Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Mammoth Cave, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here while visiting Mammoth Cave. Staff was very helpful as we were a late arrival on Thursday night. Sites were long enough for our 30' trailer and crew cab truck. I would recommend a pull through if you have a longer rig. Sewer and electric were placed well on site we had. Staff seemed very friendly and camp-store/lodge was stocked well considering how early in season it was. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Mammoth Cave in a Travel Trailer.

Grand Haven Resort (formerly Grand Haven Campground), Grand Haven, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2005 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed there in 04 or 05. Park was very clean and well kept. Programs for the kids were very nice. Close to go-cart track and put-put golf. We tried to make reservations last summer but found staff to be less than friendly. Reservation policy (as explained on the phone) requires 2 week notice to cancel but since we were trying to reserve less than 10 days out, there was no chance to cancel. In addition they required 2 nights paid at time of reservation so our $180 for 2 sites/2 nights was gone no matter what the weather or other factors might impact our visit. Decided to just spend our money at another campground. We camped at Grand Haven Resort (formerly Grand Haven Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Oak Shores Campground, Decatur, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

My family camped here many years ago when I was a child. Though it would be nice to go back. Camped here in 2005 and it was OK but not the most friendly. Tried to make a reservation in 2006 (last summer) and was even looking at their web while making the phone call. Staff person insisted that site we had been in the year before (and was requesting again) was seasonal only and was NEVER available any other way. They ended up trying to give me a lesson in which way was North and South (remember I was looking at their site map while talking to them) I finally got so frustrated we decided to camp at another facility. Maybe they are OK. But we won't go back. We camped at Oak Shores Campground in a Travel Trailer.
