East Fork COE, Wylie, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Park is not a resort. It provides basic services. Sites were fairly level but did require use of blocks under tires. Road through park had pot holes and needs repaving. Restroom near front entrance recently rebuilt and is also used as storm shelter. Made from concrete and can get very hot during day. No sewer connections but dump station outside gate. Gate closes at 10 pm. Cannot drive into park after that time. We camped at East Fork COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed at the recommendations of friends. Park was very clean, spacious pull through sites and staff was very helpful. Restrooms were clean. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Must see is the RV museum in Amarillo. Also took a limo (free) from the park to Big Tex Steak House for dinner. This is the free 72 ounce steak if you can eat it in one hour. Meal was great and the desert humongous.

Hat Creek Rv Park, Big Spring, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Park looks like large gravel parking lot with concrete pads and water, electric, and sewer hookups. There is a laundry but there are no restroom facilities at all. The park indicated that DSL was available but there is no Wi-Fi. The parking spots are tight to get into. It is definitely not worth the nightly rate and we will not return. We camped at Hat Creek Rv Park in a Fifth Wheel.
