Fair Harbor RV Park, Perry, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Level spot. Great park for a one night stop over. The site was big enough for our truck and trailer so that we could stay connected. The staff was friendly. WiFi spotty. Verizon good. Many cable channels to choose from. We camped at Fair Harbor RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Creekwood Resort Campground & Cabins, Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

From the moment you roll in to Creekwood you get the feeling that you are visiting family. The owner will email you when they are open. She called for an ETA and when we arrived, she was out of the office to meet us. The owner directed my husband into the very long spot better than anyone! Definitely let her assist. She knows what she is doing! The camp WiFi password makes you feel warm all over. I can't tell you what it is, I guess you will have to go there to find out. But it's something your mom would say to you when you arrived home after a long trip! Even though it is located next to the road, we were downhill from it and it was not a bother. The graveled patio was very spacious and clean. The fire ring was stone, not a rusted tire rim like so many. Owner's advice of what to do and where to eat is excellent. Take notes. I know it sounds like I must be related, but I honestly just met her! She answers every question and truly takes care of you while you are there! Thanks to the owners for a very wonderful stay. You made us feel very welcome. We camped at Creekwood Resort Campground & Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Go to Bodensee for their Brie in foil-fantastic! The bakery at Hofer's Has a lot to offer. The Cabbage Patch Babyland is so cute it makes you love them again. Get the Jambalaya across the street from Creekwood. We got it frozen and heated it up after a long day of running errands.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp-Resort at Raintree Lake, Scottsburg, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Extremely unlevel. Staff had to loan us a thick board because our Anderson levels were not high enough. The park caters to families with young children. WiFi limited to 2 devices and slow. Very close to neighbors. Sewer hoses at the end of the site so extensions are necessary. Barely room for trailer and truck. We could not put out our awning. Many of the young families left their dogs tied up or fenced while they went away so the dogs barked all day. Very helpful and friendly staff. Best water pressure of a 3 month trip. Broken sewer drain on our site. Good playground for kids. Lots of activities for families with kids. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp-Resort at Raintree Lake in a Travel Trailer.

Nashville North KOA, Goodlettsville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

The park is right next to a major interstate highway so there is a lot of road noise. The spot was level but very tight. The speed bumps will knock your teeth out. Far drive to Nashville downtown. Very nice owners. We camped at Nashville North KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Country Roads Motorhome & RV Park, Lake Delton, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Unfortunately we were there during a big rally. That was the second time out of three visits. We did meet some very nice people. But it does seem like the rallies take over a lot here. The staff is nice. A band was playing in the pavilion both of the weekend nights. We had been traveling for two months and this was the first park that we had to bring out our levels. We had a nice shady spot with plenty of room. WiFi was spotty. Verizon was good. We camped at Country Roads Motorhome & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lakeshore Park Campground, Saint Ignace, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

The WiFi was good as well as Verizon. Site was level. The site really was not long enough to stay connected. Their bathrooms were the cleanest bathrooms I have seen in an RV Park. It is confusing with motorcoaches pulling in facing Lake Michigan and fifth wheels and travel trailers backing in. If you back in you have to go under your rig to hook up to the correct electrical post. Have a long cord! We ended up facing another front door each new arrival. One turned on the outside TV all day even though in the rig, sat in our chairs and used our table, the other ones were extremely respectful of our small space and we became great friends with them since we faced each other! So hope you get some great neighbors if you have to face them! We loved our peaceful view of Lake Michigan and enjoyed watching the freighters go by and the fog roll in. The stars at night are gorgeous and you can even see the Milky Way. OTA TV had an excellent visit Michigan channel. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Be sure and drive up to Tahquamenon Falls and White Point. The ferry to Mackinac Island is fun and a shuttle will come get you at the RV park. The Zodiac store has the best pasties-try the chicken ones too!

