Mount Shasta City KOA, Mount Shasta, California

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We found this campground to pretty & wooded, especially for a KOA. The staff was friendly & helpful. The pool is small but nice and the city of Mt Shasta was within walking distance. The only negative was the frequent train noise but even it was tolerable. We camped at Mount Shasta City KOA in a Motorhome.

Lake Siskiyou Beach and Camp, Mount Shasta, California

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful campground. The sites are roomy and shaded in the pines. We had no problems with any bears or deer as someone else mentioned. The staff was helpful. We had some RV mechanical problems and they sent someone down to help us quickly. The lake is gorgeous with a breath-taking view of Mt Shasta. The swimming/beach area is large and very nice. They have nice cabins with a view of the lake. The beach was a short walk from our campsite but it is a big campground so depending on where your site is be prepared to do some walking to the different amenities if you don't have a car. We camped at Lake Siskiyou Beach and Camp in a Motorhome.

Collins Lake Recreation Area, Browns Valley, California

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The positives about this place are the nice lake/beach/swimming area, and the staff are nice with a well stocked store. The negatives are the campground area is very dusty, the bathrooms are port-a-potties, the RV sites are small and not too level and the only showers are at the office with was at least a quarter mile from where our site was and there were many sites farther away. We camped at Collins Lake Recreation Area in a Motorhome.
