Midway Campground Resort (formerly Statesville East I-40 Winston-Salem, Statesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

What a dump. Washed out roads & ruts. Muddy sites and too close. If you can avoid this place do so. We camped at Midway Campground Resort (formerly Statesville East I-40 Winston-Salem in a Motorhome.

Older park with some concrete pads. Somewhat level but broken. Very close to I-70 so noise prevalent. Ok for quick stop but not for lengthy stay. We camped at Country Gardens RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

In summer months you will need to make reservations. Park seems to always be full. I made my reservations 8 weeks in advance and there were only 4 available at that time.

Lazy Day Campground, Danville, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean campground, well landscaped and clean. You can tell the owners really care about the park. Was greeted warmly, check in easy and guided to nice long pull thru. Wifi works well and Verizon ok but not real strong. Large dog park and clean. Hard packed gravel roads and level sites. Staying here two nights on the way to Denver. Would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice gravel & level sites. Pull thru and back in sites. Very easy on/off I-57. No noticeable highway noise. Fayetteville RV Resort (formerly Fayetteville / Wade KOA), Wade, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed here several time going North & South on I95. Easy access off I95, easy entry to campground. Nice long and wide pull thru, very level and gravel. Courteous check-in and guide to site. Only downside (and not really very important) is the sewer connection old style (small opening & at very back of site) and required 30' of hose to reach. Will always choose this campground anytime in the area again. We camped at Fayetteville RV Resort (formerly Fayetteville / Wade KOA) in a Motorhome.

Creekwood Farm RV Park, Waynesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Very polite front desk employees, led to site and was exactly as requested, a long pull-through. Gravel sites with grass in between, not too close. Very quiet and clean. Bathhouse was impeccable. All as advertised. I just wish I could encounter this level of excellence in every campground. We camped at Creekwood Farm RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Take it Easy Campground, Callaway, Maryland

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Sites not occupied by long term campers, are mostly not level. Would not take reservations or assign site. Charges extra to use a credit card. No cable and absolutely no over the air reception. Only upside to this campground is the convenience to Pax River NAS. I will have to stay again, but not recommended. We camped at Take it Easy Campground in a Travel Trailer.
