San Antonio KOA, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Nice KOA park with paved roads, gravel pads, and grassy yards with brick patios. The park was easy to navigate and had decent wifi, though it took a few minutes to find a hotspot that would work. They kept popping up and then disappearing. We got 4 bars of 4G on both ATT and Verizon. We didn't use it, but the pool looked very nice. We camped at San Antonio KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is close the AT&T arena where the Spurs play. It's a great location to explore all that San Antonio has to offer. We stayed here while attending graduation weekend for Basic Training at Lackland AFB.

Abilene KOA, Abilene, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

I suspect that Abilene doesn't get a lot of rain and this park is not equipped to handle it. The roads were rutted and our site was a mud pit. Some of the sites have some gravel but ours was mostly dirt (mud). Would probably be OK when it's dry. They have cable, but you have to use their box and hook it up inside to your TV. Too much hassle for an overnight stay. Wireless was slow. We had 2 bars LTE on ATT and 4 bars 4G on Verizon. The park is next to the freeway so there was some noise, but it wasn't excessive. I would stay here again if it wasn't raining. We camped at Abilene KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Albuquerque Central KOA, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night here on our way back home. This is a nice park with paved, level sites and gravel yards. We were escorted to our site and the hosts were very friendly. Wifi was very slow. We had 2 bars LTE on ATT and 4 bars of 4G on Verizon. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Albuquerque Central KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Priest Gulch Campground & RV Park, Dolores, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the prettiest parks we have visited. The campground straddles the Dolores River and many of their sites back up to the river. Lots of trees. We were able to get a satellite signal, but it would probably be a problem in a lot if the sites. ATT had 5 bars but it was an Edge signal, comparable to 2G. Verizon was the same. Their wifi was decent. We got 3 very snowy OTA channels with our antenna. It's a great place to relax and unplug. And they offer free firewood for your campfires! We camped at Priest Gulch Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

RV Ranch at Grand Junction, Clifton, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with level, paved sites and grassy yards. Close to town and Colorado National Monument. ATT and Verizon both had 4 bars. They have cable but the networks were very snowy. I had better reception with my antenna. They have wi-fi available but you have to pay for it. You can buy a basic plan for email and web searches, or a more expensive plan for streaming. Since the cell reception was good, we passed on the wi-fi. We camped at RV Ranch at Grand Junction in a Fifth Wheel.

Salt Lake City KOA, Salt Lake City, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Large park with level, paved sites and grassy yards. Quite a few long-term folks. 1 bar on ATT and 3 on Verizon. Cable tv and decent wi-fi. Great dog park except for the fact that they run the sprinklers in the morning, which makes it unusable until it dries out. Great location to explore the area. We camped at Salt Lake City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The Meadows RV Park, Ketchum, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Great location. The pull-through sites are tight and since the RVs are parked in alternating directions, you share the small grass area between with your neighbor. Wifi was decent and ATT signal was good. Water pressure was a little low but otherwise the utilities were good. We camped at The Meadows RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

There are numerous things to do from exploring Ketchum and Sun Valley to hikes in the Sawtooth Mountains. There is a bike path very close to the RV park and it's a 3-4 mile ride into Ketchum. The path goes for miles it either direction.

Bruneau Dunes State Park, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Nice state park with access to the sand dunes. We stayed in the Broken Wheel area which had some shade and spacious sites. But that meant we had to deal with low branches. The newer section has pull-through sites which would be easier for a large RV, but they are closer together and have no shade. Very quiet with beautiful, star-filled skies at night. We camped at Bruneau Dunes State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Country Corners RV Park and Campground , Caldwell, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Pretty park with very friendly owners. Sites are close together but have a very nice grassy area between sites. It's a little tight getting around the corners with a big rig. No cable but lost of OTA channels. We would stay here again. We camped at Country Corners RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Plymouth Park COE, Plymouth, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Very pretty park with grass and shade. All spots are pull-through. If you have a big rig, watch out for the trees. Some of the electric sites are 30 amp and some are 50. I thought we had booked a 50 amp site but was mistaken. So be careful when picking a site if you need 50 amps. While there is not water access in the park, the day use area has a nice shady beach and is pretty close to the RV park. My main complaint was the bugs, which could be a seasonal issue. We were swarmed by gnats and biting flies and in the morning, there were spider webs everywhere. We camped at Plymouth Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Wenatchee River County Park, Monitor, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park next to the river. Lots of grass and trees. Sites are spacious. If you can get into one of the loops, the sites are pie-shaped which means there's a lot of room between RVs. The only negative was the train tracks across the river, though the nearest crossing was a little past the park so the whistle wasn't too bad and there wasn't a lot of train traffic at night. Great location to explore the area. We camped at Wenatchee River County Park in a Fifth Wheel.

North Spokane RV Campground, Spokane, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

Though there are few trees near the sites, the park is very nice with paved streets, concrete pads with patios, and nice grassy areas between the sites. Others mentioned the long list of rules. Between that and some comments made while checking in, the park seem less than welcoming at check-in. Also, I don't care for their cancellation policy. We made reservations well in advance and paid a deposit. If we had cancelled, no matter how far in advance, they would not have refunded our deposit. Instead, they keep it and give you a credit toward a future stay within the next 12 months. Not something I've seen before. They have a nice off-leash dog area, though they water at night and it's a bit swampy in the mornings. We camped at North Spokane RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Birdland Bay RV Resort, Thompson Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park with spacious sites. We were in the upper loop and the road was paved with gravel sites. The lower loop had gravel roads. There were lots of trees, though we were able to get satellite, with beautiful grassy areas between sites. The hosts were extremely nice and escorted us to our site. We couldn't get the wifi, but our ATT signal was good. The only negative was the train noise. Others have said that they didn't hear it at night, but my husband watched the clock one night and a train went by about every hour and a half throughout the night. We could actually see the train from our site and there is a crossing close by so we were treated to the whistle repeatedly. Sometimes, the train would even cause our unit to shake as it went by. We stayed there for 3 nights and were pretty tired when we left. It might be better in the lower loop because it's farther from the tracks and the hill may block some of the noise. We camped at Birdland Bay RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Jim & Mary's RV Park, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Cute park with gravel sites and grassy yards. Sites are spacious with lots of trees and flower gardens. Cable available and satellite reception works in some of the sites. Unfortunately, we were here when there were a lot of nearby forest fires and the valley was filled with smoke. Otherwise, it would have been a perfect stay. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sunrise Campground, Bozeman, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Older park with gravel sites. The front of the park had some shade and grass but the area we were in was almost all gravel. It wasn't packed down in the yard area so chairs sink in as soon as you sit down. They did allow washing of RVs and the owners are extremely nice. They park neighboring units in opposite directions and we were so close to one of our neighbors that we could look into each other's bedrooms. As mentioned in other reviews, there is a lot of noise from the road and the trains. My husband had trouble sleeping so we would probably not stay here again. We camped at Sunrise Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
