One of the nicest military campgrounds we've stayed at. Concrete level pads, nice spacing. quiet area of the base. Lots of people stay for months at a time so definitely reserve in advance. We camped at Pelican Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

Shenandoah Crossing Resort, Gordonsville, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Even without the Coast to Coast discount this was an amazing resort. Everything worked and was well maintained, sites were concrete, fairly level, and had patio furniture and gas grill. Even good wifi! The grounds were beautiful for hiking and you are close to Charlottesville and all the historical sites. Will definitely stay again. We camped at Shenandoah Crossing Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice park but nothing special. Good wifi. No cable and satellite is site dependent; was able to get with my portable by running wire across the street to open area. No reservations. We camped at Hanscom AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Camden Hills RV Resort, Rockport, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Park was okay; site level and everything worked. In trees and the cable is very limited, satellite not possible in most sites. Quiet. Friendly hosts. If I stay in the area again I will try to get in Camden HIlls State Park. Sites are spacious and some are satellite friendly. We camped at Camden Hills RV Resort in a Motorhome.

MainStay Cottages and RV Park, Winter Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

All about location and the view! Some spots are better than others depending on if you are in a motorhome or trailer. Spot 7 in a motorhome was perfect; windshield faced the bay and no neighbor to the right. Two sites use a common connection area so one side of the rv is extremely close to the other, only room to walk between. Not a big deal unless you park reverse for best view; could have your door right next to a rig.

Check their site map and if possible work site that is best for your rig. Can't beat the location and view. Quiet. We will gladly stay here again! Wonderful hosts! We camped at MainStay Cottages and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hilltop Campground, Robbinston, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park if visiting Eastport/Calais area. Quiet park with a lot of seasonal residents. Most of the sites are very clean and decorated and the people are friendly. Our site was a pull through and we had to move around a couple of times to get in a good spot to level with wheels on the ground; we saw several coaches with wheels far in the air. Wifi was hit or miss and quit most evenings. All utilities worked well and sites are good for satellite. We camped at Hilltop Campground in a Motorhome.

Take care when leaving, sort of a blind corner to the left and some traffic moves fast. It's not a busy road but just be cautious.

Very nice park for visiting Bangor area, obvious because all the RV Adventure Tour groups use it. There was also an Escapee Rally and Cedar Creek Reunion during our time...busy place! Wonderful people and good restaurant next door that delivers to your coach. Everything worked great and an ice cream social! We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lake Champagne Campground, Randolph Center, Vermont

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful location in Central Vermont. Obvious pride of ownership. We stayed two weeks and are considering spending a summer here. There are a lot of seasonal sites that are fully occupied but well kept up and the people are very friendly. Great location; very quiet and private but easy for day trips to all parts of the state. We extended our stay and had to move between two sites...no problem. Great wifi! We camped at Lake Champagne Campground in a Motorhome.

One comment about the lower sites; when you turn to your site you will be at an off-angle going downhill. If you've ever driven a tractor on a hill that's the feeling. Nothing dangerous but I discussed with several other guests and they were also concerned at first. We made it with no problems

Bass Lake Resort, Parish, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Family oriented campground in the middle of nowhere; great spot for visiting this area of New York. Facilities were nice and in good condition. Band on Saturday night was very good. Downisde was the road and sites. Entry road was in poor condition so take it slow as you enter. The left turn into our area of the camp had a large pothole which really rocked us around and made stuff fall in the coach. Site was grass covered with gravel and it was in poor condition. The area has had a very wet spring/summer so this may not be the norm, but I spoke to a couple of regulars and they said the sites have been a problem for a while. Also, it should be stated up front that C2C members will be given spots without sewer. They did have a low-cost pump out service so it wasn't a problem, but would have been nice to know. We camped at Bass Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Daisy Barn Campground, Wilson, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park if you don't want to be in the crowds of Niagara Falls. Beautiful spot on Lake Ontario but no view from our site, number 24. Parking can be a challenge if you have a big rig and are on this side of the park due to trees across from the spots. Had to jockey back and forth a few times to fit. Everything worked as advertised, wifi was good. Fireworks and music for 4th of July weekend were nice. We camped at Daisy Barn Campground in a Motorhome.

Mountain Creek Campground, Gardners, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, everything worked as advertised. Grass site by the river was W/E only but they do have a pump-out service. Pump out service twice a week. I think it was $13. Site was grass, level, and huge! Campground was very full with several groups arranging their rv's to set up party areas. I loved it and made some new friends but others may like a little more privacy and quiet. Once the weekend was over things really calmed down.

One warning: the bridge over the creek scared most of us with large motorhomes. There are no signs about weight rating and I almost wasn't going to cross it. I spoke to two other families in large class A's and they said the same thing. Would help if there was at the bridge advising about weight rating. Nice store, pool, and mini-golf. We camped at Mountain Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

The Ridge Campground, Mount Morris, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I rarely give out 10 ratings, but I love this place! I'm in a pull-in site at the front of the park which gives me a panoramic view of the area. The hosts and other campers are very friendly and they even had a very good band here Saturday night. The pool is clean and they have a disc golf course which I haven't tried yet. Wifi and all utilities work great. Site was slightly unlevel but easily within capability of jacks. After spending the last two weeks in parks with level sites and heavy rain I have no problem with a slight incline to allow drainage...better than sitting in a lake! We camped at The Ridge Campground in a Motorhome.

Cherry Hill Park, College Park, Maryland

Great location for visiting DC. Price was very fair for the level of service provided. The free overview of the city and metro was excellent. All facilities were in great shape and the hot tub and sauna were wonderful after a long day of touring the city. Site was tight so if I visit again I would probably pop for the premium site to give the dog a bigger yard. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Motorhome.

South Bay RV Campground, South Bay, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

A tale of two parks. If you get a 50 amp spot next to the highway the road noise is unbearable! We had a 10 day stay but weren't going to stay if we couldn't move. The camp hosts were outstanding! It took some work but they got us a spot away from the highway and what a difference. It was 30 amp but that's okay with us. Nice level spots, walking trails, and friendly people. If you must sit by the highway bring your earplugs!!!

Avoid spots 76/78/80/82/84/86/88. Big rigs all night and jake brake noise; the highway is directly behind the rigs and you'll actually feel vibrations. Shellcracker Circle side is much farther from the highway and as long as you can handle 30 amp you'll be much happier. We camped at South Bay RV Campground in a Motorhome.
