Camp Chautauqua, Stow, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

I would not stay here again. Very tight getting to our sight for the night which was close to entry gate. Low hanging branches leading to sight pad. For this reason I asked if I could go into the area on the exit side, which they did allow. Don't even think about driving your coach down towards the office area which is close to waterfront, low branches and tight turns will get you. I asked office to allow me to exit park back thru the entry gate when it was time to leave and they had all kinds of excuses why I had to wait for the owner to arrive to do this. After waiting for 2 hours for someone to show up and help us, we took matters into our on hands and left. Do not expect any help at this park. I would not go back to this park. Park is also an eye sore with full time tenants there with apparently no rules to follow for site cleanliness. We camped at Camp Chautauqua in a Motorhome.

Adirondack Camping Village, Lake George, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

The only reason I'm not giving a 10 for the park is because the pads were packed sand, instead of gravel or asphalt. We caught a little rain and the sand attached to everything. Brought it into the coach, water hose connection, sewer hose, electric cable, what a mess. The park would rate a 10 in my books if the pads were gravel. And there was no wifi at my site, which was #125. Other than that the park is great. The owner and his son did trim some tree branches for me so that I could get to my site and they were very helpful to see that I had some wood pads for the jacks for leveling. Pads are established 12 yrs as per the owner and I only sunk down about an inch....no biggie. We camped at Adirondack Camping Village in a Motorhome.

Atlantic Oaks Campground, Eastham, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $64.00
Overall Rating:

The park had limited big rig access, (I'm talking about 40 plus feet) but they did manage to squeeze us in there for a couple of nights. We did have full hookup with 50 amp and cable tv. Didn't use the wifi so I can't say anything about it. Staff was very nice and helpful. We would stay here again. We camped at Atlantic Oaks Campground in a Motorhome.

Maple Park Campground & RV Park (formerly Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park , East Wareham, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $61.00
Overall Rating:

Just a warning......this park is "NOT" big rig friendly. I know they advertise that it is but it is not. Very nice upgraded wide dirt/gravel entry into the park, but when you get to the bridge where you have to take a left towards the office there is a tree that poses a problem, (and it's a bigger problem when you exit) then there are low hanging electric cables that will come in contact with your roof and equipment on your roof. Camp employees always will tell you that there will be no problem and that they have had bigger rigs in here than yours, but trust me you will be upset when you try to get into the park. We did not stay because we could not get up the hill past the office, so we left. But $61 was what they were going to charge us. We camped at Maple Park Campground & RV Park (formerly Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Sunset Point RV Trailer Park, Lubec, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The park is big rig friendly. Wide open, waterfront with no trees to scratch your rig. Awesome views and a great staff to make you feel right at home. The park offers free use of their lobster pots and propane so that you can cook your own lobster or clams. A really nice place. We will come again. The only reason I was not giving a 10 rating is because the sites do not provide sewer. Water and 50 amp was what I had. There is a dump station on the way out. We camped at Sunset Point RV Trailer Park in a Motorhome.

Seaview Campground, Cottages and Motel, Eastport, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Sorry to say that I could not get onto a level lot. If so, I would have stayed a couple more days, but as it turned out the park was full because of the holiday week and I was out of luck. All of the choice sites were taken and I was basically in an overflow area with a grass and soft base site, but it did have full hookup with sewer. Anyways, the park is big rig friendly and the staff was great. I would stay here again. We camped at Seaview Campground, Cottages and Motel in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Park is big rig friendly with no low tree limbs to scratch your rig. Interior roads are paved. Site pads are gravel. 30 amp with water and sewer. Nice campground right on the water and walking distance of town. Can't believe no one told us about this town and campground. We just happened to go check it out one day and no regrets. Great place to stay. We camped at Kiwanis Oceanfront Camping in a Motorhome.

Headquarters Campground (Parks Canada), Fundy National Park, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Cleanliness of campground is what caught my eye. Also the staff was very helpful in cutting tree limbs that were coming in contact with motorhomes. The road leading into the campground to the rv sites was in need of trimming and all I had to do was ask for them to cut the limbs back and it was done. Very nice. Big rig friendly, with 30 and 50 amp, sewer and water. We camped at Headquarters Campground (Parks Canada) in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. The park is big rig friendly with no tree limbs to scratch your rig. Gravel roads and site pads. We had a 50 amp site with full hookup. Lake beach area in rear of park was really nice. From our location in the park we had no wifi. Staff was very friendly and helpful and assisted us in a time of need. We would stay here again. Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park, Niagara Falls, Ontario

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

The park is big rig friendly, no low tree limbs to scratch your rig. I've been in a couple of Yogi Bear parks in the past and if making a comparison, this one would need a little work to bring it up to the others standards. It does have everything that you need. Laundry room, showers, 30 and 50 amp service, sewer, wifi and things for kids to do. Gravel and grass pads and a small concrete patio which seemed to never be edged or blown off with a leaf blower. Gravel roads through the park. They do have a shuttle that runs to the Falls and the staff were friendly. If I had to, I would stay here again. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

I know this website says do not include the tax when telling of the daily rate, but with the tax it was $55.20 a day. The park is very simple and very close to town. Walking distance actually. The park is big rig friendly with no trees to scratch your rig and it has gravel pads and interior road. We would stay here again..... Brudenell River Provincial Park, Georgetown, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is big rig friendly. Wide open with no low hanging branches if you request not to park in the trees. We did ask to be in the trees and had no problem with limbs or branches. There is a wide open area just past the check-in office that has a view of the lake. Real nice place, we would come and stay again. Lots to see and do in the area and the staff was very helpful with activities in the area. Also, a golf course is right next door. Gravel pads and driveway, 30 and 50 amp with sewer. We camped at Brudenell River Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

Swan Bay Resort, Alexandria Bay, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $67.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is big rig friendly. We did get a Good Sam discount, the place is very clean and has a great view. The sites are gravel and concrete. Wide open with no low hanging branches. Gravel pads, concrete and asphalt driveway, 30 and 50 amp with sewer.

Only thing that I was disappointed about with the park was the fact that the office person answering the phone and checking us in (the manager) was not up front about an additional charge for electricity. Even during checking into the park nothing was said about electricity was extra. Really nice place, I just felt that it should be said upon arrival that there is a up front $10 a day charge for electricity. We camped at Swan Bay Resort in a Motorhome.
