Pioneer Beach Resort, Port Aransas, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

About 70 percent seasonal campers, a lot are snowbirds. Campground started emptying out the end of April. Charged for cable and washing RV. About a 0.5 mile walk from the campsite to the beach. Try to camp on the road that leads to the boardwalk. No rental golf carts allowed, but just about everyone else had one. We camped at Pioneer Beach Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Very windy (20 to 30 mph) most of the 8 days we stayed there. Guard your awning especially at night. Golf nearby but expensive ($90). Port Aransas is about 5 miles away. Buy shrimp right off boat at the marina near the town park.

The Vineyards, Grapevine, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful campground located on a lake. Kayak, bike and golf cart rental. Some shaded and others full sun about 50/50. Close to shopping, restaurants and Dallas. My only complaint is that they charge you 100 percent when you make the reservation. We camped at The Vineyards in a Fifth Wheel.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park, West Memphis, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Located on the banks of the Mississippi River just across the bridge from Memphis. Our site was located very close to the river. Other sites are further back. Huge field to exercise dogs that is kept mowed. No recreation or playground on site. Clean and free laundry. Check river levels before arriving because this campground is in a flood plain. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Two Rivers Landing RV Resort, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Nice Rv Park with 52 sites and only a few long term campers. Very clean inside and out. Campground is located close to restaurants, shopping and Dollywood. Back in and pull in sites on concrete pads. There are no recreation activities on site. The dog exercise area is very small, but there is a field across the street. We camped at Two Rivers Landing RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Most sites are back in with extensive gravel ground cover. Water and electric hook ups but no sewer. The only attraction is the Natural Tunnel which has an active train track running through it. You can walk down to the tunnel but you can't walk through it. We camped at Natural Tunnel State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Next to busy train tracks or I would give it a 9. We were right next to the tracks and the trains run all night.

Request a site further back from the tracks and you will enjoy it much more. Great friendly service. Good Wi-Fi. Cable TV. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Cincinnati South Campground, Crittenden, Kentucky

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Located between Interstate 75 and a busy railroad this campground was previously a KOA. South of Cincinnati about 20 miles. Closest attraction is the Ark. Train goes by about every hour and the traffic on the interstate is noticeable. No cable but the antenna picked up a lot of channels. We camped at Cincinnati South Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
