Houston County Farm Center, Dothan, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

There are campsites available if you are going to an event at the Farm Center. The FHU's are a long way from the event center. The W&E sites are a short walk on a fairly level grass area. The water is on one side of the field and the electric is on the opposite side so be sure and bring extra water hose and/or electric cables. Also bring an adaptor for 50 t0 30 amp and another for 30 to 110. Great place to stay for a Farm Center event. We camped at Houston County Farm Center in a Motorhome.

Fort Tatham RV Resort, Sylva, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small campground that was recently purchased by Sun Communities. There are several permanents on two sides of the park with the transients bunched together by the entrance. The staff was very friendly and the facilities were all nice and clean. Good wifi and minimum ATT. We stayed here 4 nights. We camped at Fort Tatham RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pride RV Resort, Waynesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large park that was originally an KOA campground. Then new owners run a very clean operation. The roads and sites are gravel and/or grass. It borders the highway and there is a little noise at night. There is a lovely park area by a creek. The staff has a lot of activities for the campers. There is a pool, camp store, playground for kids and large activity room. The sites are a little tight but we didn't feel cramped. We camped here for a week. We camped at Pride RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Boss's RV Park, Wrens, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a funky little park that was probably built back in the 70's. There new owners are very helpful and the facilities were very clean. The wifi was excellent. Sites are grass and need minimum leveling. We were on the way to NC and this park was just off the country road. Just an overnight stop for us. We camped at Boss's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Blue Spring State Park, Orange City, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Site was very private, sandy and had a slope to the side. Separate dump station. Very private area with a short walk to the springs and St Johns River area where, in the winter you can see lots of manatees, alligators and beautiful birds. Bath facilities were new and very nice. Local TV was good as was iPhone service.

This park is on the St Johns River and is very spacious. They have a food concession, boat tours and rentals. In the winter the park is crowded with everyone coming to see the manatees. Also a favorite spot for the snow birds. We camped at Blue Spring State Park in a Motorhome.

Great little park on Lake Monroe. Back in spacious and level sites with water and 30 amp. One clean out for the park. Has boat ramp on St. Johns River. Good TV and phone service. Sites are dirt and leaves. Just a short drive to Sanford which has a beautiful historic downtown. We camped at Lake Monroe County Park in a Motorhome.

Big Lagoon State Park, Pensacola, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This is a state park so you have a lot of services that are available in RV Resorts. The site was level, we didn't even put our levelers down. We stayed two nights, came in late, visited the Naval Air Museum and left early the next morning so didn't do a lot of exploring in the park. On top of that it was rainy both days. We would stay here again. We camped at Big Lagoon State Park in a Motorhome.

Falling Waters State Park, Chipley, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Rainy day so we didn't walk to the falls. This is a very nice State park. Our only problem was our site which was a pull thru that was wrapped around some trees. The hump in the middle wouldn't let us use our levelers so we had to drive around and set up with electric and water on the wrong side. This was just an overnight stop and we would come back again. We camped at Falling Waters State Park in a Motorhome.

Pandion Ridge Luxury RV Resort, Orange Beach, Alabama

Overall Rating:

We stayed 4 nights for the World Food Championships at the Wharf. The park is new and they were having their Grand Opening the week after we left. The park was relatively empty and the staff upgrade our site - thank you very much. This is one of the nicest parks we've stayed in and will be back next year. We camped at Pandion Ridge Luxury RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Bahia Honda State Park, Big Pine Key, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Great location in the lower Keys. 10 miles north to Marathon and 37 miles south to Key West. Also Bus Stop outside the main gate on US 1 to go either way. Large level campsites with privacy vegetation between sites. Water connection is at the street by the site number so bring plenty of water hose. Lots to do but the weather was rainy and windy so not much going on. We camped at Bahia Honda State Park in a Motorhome.

Big Oak RV Park, Tallahassee, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Be careful if they give you site L1! They knew that it had a terrible slope but didn't tell us. They knew that there was no patio area and we couldn't put our slide out but they didn't tell us. They knew that it was next to a road and dumpster and there would be traffic in the night and morning. All this for $40 bucks - What a rip off! We couldn't get out of their fast enough. Next time we'll dry camp at Cracker Barrel. We did give them one star because we had 30A for our A/C. If you're considering this campground, go somewhere else. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Motorhome.
