Limon KOA, Limon, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Pulled in late at night. Had to pay extra for two kids (7 and 11). It ended up costing us $55. When we woke up and looked out we were disappointed. Run down and not as nice as what a KOA usually is.... Especially for $55. The sad thing is, it does a lot of business, so there's not a motivation for beautification. We camped at Limon KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Apgar Campground (NPS Campground), Glacier National Park, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park. Very close to Apgar Village by bike/walking trails. Apgar Village is a great place to shop, eat and view Lake McDonald. My family really enjoyed staying here. It is great for bike riding and right off of Going to the Sun Road. There are no showers, but the bathrooms are very clean. It is very difficult to get a spot, so get there in the morning. The park hosts were friendly and can tell you more about openings than the visitor centers can. The sites are not always level, but they are beautiful and somewhat private. There is a free park shuttle stop at the entrance to the campground. The shuttles are nice, but expect to wait in line at Avalanche Creek and Logan Pass to transfer along Going to the Sun. This was one of our favorite parks on a 5 week road trip. We camped at Apgar Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

San-Suz-Ed RV Park, West Glacier, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Very odd layout, but clean. Our spot did not have sewer, only water and electric. It was in the back of a field that we had to drive across to get to our site. The site was extremely unlevel. It was not worth the $44 we paid. No Good Sam discount. Pretty setting with shade. Showers were clean but VERY small. We camped at San-Suz-Ed RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Black Hills Whispering Pines, Silver City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The owners are very nice people. The owner noticed my husband working on our trailer and came over to check on him. He loaned him supplies needed to help fix the problem. The park is clean and quiet. My kids liked riding their biked through the park. The pool was small but very clean. Full hook-ups and level spots. Nice grass but no trees at spots. It wasn't a problem though, because the weather is beautiful here. About 30 minutes from Mt. Rushmore. I recommend this place. We camped at Black Hills Whispering Pines in a Travel Trailer.

Enders State Recreation Area, Enders, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The park was beautiful. There are great views of the lake. There is only electric or primitive camping. There is one source of fresh water in the park. It is located by the dump station. Our site was fairly level, but we stayed in a more defined spot at the top of the park. We had a great view with shade trees, but we were not right on the lake. The lower spots were not as level, but they were beautiful. The park host was very friendly. We camped at Enders State Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.
