Lakeshore Park Campground, Saint Ignace, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Owner was friendly and full of lots of suggestions for what we should see and had lots of brochures with information available. Had site facing the Mackinac bridge and could watch the large ships come under the bridge. Very nice. Site was somewhat level and had picnic table. Showers and bathrooms were OK, could use some updating. Location was great for seeing sights in the area. We had swarming back flies (they call them midgies) for our entire stay so we could not even go outside as they were swarming. Nothing deterred them at all. St. Ignace is great place to drive around and see the sites. Was close to locks as well for day trip. Had bad breaker upon arrival but the maintenance person fixed it right on the spot without having us move to another site. We camped at Lakeshore Park Campground in a Motorhome.

St. Ignace is a great place to shop and see the beautiful scenery around the lake. Mackinac bridge and island are available via ferry and a shuttle will pick you up at the park and bring you back for no charge.

Kalbus' Country Harbor, Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Sites were unlevel and gravel. Owner made it plain there were no discounts honored. We stayed in pull-through, as we did not want to disconnect tow. Our area had porta potties that were in horrible shape and the smell was intolerable. Electric hookups were in very bad shape and tripped our breakers when we plugged in. Stayed here one night as we were on the road. Beautiful scenery right on the water, but had quite a bit of high grass. This is more of fishing/camping site. Showers and main building were in OK shape. We camped at Kalbus' Country Harbor in a Motorhome.

Petoskey RV Resort, Bay Harbor, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here three nights and loved this resort! The staff was very helpful and accessible. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. It is very close to all of the sights to see in nearby cities. The showers and laundry were immaculate. It is gated and a very safe and beautiful place to stay. At the sites, there is enough space to park your vehicle and your MH. They do make you disconnect your towed at the entrance. We would definitely stay here again! We camped at Petoskey RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Petoskey itself is full of shops and very scenic places along the water. Also Petoskey State Park, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, Tunnel of Trees are very easy short drives from this resort.