Burlington Bay Campground, Two Harbors, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The view of Lake Superior is gorgeous. We stayed in the tiered area which had plenty of room. The WiFi was marginal, nothing unusual here. Verizon was pretty good. No cable. We didn't try OTA. Our spot was level. There is a great walking path through the woods right across the street. We saw a mother deer and her two fawns while we were walking one night. Very relaxing atmosphere. We camped at Burlington Bay Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Be sure and visit Great Lakes Candy. Some of the best homemade chocolate delights! Their caramel is very good and I don't even like caramel usually. The Vanilla Bean restaurant had very good food. Blackwoods had a fantastic wild rice patty melt. Yum.

Frontier Bar & Campground, Saxon, Wisconsin

Overall Rating:

Our Site was nice and level. We had plenty of space for our trailer and tow vehicle. The space was wide enough to put out our slides without difficulty. Verizon was great. Staff was friendly. We stayed for an overnight stop and it was perfect for that. There is a gas station with the bar and office. We camped at Frontier Bar & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Pictured Rocks RV Park & Campground, Christmas, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is brand new and just getting started so the owners are still working hard to get things right. There was WiFi but it kept going down totally so very unreliable. The owner did work with us although it wasn't resolved even after the IT guy made a visit. Our spot was grass and gravel. It was roomy mainly because the park has not been discovered yet and was not full. It is very close to Pictured Rocks. No cable, we didn't try OTA. Verizon was weak. We camped at Pictured Rocks RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Columbus Woods-N-Waters, Columbus, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

WiFi was not good, Verizon was weak. No sewer hookups. Long enough for our trailer and truck. The gravel was level with picnic table, no patio. Some sites were messy and junky like long timers. We were later than 5:00 so the staff pinned our site map on the board at the office. They put a traffic cone on our site to reserve it. They were nice on the phone. There are hiking paths in the woods around the park. Lots of trees to avoid. We camped at Columbus Woods-N-Waters in a Travel Trailer.

Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground, Yuma, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Great cable, WiFi, and Verizon. Cement pad was very level. Table and chairs instead of picnic table was a preferred option. Our truck and trailer had plenty of room. The sites were close but staggered therefore giving the illusion that they were not. The staff was very friendly and we loved the fact that they were email efficient. We received a request email for a confirmation that we only had to click confirm. Another email came with names and phone numbers when we checked in. And another one when we checked out saying thank you and hope you come back! Propane is filled by weight so fill up here. They will cook a pizza and deliver to your door. They had a very comprehensive brochure. There were multiple big rig friendly gas stations nearby. Beautiful grounds with a catch and release pond. We camped at Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Frog Hollow Campground RV Park, Grenada, Mississippi

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The owners were really nice and guided us to our site. The site was grass and a little gravel but level. Our truck was at a downward angle and since we stayed connected we had to really raise the back end. The interstate is close by and you could hear the road noise although with the AC on it wiped out most of it. The price was a little high for no pool and the type of site we had. It was a good overnight stop. It was long enough for our truck and trailer. The roads were easy to navigate. We camped at Frog Hollow Campground RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Eagles Landing RV Park, Holt, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of my favorite overnight RV parks. The pull-throughs are long and level, each site is shady on the door side where it should be. There are no obstacles to negotiate, even the trees are in the right places. There is no pool, but at this price and for overnight, who cares? Travelers Campground, Alachua, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed overnight here for years on the way out of Florida. The unusual parking design has been greatly improved with the new pavement including paved exits. But the speed bumps should go. They are destructive even at 5 mph! They guide you to your spot and offer to assist you in hooking up. The spot was completely level. The new owners have upgraded the facility a lot and it is still a place that is great for overnighters. We camped at Travelers Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Rice Creek RV Resort, Riverview, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We moved our trailer here to prepare it for a long trip so we could do it with air conditioning. They guide you to your spot and offer to help you hook up. The park is mostly full-timers but there are nightly spots available. It is close to grocery stores, gas, restaurants, etc, because it is right in the middle of Riverview. The laundry facilities are next to the library they have. The pool has two spas, one hot and one body temperature. That is really nice! Our site was grass with a very broken cement pad but it was completely level. It was easy to back in to, no obstructions. Our spot did not have trees but many others did. We camped at Rice Creek RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
