10 Acres Campground & RV Park, Addison, Vermont

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We have been camping here for 3-4 years and have to say, the owners take pride in keeping their campground meticulously kept. Bathrooms are clean and the owners are seen mowing lawns and improving the campground constantly. The pool is the cleanest we've ever used. But they enforce no splashing/diving and other rules strictly for the enjoyment and protection of all their campers. We've never had a problem. One issue that is more problematic (I could be wrong) is the lower level where one would pitch a tent (which is where we camp) due to the swampy area behind seems to have a lot of mosquitoes. One site is very hilly and not recommended but the others are well manicured and kept. The seasonal campers are very friendly and their prices are reasonable. We camped at 10 Acres Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Vergennes great place to go for the day and our grandchildren love Crown Point, where we can bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the fort. Great biking routes.

Gentile's Campground, Plymouth, Connecticut

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

I've never posted a negative review ever but I would be remiss if I didn't post that my husband and I would not recommend or return to this place. The memories of camping here are not positive. The topography is NOT travel trailer friendly AT ALL. I have a teardrop trailer and had difficulty navigating to our site. The owner are very nice. Many of the campers appeared to be intoxicated and seemed irresponsible. The views are of dumpy dilapidated trailers -- ownership has not taken pride in it's upkeep. Lawns have knee high grass, debris from former seasonals still there, platform "patios" with missing and rotten boarding. I would not suggest this place even at $10/night. We paid $45/night. We will never choose a camping site without checking reviews first. We camped at Gentile's Campground in a Travel Trailer.
