This place looks run down but is perfect for an overnight stop. It has good 50 amp electric and long pull throughs and is very quiet. The staff is friendly and will escort you to your site and explain the hookups. I would have rated it higher if it wasn't for the appearance. I would stop here again.

The new big rig sites were full and the pull-thru we were assigned was just marginal. We had to be very, very careful to avoid another coach getting into the site, and then we had to stop in the middle and trim a tree. We had to look out for trees as we exited the site in the morning. We were over 60' feet long and when we made the reservation, we told the friendly gal at the desk we did not want to take off the tow vehicle. Just another reminder that we should ALWAYS investigate the site before forking over our money.

We return to this park every winter for at least a week. Many amenities for winter residents. Spotty internet service if that's important to you and perhaps there is a watering ban because the grounds were very dry.

Level gravel sites and didn't need to unhook the toad. Easy access from I-10. Good for an overnight stop.

Access road from the interstate is a little rough and the road into the resort is dusty. However, the sites are level and the owner is helpful. This park was nice for an overnight stop.

Long pull through site, but not laid out very well. I could not level the coach in the first site and had to move. The utilities were poorly located. The pull-through sites were obviously not designed by an RV'er. However, the park was quiet and road noise was minimal. The roads were wide with plenty of room to maneuver a 41 foot coach and toad. The dog walk was clean and fenced.

Large, level pull-thrus for our motor home and tow vehicle - no problem. We made a reservation but it did not appear necessary. Good stop for an overnighter if you can sleep through the trains. Dogs are allowed but the designated dog walk is full of stickers. Dogs appear to be an after-thought at many RV parks, in our opinion.

Ideal park for the overnighter. Easy in - easy out. Friendly staff helps get you to your site. I'm glad we made a reservation early in the day; the place was packed. Cable and internet service was satisfactory. If there were other amenities, we didn't use them. However, as with many parks, the dog walk area was full of stickers.

There are a lot of permanent residents here and a few run down rv's but it was fine for an overnight stay.

This is a nice clean campground with easy access from the freeway. The sites are level and the grounds are attractively landscaped. There is a lot of traffic noise during the day but fairly quiet at night. I would stay here again.

The spaces were tight and parking a 40+ft. coach was a challenge. The front desk staff were very friendly and the owner was extremely helpful with local information. The noise from 101 was minimal and the park was quiet at night. I would stay here again.

This is the best park we have visited in 15 years on the road. It is clean, beautiful and the people are very friendly. We will be back again and again.

This is a park in the middle of wine country but it is way too cramped and overpriced. We were less than two feet from the coach behind us and too close to the adjacent coach to deploy our awning. On the plus side the desk people were friendly and the resort was quiet in the evening. WiFi and cable was included but $67 before discount, that's way too much for a dirt parking spot.

This is a beautiful park and would be wonderful in the winter but when the temperatures are in the 120's it's difficult to appreciate. However, the staff were very friendly and the facilities were clean and attractive. We plan on staying there again, when its cooler. Considering the park was almost empty I found the cost to be rather high.

This is one of the nicest parks we have stayed in 15 years of RV'ing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The lady who works the front desk is a treasure. Santee Lakes is a model for municipal resorts. Cell phone coverage is sporadic but that's not the fault of the campground. Free wifi in the new section is excellent. Pets are welcome and the weather in July is perfect. We'll be back.
