Overall Rating:

Will definitely come back here. We were just passing through for 1 night but found there is a lot to do in the area. Particularly interested in the rails to trails bike trail. RV park was very well maintained. Spots were great. We camped at Susanville RV Park in a Motorhome.

Moon Mountain RV Resort, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

As noted in other reviews, the sites are very narrow. We stayed in a 40 ft RV with 4 slides and could only get 3 out of 4 out without hitting a bush or tree. Other sites were as narrow, but had fewer trees. The park has mostly long term residents and is impeccably maintained. Our site did not have a picnic table nor was their room for one. It is close to the freeway but since it is in a hollow, freeway noise was not a bother. Utilities were fine. Didn't use the Internet as Verizon worked fine. We got satellite and Campground cable tv worked. My only complaint about the service is that they wanted to be paid in full at the time of the reservation. We camped at Moon Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Do the Rogue River jetboat dinner time tour! It was awesome!! We also ate at the Laughing Crab downtown and it was great.

Rio Bend RV & Golf Resort, El Centro, California

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Office closes at 4 during the spring and summer. They reserve a row of pull throughs for anyone arriving after 4. Those pull throughs are big rig friendly but will likely require that you unhook your tow vehicle. Our 40 ft plus towed rubicon did not fit. The provided cable tv did not work. We had to dig the cable out of the dirt and it was not functional. If you love your satellite TV, park towards the back of the site to avoid interference with the palm trees lining one side of all the spots in this row. Ambience of this park is better than any in the area. Landscaping and RV spots are well maintained. No picnic tables or fire rings. We camped at Rio Bend RV & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Willcox / Cochise, AZ KOA (formerly Magic Circle RV Park), Willcox, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here twice. This place is impeccably maintained. Owner is very friendly and helpful. FHUs were well located and worked fine. Dish satellite worked fine. The cable TV stations provided by the campground were snowy. We will stay again, hopefully with enough time to explore the national monument close by. We camped at Willcox / Cochise, AZ KOA (formerly Magic Circle RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Hilltop RV Park, Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Tried to call this park to inquire about availability. Ultimately after many tries, I left a voice mail which was never returned after several hours. Upon check in, I was told that maybe service had been interrupted due to a storm and she wasn't sure when the owner would get around to getting it fixed. Sites are impeccably clean. They aren't huge sites but our pull through was more than adequate for our 40 ft motorhome with slides plus towed Jeep. Our site also included a paved patio with picnic table. Park is all dirt and I suspect it could be pretty dusty in a wind. Directions o. Web site were perfect and we had no problem getting to or leaving the park. There is a 10% discount for cash. This park, and all others in the area, are filled with pipeline and energy workers. Having stayed in other parks in this area, we like this one the best and will stay here again. We camped at Hilltop RV Park in a Motorhome.

North Crest RV Park, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Older park. site was generously sized with concrete pad and patio and BBQ. Full hookups all worked. Dish satellite worked great but probably wouldn't in most sites due to trees. Didn't use WiFi as our Verizon worked just fine. Owner is as awesome as stated in other reviews. Right off highway so road noise is constant. If you are coming from the north on I-35, make sure you use the directions provided by "ParkMark." Easier access than GPS directions. We camped at North Crest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hagan-Stone City Park, Pleasant Garden, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely place in a beautiful setting. We stayed there while visiting in Greensboro. There is good water and power and a dump station. We were there when it rained and it was a bit muddy. When you drive into the campground, you are expected to magically find the spot you signed up for on line. Thanks goodness for other campers who gave us input. There are a lot of options for activities, including hiking and biking. We would stay there again. We stayed in a 40 ft RV with slides. For the price, it was great. We camped at Hagan-Stone City Park in a Motorhome.

Stone Mountain Park Campground, Stone Mountain, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Great place to use as a home base to see Atlanta. Very woodsy park which was a surprise that close to Atlanta. We camped in a 40 ft RV with 4 slides. Sites are generous in size. Ground was soft and we had to use wood under the jacks. We didn't use WIFI as our Verizon worked fine. Access in and out of the park was easy. We camped at Stone Mountain Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Persimmon Creek Campground, Murphy, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The owners are fabulous! They raise chickens and you can buy fresh eggs. They also have a fishing pond which we didn't use. The campground is small but very lovely. Campsites are oriented around a pond. We have stayed here twice in a 40ft RV. Sites are back in and a bit tight, but not because of closeness to your neighbor. Lots of trees. Needed to use blocks for leveling. Having said that, our 4 slide RV fit well and satellite TV worked just fine. Didn't use the WIFI as our Verizon card worked just fine. Access from the highway is good as long as you go slow. Signage is there but is pretty understated. Great place to use as a home base for exploring the area. Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Persimmon Creek Campground in a Motorhome.
