Anderson / Muncie KOA, Anderson, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Timberline Valley RV Resort is a very well maintained RV park with friendly employees and great customer service. They even pick up your trash in the mornings if you put a bag out by the lanes. We'd have given them a "10" if it weren't for the bath and shower rooms. Small shower stalls with fair water pressure and cold water in the men's shower. One of the bathroom/shower buildings has showers that shut off about every 30 seconds. No benches in the shower stalls. The only benches are in front of the bathroom stalls - so if you are a senior and need to sit during or after a shower, you have no privacy options. And in hot temperatures, there were no fans or A/C in the shower building at the back of the park. The other one by the lake had one fan running in that one, but a park employee told us that people usually use the other one because its showers don't shut off every 30 seconds. For an otherwise great RV Park, this is a big deficiency. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again due exclusively to the shower issues. We camped at Anderson / Muncie KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Estes Park Campground at Marys Lake, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

While the Estes Park Campground at Mary's Lake is a relatively nicely kept campground with good customer service, it is very much a family campground with very tight spaces. Fine if you have kids and are looking for family friendly. Not quiet and peaceful, though. As seniors looking for peaceful evenings, we might return in a pinch: if we could get a space away from the playground area, but only if nothing else was available. Campers next to us had 10 people in their campground when stated limit was 6 persons. We camped at Estes Park Campground at Marys Lake in a Travel Trailer.

Riverfront Park Campground, Niles, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Riverfront Park Campground is well maintained and a pleasant enough place to stay. Access to the spaces was difficult to a novice travel trailer owner. Spaces are not angled for easy parking. They are straight so you have to make a 90 degree turn in a fairly tight space. No mention of this was made or help offered until we were having difficulty - unlike other RV parks we have stayed at where help was offered at check-in. However, the reason we are only giving a mediocre rating is our experience making reservations. We called months in advance to make our reservation and spoke with the owner who told us we did not need a confirmation number. We also called a month prior to our arrival date to confirm & were again told we did not need a confirmation number by the same man we spoke to previously. When we arrived at the campground, to our dismay, they had no record of our reservation, and said the full hook up sites were under construction and none were available. When we complained, they said they had one available till Monday because another camper had been delayed in arriving. This worked for us as we were departing Monday morning anyway. However, we were really put off by the poor office management practices and will not be staying here again. Reasonably quiet park, staff pleasant but completely unorganized. We camped at Riverfront Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

South Forty RV Ranch (55+ Park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Neat, clean, well run RV park. Our check-in was on Xmas Day. Paperwork and keys were left for us to pick up upon arrival. Spaces are narrow, but staff offered to help us park... even on Xmas Day eve. Obviously friendly, helpful staff. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at South Forty RV Ranch (55+ Park) in a Travel Trailer.
