Bear Paw RV Park, Valdez, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Rate was for 5 adults, $5 extra over 2. Spots were gravel and tight. All showers and bathrooms were clean. Laundry was $3 each for wash and dry. Cable was good. Wi-Fi was unpredictable. Close to everything in Valdez. Nice lady during the evening for check-in. The gentleman during the day not so much. Not sure if we would stay again. We camped at Bear Paw RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tatlanika Trading Company Gift Shop and RV Park, Anderson, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Only stayed for a night. Park is quiet even though right next to the road. Two different parking areas. Sites were scattered among the trees. Some of the sites were tighter than others. Most spots were fairly level. Restrooms were clean. Didn't use the showers. Nice museum of Alaskan antique machinery. Had to pay $10 to dump, so the total should be $35. We would stop again. We camped at Tatlanika Trading Company Gift Shop and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Talkeetna Camper Park, Talkeetna, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park in Talkeetna. Spots can be tight, depending on where you park. Hosts were great. Bathrooms clean. Pay for showers but they are nice. 1/2 mile walk to downtown but plenty of run to walk on the bike trails. Noise from the railroad is minimal. We'll be back. We camped at Talkeetna Camper Park in a Motorhome.

Creekwood Inn and RV Park, Anchorage, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Based off previous reviews I was hesitant to stay here. I'm glad i did. Yes it is a small gravel campground. The sites are tight but doable. Showers, bathrooms, and laundry were clean. They had cable, didn't use it, and wifi, worked fairly well. The office staff were nice and helpful.

I wouldn't want to spend a month there, small/tight parking spots, but it felt safe and the location is not too far from everything you need while in Anchorage. We'll be back. We camped at Creekwood Inn and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Point A Park (formerly A Sweet Home Alabama Campground and RV Park), Andalusia, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

They have done a lot of work and are continuing to fix this place up. The bathrooms and showers are brand new. The electrics were all 30 amp before, but they are putting in 50 amp. Our spot had 30 amp but was fine for our needs. The grounds are clean, except for a few sand spurs. Sites were spaced nicely apart. No sewer and didn't see or try to dump so no info for that. Didn't use the cable. The new owners are great and working hard. We will be back. We camped at Point A Park (formerly A Sweet Home Alabama Campground and RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Holiday Campground, Ochlockonee Bay, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

30/50 amp full hookups. The park is old. Most of the residents are permanent. The section along the water has the best view. Most of the spots are so close you can't let awnings out and if the slides are out you can touch both campers in some. The best spot for a class A is 28. I had asked for it when I called, we were staying 10 days. They said they couldn't reserve a particular spot in case a long term rental wanted the spot. When we arrived 28 was open, I asked for it and they still said to try 2 other spots. They were too close for our rig. We ended up with 28 and was later told it and one other were for short term rentals only. No see-ums were awful. Sand spurs were everywhere, we had to pick them from our dogs paws after each walk. When we hooked up, my surge protector detected an open ground. I told them about it, was told others had used it and it was fine. I pressed and they got an electrician out and it was fixed. The shower curtains had mold on them. No soap or paper towels/dryer in the men's room. The pace, laid back, and the view from our spot were the only good things about this place. We won't be back. We camped at Holiday Campground in a Motorhome.
