Ekstroms Stage Station, Clinton, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The RV park was packed. We came in without reservations and the only sites available had 20 amp - which meant no a/c for us. We were placed in the shady tree area which was perfect. Close to the restrooms and really close to the creek and wonderful views of the mountains. I used the shower - very awkward set-up which required walking thru one shower dressing area to reach mine. I did not like intruding on the stall next to me to exit while they were showering. My shower was a trickle, while theirs had adequate pressure. We ate at the restaurant for dinner & breakfast. The food is excellent and portions are huge. Loved the homemade soup & jam and the extensive salad bar. Love the historic stage station building that is the restaurant/rv office. Will return again next trip out this way. We camped at Ekstroms Stage Station in a Travel Trailer.

Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park, Cardwell, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, spacious sites with incredible views! Clean bathrooms. Easy maneuvering inside the campground. Grateful for the shade tree as it was very warm during our stay. Park staff were friendly and professional. We enjoyed the cave tour (just the paradise tour for physically challenged) and our tour guide was a friendly and patient lady (wish we remembered her name). Be aware there is a semi-long dusty hike to cave entrances. Saw many deer during our stay. Cost was a little high and we were under the misconception that the cave tour was included in camp fees - not sure where I read that. Large newer playground for the kiddos. We camped at Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Go take a drive along the river while there. Pelicans hang out on the sand bars. The tour is excellent. If you take the long tour, make sure you are physically fit - lots of stairs and a hike to the entrance. If you feel like dining out, an excellent option is the LaHood Park restaurant down the road (excellent steaks!) and friendly hardworking staff - great history in the area!

Osens RV Park & Campground, Livingston, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice RV Park, great dog run area. Clean and well manicured sites. Easy back-in and maneuvering once inside park. Entrance area is a little tight, road in is down a little country lane and when 2 or three big rigs come in, the road may be blocked for a bit. Very well maintained. Wish we could have stayed a few days to enjoy the area as this park was very nice. We camped at Osens RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

7th Ranch RV Camp, Garryowen, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I can't say enough great things about this park! Friendly greeting and escort to our site. Sites were terraced, level and what a beautiful territorial view! Everything worked great, wifi was excellent, bathrooms were pristine and well designed. Free ice cream upon arrival. Quiet and beautifully landscaped. Will definitely recommend this park to anyone visiting the battlefield very nearby. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Black Hills Whispering Pines, Silver City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful Pool, nice country-style store being renovated, friendly staff. Bathroom/Shower area HORRIBLE. Absolutely disgusting, outdated, slimy walls, hair on shower walls, peeling paint, rotting wood, rusty/corroded fittings, poor temp control in showers, missing drain covers, dirty floors, dirty walls, dirty sinks. Bring a self-contained rig and use your own bath facilities. Bring your bathing suit though as the pool is pristine and new looking. New pool could've waited, updated bath/shower house should be priority. Wishing we had not paid in full for several days on first day & could have left. Pull-through sites not angled, stepped out door of trailer to picnic table next to neighbors sewer connection. Poor spacing between sites, had to drive over grass (as instructed) to negotiate turns. Firepits next to vehicles with just enough space to put your chair against your vehicle to enjoy a fire - dangerously close to rigs. Half of campground serviced with porta potties and no shade trees at all. Very disappointed. WiFi was adequate. Location was nice, views were nice. I took photos and will add them to the review. We camped at Black Hills Whispering Pines in a Travel Trailer.

Sibley Lake (USFS), Dayton, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful sites, some terraced. Large, long and spacious. Shady, paved and level. Separation between sites is great: lots of privacy. It gets cool in June (30's at night). Beautiful peek-a-boo view of the lake from our site. Walking trails, boardwalk and fishing available. Very well taken care of. We spotted Moose near the park and saw fish jumping in the lake. The only drawback was having no water hook-up. We would stay again! We camped at Sibley Lake (USFS) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Carefully consider your driving abilities if headed west bound on 14A as it is steep and windy (10% grade over 10 miles). Eastbound was not a problem. Abundant wildlife out in the evenings.

Custer State Park - Game Lodge Campground, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful spacious sites with great shade trees and views. Loved the buffalo just outside the fence. Clean showers, clean restrooms. Even the pit toilets were spotless. Wish we had stayed here for our entire stay instead of moving to a private campground for the last half of our stay. Park staff were quick to remove tree limbs after a wind storm. I can't recommend this place enough!! We camped at Custer State Park - Game Lodge Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Book a site early in the year as this park is very busy. Beautiful area. In summer, try to get shady sites next to the creek!

Clayton Lake State Park, Clayton, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful view sites near the lake. No problems with power or water hookups. Most sites are terraced so everyone has a view. Lovely. Clean and well maintained. Quite a ways from town for travelers, but so worth it. I would most definitely stay here again. We camped at Clayton Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pagosa Riverside Campground, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Park is nicely located next to the river. Beautiful setting. A little pricey, but I believe that being close to the resort town warrants the cost. Was a little concerned when we checked in: parked by the pool. Above ground, vinyl type, back yard pool with sides sagging. Sites were a little crowded. The staff was very pleasant: nice people. We camped at Pagosa Riverside Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Mustang Run RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

One of the cleanest, well kept parks we've stayed at. Friendly check-in. The restroom/shower facilities were spotless and like new, spacious, clean and air-conditioned. Nice pool & barbecue area. Great wi-fi. No problems with power or wi-fi. Close enough to OKC, but outside of the city. Felt safe & secure. No fears for storms: 3 up-to-date looking storm shelters. Right off the interstate, although locating the entrance may be confusing. Just follow directions to the nearby La Quinta Inn & drive past it to find the park. Excellent all around. Would stay here again. We camped at Mustang Run RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Seven Points Campground COE, Hermitage, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 4 days just back from the Lake. Beautiful Park, lovely sites near the lake. Great recreation facilities. Excellent bargain price. Showers definitely needed maintenance: some handles broken off, some loose. No ventilation in showers or restrooms meant heat & humidity was stifling and very unpleasant. Fans would be a big help. Grounds very well maintained. Sites are HUGE, extra long, shaded and well laid out. Very close to town and convenient. We camped at Seven Points Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.

Chelan County Expo Center, Cashmere, Washington

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Nice grassy field with plenty of sites. When occupancy is low, these would be considered pull-throughs. Each site accommodates RV + 2 vehicles. Pets allowed. Bathroom/Showers and full-hookups. Across the street from Chelan County Expo Center/Fairgrounds. A dog fun area is provided to let your pups run, although we didn't look for it. Wi-Fi was good & strong. Clear view of sky for sat dishes. No shade - could be hot in summer. No picnic tables at sites. Quiet, and beautiful surroundings. Train tracks in the distance, but far enough away that it didn't disturb us. Can be a little windy here. We camped at Chelan County Expo Center in a Travel Trailer.
