Bay View RV Resort, Rockport, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

10 for CC and 10 for a "resort fee". What resort?? On top of that they charge $3 for cable. They are still recovering from Harvey, so some allowances need to be made. However, The sites are very un-level and a lot are just dirt. Our site had a big back to front slope. Most sites do not have a picnic table, we asked for one, they said they would bring one but it never arrived. Our sewer connection was slightly up hill. The WiFi only works in the club house. Roads are rough. Most sites are under live oak trees which is nice. There is some road noise if you are in the front of the park. Would not stay here again. We camped at Bay View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Braunig Lake RV Resort, Elmendorf, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Large RV Park, with long pull-thru's. Park has all of the usual amenities, close to San Antonio. Only 2 real complaints. The sites are very close together. We were lucky that the park was not full and there was nobody next to us. The second is that when sitting outside there is a sewer smell. Also when we went to our assigned site after check in the surge protector said there was an open ground. They assigned us a different site. They did come by to check out the original site but they couldn't find anything wrong. Would probably stay here again. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pecan Valley RV Park, Junction, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice and secluded RV Park. Lots of open grassy space. Site was a bit un-level front to back, levelers were able to level OK. Quiet with just a little road noise. No amenities except bath and showers. WiFi was OK for e-mail. Cell service weak. Stayed a wonderful 2 quiet nights. Would definitely come back again. We camped at Pecan Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Desert Willow RV Park, Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

The main problem is that the train track is just across the street, with the train coming by and blowing its whistle 5 times during the night. Very pet friendly. WiFi worked OK. Would not stay there again because of no sleep. We camped at Desert Willow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Fort Stockton RV Park, Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Most of the short term sites are pull-thrus with some grass and a picnic table. We were assigned a back-in which had no grass and was just dirt. No help backing in even though we were escorted. WiFi worked well. Would only stay again if assigned a pull-thru. Large pet lighted pet area. Don't follow google directions, look for signs when you get off of the freeway. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Really nice indoor pool and clubhouse. Sites are wide all back-in. WiFi is very spotty. lots of full timers. Lots of noise from nearby airport, we would not stay again. We camped at Mission View RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Ridgeview RV Resort, Bullhead City, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

All open spaces with a patio. No WiFi. OK park for the money, main problem is noise. You are right next to the landing path at the airport. Because of this it is very noisy, We would not stay there again. Also asked at the office about posted activities and she couldn't answer any questions even basic ones like how much it it. No picnic tables. We camped at Ridgeview RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nevada Treasure RV Resort & Spa, Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, quiet, clean RV park with all of the amenities, including a bowling alley. My big objection is that a lot of the sites have the patio on the wrong side. Do not pay for a garden site they are no different then a normal site. Some of the extra long sites have a gazebo. They also have a new hire for security who makes up rules and doesn't know the pet rules. WiFi very spotty. No picnic tables. Rate is the weekly rate for a garden site. We would stay there again. We camped at Nevada Treasure RV Resort & Spa in a Motorhome.

Homolovi Ruins State Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Agree with previous review not much to do except see the ruins, but is was very quite and relaxing. I would not recommend site 20. It is probability the most unlevel site at the CG. The connections at the pull-thru sites are on the wrong side. We camped at Homolovi Ruins State Park in a Motorhome.

Albuquerque North / Bernalillo KOA, Bernalillo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Don't usually stay at a KOA, because they are usually expensive and not worth what they charge. This park is an exception. Though the sites are close together , I liked the artificial turf between sites. Has all of the amenities as well as a free shuttle to casino. Staff was very helpful. I would stay there again. We camped at Albuquerque North / Bernalillo KOA in a Motorhome.

Quail Ridge RV Park, Mayer, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground for a couple of night stay. There is no dog area, but when we checked-in the lady said we could walk our dog in the grass area even though there is a sign which says no dogs. I was worried about hwy noise but was glad to find out that it wasn't an issue. The sewer hook up was at a slight up-hill. I would stay there again, an 8 rating in my opinion is a little high. We camped at Quail Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice RV park. As others have said the sites in this park except sites 1-10 are the largest sites we have encountered. The park is mainly full-timers, but in this case it is an asset. All of the people are super friendly and have organized activities during the week (bingo, taco Tuesdays, breakfast waffles, Halloween party... ). Very strict on the rules but that is what keeps the park looking so nice. Cell coverage was marginal with Verizon. The only real ding is the price. The water pressure would fluctuate a lot, between 20 an 65 psi. We will definitely be back. We camped there in a MH. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pikes Peak RV Park, Manitou Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Nice RV Park within walking distance to Manitou Springs. I agree with the other reviews that the spaces are very close together. The sites are gravel with a cement patio. Parking is tight and we had to park our truck in the overflow parking lot. The park is very clean and has a gate to the park next door. The staff is expert in helping you back into your space. The only 2 dings are that it is a little expensive for what it is and that there is no WiFi. Despite that we would definitely stay there again. We camped at Pikes Peak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Dakota Ridge RV Park, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

Overall this is one of the better campgrounds in the area. They keep it pretty, offer good service and work on greenery and amenities. I would have liked to see a little more space between sites with a private area for each RV. Being one of the fancier parks also means it's jam packed. In our 10 days there we never saw a site sit empty for more than ½ a day, so if you're coming in the summer, book ahead. Being busy also means it a bit on the noisy side and you do hear traffic on Hwy 6 which runs right in front. Location is decent as far as exploring the area. You're close to town, Denver and the parks. There's only one hike on-site which requires bush-whacking across the field behind the storage facility (gets you to Hogsback), but otherwise you're close to many hikes in nearby William F Hayden Park and other areas in Golden. Overall a very decent "city" RV park, but if we come back we'll probably try to find something . Dog walk area is terrible, just a drainage ditch or hillside with long weeds. Rv Site was broken making it very hard to level. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

BJ's Campground, Lusk, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park but too expensive for what it is. Not a big fan of being on the street with no privacy. Also there is a train that you can hear late at night. Big rig friendly with level sites. Wifi and showers were good. No dog park but park across street to walk dog. Cable was good with over 50 channels. Owner was very friendly, helpful with things to do in the area, and kept the campground looking great. We camped at BJ's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
