North Carolina State Fairgrounds Campground, Raleigh, North Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Big rig Friendly. Easy access in and out if you call or directions. DO NOT use your GPS. Gravel roads and gravel sites. Sites were level and spacious. Very quite. We FT in our MH and we do not use the park amenities so a safe place like this fair ground works great for us. We camped at North Carolina State Fairgrounds Campground in a Motorhome.

Americamps RV Resort (formerly Richmond North / Americamps KOA), Ashland, Virginia

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Big Rig friendly. Interior roads are good but narrow. Unhook before going to your site. They will escort you to your site. Our site was a level concrete pad pull thru. The staff was great and they fed us breakfast. We camped at Americamps RV Resort (formerly Richmond North / Americamps KOA) in a Motorhome.

Fayetteville RV Resort (formerly Fayetteville / Wade KOA), Wade, North Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Big Rig friendly, easy in and out just off I-95. Large gravel sites that are level and easy to enter and exit. Good interior roads. Some road noise from the traffic on 95 but it didn't keep me awake. Staff is very friendly. We FT in our MH and do not use the amenities of the parks. We camped at Fayetteville RV Resort (formerly Fayetteville / Wade KOA) in a Motorhome.

Stony Fork Creek Campground, Wellsboro, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The park is nice with spacious sites. We stayed on a pull thru that overlooked the lake. There were several big rigs and large 5th wheel units here. We had concerns in travelling the last 8 miles to get there. Call for directions, our GPS would not take us to the location because all inbound roads are clearly marked 10 Ton limit. Our GPS is set at our weight of 15 Tons. Once you see the weight limit signs there really is no safe place to turn around. The last two mile of the entrance road is dirt and has a washboard ripple surface. We safely made the trip but at 5 mph for the last two miles. Once we arrived, everything was satisfactory. Verizon phone is very weak. We camped at Stony Fork Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to eat at Dick & Jenny's. Absolutely the BEST pork loin that we have ever eaten. And, we have eaten out all over the US. Go to Lockport and take a tour of the cave and locks. Very worth while.

Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails, Trenton, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We don't need or use any of the amenities as we are just two old people in a very large, self contained tin can. This park is big rig friendly. Very safe entrance and exit as there is a traffic light and a very wide, level access road. We were very pleased with the park and staff. Gravel sites but raked level between every stay. Stay here and take the bus into the park. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Mylan Park, Morgantown, West Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is an event center with a large parking lot. Hookups are around the perimeter of the parking lot. When we arrived there were no events and the lot was empty so we parked parallel and therefore had a pull thru. This worked for us as we have a large MH with a tow. All utilities worked fine. Very quite at night. Route 19/24 Chaplin Park Road is narrow and has NOT had the trees trimmed in a long time. We often drove in the middle road and the trees still rubbed on our coach. I am not talking about a few leaves but branches that can damage your coach. Until this is corrected, the access road is not suitable for tall Motorhomes. We camped at Mylan Park in a Motorhome.

Add-More Campground, Clarksville, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We have a 40' MH with a tow. Came in on a rainy night and paid $50. Noticed later after we had left that his published rate on his web site was $35. Verify the rate before you arrive. We did not encounter any problems with our stay. Previous posts accurately describe the park. We camped at Add-More Campground in a Motorhome.

On-Ur-Wa RV Park, Onawa, Iowa

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Great stop for Big Rigs. Easy in and out, wide sites, dual sewer hook ups. Lots of shade but all trees are trimmed very high so they did not touch our MH. Trees are properly placed so that they do not interfere with our satellite. Friendly staff. Sites are level gravel with grass between sites. Very clean and quite. Very long pull thru sites. Perfect for big rig. We camped at On-Ur-Wa RV Park in a Motorhome.

Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This RV Park was perfect for us. The roads and spaces are gravel but no dust, and the space was level. Size is large with grass areas between each site Shade trees are trimmed high so they did not touch my coach. The trees are also properly placed so that we received excellent satellite reception. Host is very friendly and helpful. The only downside is temporary as the State is doing road construction in front of the entrance. the entrance from the road is navigable even for this newbee driving a 40 ft MH. I don't rate all of the amenities because we do not use them. We are interested only in a safe quiet place to park. This fits our needs. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.
