There is what used to be a rec room, but from the looks of it, it hasn't been used in a long time. WiFi did work OK. The nightly rate is for 1 week with PPA discount. We will definitely not stay here again. We were here in a MH. We camped at Sharp RV Park in a Motorhome.

Longview Lake Campground, Lee's Summit, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful county park that is spotless and very well kept. All facilities are in great repair and sites are comfortably separated and well defined. All the roads have been paved. Large grass areas. My biggest complaint is that hardly any of the FHU sites are level. There were several MHs with wheels off of the ground. The W/E sites are better but not by much. There is no WiFi, but a lot of tv channels. Would only stay again, could get a more level site. We camped at Longview Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park, Carthage, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a really nice campground but not worth a 9 rating. Passport America rates. All sites are pull-thrus but are a lot are not very level, they are the longest pull-thrus we have seen at least 75 feet long. Gravel sites and roads. The park is relatively new, only 2.5 yrs old. The owners are the nicest people and are working hard on this RV park and it shows. Bath/shower/laundry building are among the nicest we have seen. RV Park is relatively tree-less which is a problem when it is hot outside. This is one of the few parks where somebody has thought about the location of the evening sun and has arranged the sites so that your door is facing correctly. Very easy maneuvering with ease while entering/leaving the park and site. Spacing between sites is very good. Camp Mi Casa is right on historic route 66 about a half-mile from the Route 66 Drive-In. We would absolutely stay here again if in the Carthage area. The only minor issues are no picnic tables, No shade in the pool area, and I am not a big fan of gravel sites. WiFi worked well. Fort Smith / Alma RV Park, Alma, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Not sure why such a low rating. I have stayed at worse with a better rating. The only complaint is that it is way too expensive and too far away from Ft Smith. This campground is easy to find, just follow the Garmin, but don't turn off of 71. The entrance in on 71. Check-in was easy, but they got my reservation date wrong. Staff was friendly and helpful. Interior roads are paved, but narrow. Our site was long, but narrow and not very level. Sites are also kind of close. Full hookups worked as expected. WIFI worked well. Verizon had four bars. OTA TV worked great. They offer a free cable box, but for me it would have been to much of a hassle to hook it up. This is a great place for pets, lots of dog walking room. This is an older campground with a few extended stay guests at the upper end. It's also a really pretty park with lots of grass and mature trees. This is a decent place to camp, but because of price and distance to Ft Smith, we probably wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Fort Smith / Alma RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cherokee Lakes RV Park, Alexander, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Not a 7, rating should be 5. GPS directions will take you to the gate if you type in the address which needs a code. I would call and have them give you directions. You need to call when you are about to arrive so that they can meet you and escort you to the park. Google directions are useless and the internal address of my Garmin is incorrect. As others have stated, this is a bit off the beaten path, with narrow roads, but traffic is very light so we had no problems with our 40' diesel bus and a toad. Lake is more like a pond, but is private and doesn't require a license to fish. The son of the family that owns this park couldn't be nicer. The father I found to be a little unfriendly. When Wi-Fi wouldn't work (only works if by the office) I asked if I could sit in the office. The 1st response was "you could sit outside" when I pointed out that it was 95 and 80% humidity. The answer begrudgingly was "Go sit over there; I hope you don't need to do this often." Using the bathrooms is very inconvenient. You need to get a key and then bring it back. That would be OK except that the office is not manned all of the time. You want a back in spot by the lake. This provides the best sun exposure. The surrounding area is beautiful. We camped at Cherokee Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome. Not sure if I would stay again. We camped at Cherokee Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Memphis KOA , Marion, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was a FHU, pull-through with cable TV. It was fairly level and roomy enough for us. Lots of trees except for the concrete sites. Many recent reviews have mentioned flooded grounds and terrible bug problems. We were here when the park was dry and the bug season has not yet begun. Although it was quite warm, the pool was not yet open. This is a decent park. Our site was gravel, looking at the concrete sites they were the worst that I have seen. Most were cracked, broken and not level. The rate is to much for what it is and distance from Memphis. Also lots of I-55 noise. Would probability not stay again because of that. Natchez Trace RV Park, Tupelo, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

No WiFi service, dumpster is far away walk from campground. Site not level and close together and narrow. Was convenient to Tupelo. Decent Verizon service. We stayed two nights. There isn't a whole lot of choices in the area. Someone left the laundry room door open and it was full of bugs. Not sure if we would stay again. We camped at Natchez Trace RV Park in a Motorhome.

Choctaw Lake - Tombigbee NF, Ackerman, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice park. Stayed 2 days, would have stayed longer if scheduled allowed. Highly recommend site 16. Don't believe the website. Originally booked 15 but low branches and short pad made us change. Site spacing is awesome as is the view of the lake. We camped at Choctaw Lake - Tombigbee NF in a Motorhome.

Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park, Vicksburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Good for a 1 or 2 night stay. We were lucky that our site was level. There are many which are not level. It looks like they poured the cement sites without any ground prep. Website mentions river view but there is no view from the RV park. Would stay again. We camped at Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park in a Motorhome.

River View RV Park & Resort, Vidalia, Louisiana

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with previous reviewers except for us the WiFi worked OK. We were in site 15 with is full shade which we liked because the weather was starting to get warm. I personally don't think getting a site right next to the river is worth the extra money. There is a big berm which blocks the view. The only complaint is the bugs. Couldn't enjoy being outside. Would probability stay there again. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

New Orleans KOA, River Ridge, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicest KOA parks we have stayed at. The people are absolutely superb in their knowledge and service. When taking the free shuttle into town they give to a tour of the city. The sites are wide level concrete with grass in between. Wi-Fi worked OK. The park was so nice we extended our stay. They will also walk you dog while you are away (for a fee). The big complaint is the train noise. The tracks are right in back of the park and while the trains are not frequent they are loud. Would definitely stay here again. Poche's RV Park, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Definitely for fisherman. Most sites over look a lake. Fishing is free if you are staying there. Relatively quite. Site was cement and level separated by grass. Wi-Fi worked OK. Major complaint is the state of the roads which is terrible. We requested a different site only because the road to get there was so bad. Would stay there again. We camped at Poche's RV Park in a Motorhome.
