Lumberton/I-95 KOA Campground, Lumberton, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We came in from route 74 and had to get on I-95 only to find that we should have been on alt 74. Directions need to be provided on web site. Campsite is gravel and level but for large rigs (MH’s 40 feet and larger) we were directed to park in two sites. Campground needs some general outside cleaning. Staff is very nice but should upgrade to a computer system. He had our reservation mixed with two others and tried to put us in a small site. We camped at Lumberton/I-95 KOA Campground in a Motorhome.

Lake Myers RV Resort, Mocksville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We unhooked and did a drive thru in our tow and glad we did. The roads are narrow and in need of repair. Tree limbs hang low and will catch all RV's regardless of height. The restrooms need cleaning and work. Most of the sites are small, the full timers have taken all the "good" sites, and visitors have the left overs. We could not get our 40 foot motor home in and out. We did not stay. We camped at Lake Myers RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails / Carolina Landing, Fair Play, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

Park is following the trend of other 1000 trails campgrounds - no upkeep. The sites are not level and its hard to level your RV. The few sites we were told to select from are on the site of a very steep hill. Looks like everything has been put away for the winter. Very disappointing. We camped at Thousand Trails / Carolina Landing in a Motorhome.

Forest Lake RV Park & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails), Advance, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We are in a 40' motor home and have been here since Monday. Being TT members we have stayed here several times. This time we have found the park rundown. There was never anyone at the gate, (we came in and out at different times) only saw one worker, and he was mowing at 7:30 AM, he didn't do a good job of that either. The sites for short term guests are not level, rutted and grown up with weeds. However the long term permanent sites are beautiful. I know this is off season but the park should look it's best at all times. We are here for a family emergency. We camped at Forest Lake RV Park & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

Treasure Island RV Park, Welch, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed here a few times in the past. At checkin you get passes from office for laundry and restrooms. Both laundry and restrooms were very clean. Down side they just repaved the parking lost with hot tar and gravel. Small stones are picked u[p by your shoes and carried inside. So hot the tar is melting. We camped at Treasure Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Prairie Island Campground, Winona, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

A place to park if you can find a site. Most sites are taken by full time residents. Grass needs mowing and a general fixup. Young man in charge was very helpful and showed me a map with the sites to choose. Because of the price would stay here again. We camped at Prairie Island Campground in a Motorhome.

Tower Campground, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Much construction going on in the park to add additional sites. Construction should go on for the rest of the year. New pads made from gravel, ours was just done the day we arrived. New restrooms/showers with enlarged laundry. If entering the park from the interstate you must pass the park, on the left, and go to the next intersection to make a "U" turn and come back, there is a road divider between the lanes. We camped at Tower Campground in a Motorhome.

Starvation State Park (Mountain Vew Campground), Duchesne, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice asphalt drive throughout the park with level asphalt pads. Park advertised 50 amp, pedestals have the openings for 30/50 but 50 amp side only carries 30 amp. The host is very nice and tried to correct the power problem with no success. The rangers stay in their office and do not patrol the park. Dogs wondering all over the park with the owners not picking up after them. Leash law is not enforced. Overall a nice park that needs some management attention. Would stay again. We camped at Starvation State Park (Mountain Vew Campground) in a Motorhome.

Western Hills Campground, Rawlins, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Large gravel parking lot. Many seasonal or squatters in one section while overnight section was empty when we arrived. A few stray dogs wondering the park. The pet areas are nothing more than fenced sand areas, no grass. Would stay again. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Motorhome.

Canyon Gateway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

I would give this RV park a 10 except for the entrance. The park needs to do some drive way work, the motorhome rocked from side to side as we crossed the entrance. Other than that it's an ideal place to stay. We will stay again. We camped at Canyon Gateway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Red Canyon RV Park and Campground, Panguitch, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

As to the previous post, this is a park close to the entrance to Red Rock Canyon and Bryce Canyon. Nice little park that is not as expensive as the parks in or closer to Bryce. There is an outside laundry that has one washer/dryer unit. If in the area we will stay here. We camped at Red Canyon RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Sun Valley RV Resort (formerly Root 66 RV Park), Sun Valley, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a one night stop with nothing available for a family. There is one or two pull through sites that are good for large rigs with four pull throughs available for smaller units. There is one large back in site. The laundry room is really great and clean. There are some buildings that look like they are ready for demolition and are not used. Park is up for sale by owner. Owners/workers are very nice and helpful. The price is a PA price. We camped at Sun Valley RV Resort (formerly Root 66 RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Flatrock COE, Coleman, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Park only has one side open but there is plenty of space available and all are circular or pull through. Sites are flat and gravel. Watch out for the stickers that can get in a pet's feet. Lake is still very low with all lake activities closed and will remain closed until the water is higher. Staff is wonderful. Take all food items you are going to need, the closest is in Brownwood, 30 miles away. The store in Coleman closed. We camped at Flatrock COE in a Motorhome.

Camelot Village RV & Mobile Home Park, Lubbock, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Agree with previous entries, difficult to get in and out in a 40' MH. The pet walk area was where ever we could walk the dog and people did not pick up after their dogs. Might be a good place for a smaller unit but not a large MH. Staff was friendly. We camped at Camelot Village RV & Mobile Home Park in a Motorhome.

Treasure Lake RV Resort, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We used RPI and they gave us the choice of parking in one section of Phase 2 or one section of 4. Phase 2 is beautiful, but there were no sites available with 50 amp that would hold a 40 foot motor home. We ended up in 4 with sites that are on the side of a hill. We could not find a level site and the motor home would not level the entire time we were there. As the others say the park is beautiful with a wonderful staff. We camped at Treasure Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
