Columbus Woods-N-Waters, Columbus, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

WiFi was not good, Verizon was weak. No sewer hookups. Long enough for our trailer and truck. The gravel was level with picnic table, no patio. Some sites were messy and junky like long timers. We were later than 5:00 so the staff pinned our site map on the board at the office. They put a traffic cone on our site to reserve it. They were nice on the phone. There are hiking paths in the woods around the park. Lots of trees to avoid. We camped at Columbus Woods-N-Waters in a Travel Trailer.

Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground, Yuma, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Great cable, WiFi, and Verizon. Cement pad was very level. Table and chairs instead of picnic table was a preferred option. Our truck and trailer had plenty of room. The sites were close but staggered therefore giving the illusion that they were not. The staff was very friendly and we loved the fact that they were email efficient. We received a request email for a confirmation that we only had to click confirm. Another email came with names and phone numbers when we checked in. And another one when we checked out saying thank you and hope you come back! Propane is filled by weight so fill up here. They will cook a pizza and deliver to your door. They had a very comprehensive brochure. There were multiple big rig friendly gas stations nearby. Beautiful grounds with a catch and release pond. We camped at Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Frog Hollow Campground RV Park, Grenada, Mississippi

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The owners were really nice and guided us to our site. The site was grass and a little gravel but level. Our truck was at a downward angle and since we stayed connected we had to really raise the back end. The interstate is close by and you could hear the road noise although with the AC on it wiped out most of it. The price was a little high for no pool and the type of site we had. It was a good overnight stop. It was long enough for our truck and trailer. The roads were easy to navigate. We camped at Frog Hollow Campground RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Eagles Landing RV Park, Holt, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of my favorite overnight RV parks. The pull-throughs are long and level, each site is shady on the door side where it should be. There are no obstacles to negotiate, even the trees are in the right places. There is no pool, but at this price and for overnight, who cares? We camped at Eagles Landing RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a gas station in Holt down the road from the park but it is not for big rigs or trailers. I would recommend filling up before or after.

Travelers Campground, Alachua, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed overnight here for years on the way out of Florida. The unusual parking design has been greatly improved with the new pavement including paved exits. But the speed bumps should go. They are destructive even at 5 mph! They guide you to your spot and offer to assist you in hooking up. The spot was completely level. The new owners have upgraded the facility a lot and it is still a place that is great for overnighters. We camped at Travelers Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Rice Creek RV Resort, Riverview, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We moved our trailer here to prepare it for a long trip so we could do it with air conditioning. They guide you to your spot and offer to help you hook up. The park is mostly full-timers but there are nightly spots available. It is close to grocery stores, gas, restaurants, etc, because it is right in the middle of Riverview. The laundry facilities are next to the library they have. The pool has two spas, one hot and one body temperature. That is really nice! Our site was grass with a very broken cement pad but it was completely level. It was easy to back in to, no obstructions. Our spot did not have trees but many others did. We camped at Rice Creek RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Madison, Madison, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Had to level slightly. Barely fit in the pull-through. Shady spot. There is not a sign indicating where to turn. Look for the Madison RV Park sign that is next door. Great pool and play for kids. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Madison in a Travel Trailer.

Eagles Landing RV Park, Holt, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Perfectly designed park! Even the way the sun shines puts each door and picnic table in the shade. Very well maintained and landscaped. They charge $1 extra for WiFi, but cell reception is great and we just used our cell hotspot. The pull-throughs are wide and long. The roads are easy to maneuver. Great park to stay at when traveling overnight to someplace. Check or cash only. No ice, no propane, no pool. We camped at Eagles Landing RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Bayou Wilderness RV Resort, Carencro, Louisiana

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park in 2014 and it was maintained lots better then. The paved roads were full of potholes and the gravel was almost nonexistent. There was no cap on our sewer. The site was not level. Laundry and bath/showers were air conditioned. Driving to the park gave you a feeling of being in the bayou wilderness. The staff was friendly. We camped at Bayou Wilderness RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Choose your site carefully if there has been a heavy rain. Our site was under about four inches of water when we checked in. Our shoes were soaked by the time we set up and leveled.

Colorado Landing, La Grange, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

The roads within the park were wide and paved. The sites were well maintained, spacious, shady, and level. There was plenty of gravel plus there was a cement pad under the picnic table with our site. The owners were very nice and helpful. The park did have restrooms and showers, but there were only two and they were inside the clubhouse. Of course this will not be a problem for travelers with facilities of their own. We were not charged for the ice which was a pleasant surprise. Each site has it's own trash can with a decorative cover. There is a huge offset barbecue unit for anyone who wants to use it. The path along the river is nice. A dozen deer grazed right outside our site each evening. We were very relaxed at this quiet, beautiful park. We camped at Colorado Landing in a Travel Trailer.

Weikel's Bakery has wonderful kolaches but don't forget the fruity shortbreads! Bistro 108 has a "pot of chocolate" desert that is the best chocolate desert I have ever tasted at a restaurant!
