Shenandoah Valley Campground, Mount Jackson, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Convenient off I-81, but close (400 yards) to I-81. Traffic noise is noticeable with the windows open. A newer campground located in an open field, with small trees around campsites. 50/30/20 Amp service, full hook-up. WiFi signal is strong and secure. Verizon cell service is 4 bar/4G. Cable with 25 channels. Long pull through sites suitable for large RVs. Large pool and playground. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Hemlock Campground & Cottages, Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

A heavily wooded campground, with tight roads and sharp curves. I saw a couple of Class A RVs, but not big ones. Full hook-ups, 30/20 Amp service, WiFi signal is weak and unsecured, cable with 68 TV channels. Verizon service is 3 bar/4G. Showers, laundry, small residential size pool, and playground. About 80% seasonal residents. We camped at Hemlock Campground & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

Wilderness Lake Campground & Resort, Willington, Connecticut

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

An older RV campground. Convenient off I-84 Exit 70. Pull through site was a sharp curved site that was difficult to maneuver through it because of trees and difficult to level. 30/20 Amp service with water. Utilities located on the wrong side of RV, required extra water hose. Dump station on site. No WiFi, 3 bar/4G Verizon service. No cable, didn't check OTA channels. Cash or check only. 70 to 80 percent seasonal residents. Fire pit too close to RV to use. Lake with swimming beach. We camped at Wilderness Lake Campground & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Wassamki Springs, Scarborough, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Third trip to this campground, this time a week before Labor Day. An older campground with weird campsite layouts. Campsites are jammed close together. Most (60 to 70 percent) of the campsites are seasonal. Campground is near the airport, if your windows are closed the planes flying overhead are not too bad. Full hook-up, with 20/30/50 amp service. Utilities are at the back of the campsite, which required additional water and sewer hose. Cable TV with 68 channels, that required additional cable to reach the box. WiFi is weak and not secure. Verizon cell service is 2 bar/4G. There's a pond on site with a beach and swimming area. Basketball and volleyball court. A general store is on site. Dog rabies documentation required. We camped at Wassamki Springs in a Fifth Wheel.

Hadley's Point Campground, Bar Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

An older campground that stays booked up every summer. West of Bar Harbor on Rt 3 and away from the crowds. Second trip to Hadley's and nothing has changed, no improvements noticeable. 30 Amp service, 45 PSI water, and sewer hook-up. WiFi is not secure, 4 bar/4G Verizon cell service. No cable, 8 OTA TV channels. Campground interior roads are confusing. We camped at Hadley's Point Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Kiwanis Oceanfront Camping, St. Andrews, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Campsite rate is in Canadian dollars. A very popular campground located downtown St. Andrews. The lobster dinner previously mentioned is now $16.50 (CAD), delivered to your RV. If you try to make a reservation before they open in the spring, you will get an automated email response that says don't duplicate the request. Turns out the campground never got the reservation request I made in January. They don't know why they lose some requests. Anyway 30 amp service (shared box), water (40 PSI) and sewer. Utility connections are at the back of the campsite, I need extra water and sewer hose. WiFi was not secure, and dropped out frequently. Verizon cell service was weak 2 bar reception. 5 OTA TV channels. About 50% seasonal residents. We camped at Kiwanis Oceanfront Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

Headquarters Campground (Parks Canada), Fundy National Park, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

Price is in Canadian dollars, includes campsite fee $35, reservations fee $11 and National Park entrance fee $16 for 2 adults. The majority of the sites are pull through, but the roads inside the campground are confusing. Full hook-up in a national park is very rare. 20/30 Amp electric, 45 PSI water (water has a well water or mineral taste), and sewer connection located in the middle of the site. One OTA TV channel, WiFi reception is good, but not secure. Verizon cell service is only 2 bar signal. No campfires permitted in this campsite. Ice and wood available at visitors center. We camped at Headquarters Campground (Parks Canada) in a Fifth Wheel.

Jeremys Bay Campground (Parks Canada), Kejimkujik National Park, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Price is in Canadian dollars, includes $26 campsite fee, $11 reservation and $16 Canada National Park entrance fee for 2 adults. "M" sites have 30 Amp electric, no water and no sewer. Large sewer dump site on exit, takes 6 RVs at one time. I've never seen a large dump site. No WiFi, but good Verizon cell service. Campsite was not level front to back or side to side. NP only allows their firewood in the park at $7.50 a bundle then you get the burn permit. We camped at Jeremys Bay Campground (Parks Canada) in a Fifth Wheel.

Woodhaven RV Park of Halifax, Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is in Canadian Dollars. Jammed in like sardines up against other RVs. RVs are parked back to back and side to side. No room to extend awning, barely enough room for the slides. Fire pit and picnic table right up against the RV. 30 Amp service but no circuit breaker, full hook-up, no cable with 3 OTA TV channels. Utilities are at the back of the RV, extra hose and electric cord required. The laundry is closed until further notice. Verizon cell service is 3 bar/4G. WiFi is weak, intermittent and unsecured. There's a about 50% long term residents. We camped at Woodhaven RV Park of Halifax in a Fifth Wheel.

Cheticamp Campground (Parks Canada), Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Price is in Canadian dollars includes $33 campsite and $11 reservation fee plus $16 daily admission fee for 2 adults. Full hook-up in any National Park is hard to find. WiFi but no internet access? No cable, didn't bother to look for OTA TV channels. Verizon cell service was poor 1 bar signal. Calls dropped, even texting had delayed transmission. 50/30 amp service, but the sites were short in length. Campground roads are narrow making it difficult to back into sites. We camped at Cheticamp Campground (Parks Canada) in a Fifth Wheel.

Cornwall / Charlottetown KOA, Cornwall, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Jammed up against other RVs with ancient electrical and sewer connections this RV park is showing its age. Sewer was located under a tree with a board over the sewer hole. The electric circuit breaker was difficult to find located on the next site over. Lots of activities for kids, typical KOA. WiFi, 3 OTA TV channels, no cable. Verizon cell service marginal 3 bars. Limited 50 Amp service available, I didn't see any big rigs, but the place is huge. We camped at Cornwall / Charlottetown KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Campbellton RV Camping, Campbellton, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Camping rate is in Canadian dollars for a 30 Amp pull through site. 50 Amp sites available. Full hook-up. New RV park, with gravel roads and campsites. Campsites slope down from the rear toward the river. No cable, 3 OTA TV channels (French). Good WiFi, but not secure. 4 bar 4G Verizon cell service. There's a railroad switching station right behind the RV park, good news is they don't start work until 8:00 Atlantic Time. Roads coming in and out of the RV park are confusing and the GPS took us in circles. Two bridge underpasses, stay to the river side for ample clearance. Big rig friendly. We camped at Campbellton RV Camping in a Fifth Wheel.
