Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very tightly run ship! Extremely clean, great security and wonderful, attentive service. Pet owners might find the rules a bit stringent as we initially thought, but after being here in the heat and the potential for smells, we get it! The distance from the strip is perfect...close, but far enough away. Interior roads are a bit confusing at first and could use some signage. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Sam's World Casino is within walking distance and runs a shuttle to the strip several times a day. Also, Horseman's Park/Dog Fancier's Dog Park with 4 huge fenced areas is about 1.5 miles away.

Greer's Pine Shadows, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park in the Ponderosa pines with excellent access to grocery stores, gas, other shopping as well as commutes to downtown Flagstaff and Sedona. Very pleasant and helpful management. We were able to get a site at the last minute and stayed for several days. Great access to trails. After traveling throughout the SW heat for several days prior, we were happy to be at the 6900' elevation and cool weather. It even snowed one night. We camped at Greer's Pine Shadows in a Fifth Wheel.

Desert Trails RV Park (40+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Huge, nice park with tons of amenities, most of which we didn't use. The park was mostly empty during our stay, but were told it is full during the winter months. As previous reviewers have said, it is a bit far from town, but worth it for the location to the national park and the openness. Staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. We camped at Desert Trails RV Park (40+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Hofbrau RV Park, Round Mountain, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Clean, basic park about 9 miles south of Marble Falls with mostly full time tidy residents. Nice, personal welcome from park manager who helped with accessing site and offering a step-down electrical connector for use as the site was a 50amp and our trailer uses 30amp. Neighbors were friendly and engaging as well which seemed to be the overall vibe here. There were neither a pet area or paths to walk a dog, so it required driving into Marble Falls for a park. As we were simply looking for a place to pause for a few days while I had foot surgery, it met our needs and was pleasant. We camped at Hofbrau RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Baker Creek Campground - NPS, Baker, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This is a National Park that was well worth the drive off Hwy 50. Beautiful natural alpine setting with lots of space between sites, each with fire ring/cooking grate, clean picnic table and lots of dead wood around to burn (this is allowed). The sites do require some levelers and patience and you may want to have a passenger move a few branches so that your RV isn't scratched when driving through the campground...BUT the setting and trails are extraordinary. The May wildflowers where in full bloom and the weather and temperature were pretty perfect. There were several wild turkeys walking around during daylight hours and a fairly high flow picturesque stream that ran through the entire area. The Visitor Center was very helpful in directing us to the areas that most likely to have sites open. We will definitely be back...hopefully we can make it to the top at Wheeler campground at 13,000 ft. next time when it isn't still in snow. We camped at Baker Creek Campground - NPS in a Travel Trailer.

Durango North / Riverside KOA, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Best park we've stayed at so far. Staff was exceedingly warm and friendly, maintenance of all facilities was impeccable. Beautiful setting that was like being at summer camp as a kid: ice cream stand, outdoor movie deck, indoor community area for cards/games, super nice store, clean 24 hour laundry, FAST wifi. Wish the areas around the sites were completely gravel as the dirt/mud was messy. Silly $5.00 one time pet fee. We camped at Durango North / Riverside KOA in a Travel Trailer.

12 miles from downtown Durango. 10 minute walk to short, but beautiful river path that is great for the pup to play in the water.
