Carol's Campsite and RV Park, Sudbury, Ontario

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

After six weeks travelling across western Canada and the US this was our final and by far worst campground. The lady at reception was rude and questioned why I needed a pull-thru site for our 38' fifth wheel. She told me they save them for "big rigs". We did end up with a pull thru but there was so much water on the ground around it you couldn't sit outside. If we had been able to sit out, we would have been a foot from the neighbor's sewer. The site was narrow, slanted and uneven. Roads were tight with potholes and not maintained. Our friends got to their site and found it occupied. They had to walk back to the office where the reception lady was more concerned about it not being her fault than getting them another site. She wanted them to walk back and let her know which sites were vacant. We camped at Carol's Campsite and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Living Forest Oceanside RV Park and Campground, Nanaimo, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are flat, clean and spacious. We had a lovely pull-thru site but could have easily backed our unit into one of the water-front sites. Beautiful walking trails. They even have a little snack bar with a patio overlooking the water. We camped at Living Forest Oceanside RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Cape Lazo RV & Campground, Comox, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Love this campground. It's convenient to beaches, sites are spacious and the staff are warm and welcoming. I would come back here and would like to stay longer.
Our truck didn't quite fit into our space but we were directed to a place behind our site. We camped at Cape Lazo RV & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Burnaby Cariboo RV Park and Campground, Burnaby, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are far too small. Our unit barely fit into the space they provided and apparently it's one of the better ones to get into. The slides were up against the hedge on one side and when you walked out the trailer door you were practically standing on the concrete table (which couldn't be moved). The concrete trailer slab was great until we realized how slanted it was!!! To level it, the wheels on one side were off the ground.

Staff was not very friendly and we were directed the wrong way around to most easily back into our site.

The space for parking the tow vehicle was on the opposite side of the concrete picnic table leaving very little room to sit outside. We camped at Burnaby Cariboo RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Immaculate campground. Lots of walking and cycling trails but not much else to do. Very much "city camping". We camped at St. Albert Kinsmen RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Meadowlark Campground & RV Park, Brandon, Manitoba

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Office staff was extremely pleasant. The initial physical impression was not positive but once we got our site we were extremely pleased. There are permanent residents here as well and no campfires are permitted.

The campground should do some work on their "curb appeal". We camped at Meadowlark Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Jasper Gates Resort and RV Park, Hinton, Alberta

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The roads are tight for a large rig, but manageable. Sites were large enough but there was a terrible smell from the sewer hookup beside our site. We camped at Jasper Gates Resort and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wild Rose RV Park, Hope, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this park. The sites are large enough to handle our rig. The lower branches of the many beautiful trees have been thoughtfully trimmed to maintain the beauty while allowing trailers to maneuvre with the park. The laundry room was spotless. We camped at Wild Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Alpine RV Resort, Lindsay, Ontario

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This park is extremely clean. While we were here the staff was very busy getting everything ready for the upcoming high season. However, we booked a pull-through site which turned out to be right inside the entrance and was on such a slope that our levelling system was at the maximum. The ground was very uneven as well. The road to pull through onto was extremely tight and we were barely able to make it around the loop. There are very few sites with a few of the lake and there weren't many facilities to use. The pool is very clean and well maintained and there is a nice walking trail directly behind the park. Other than that, there really isn't much to do. We camped at Alpine RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
