Pumpkin Patch RV Resort, Hermon, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park with exceptionally friendly staff. The lots were large and open, with tall, neatly trimmed trees. It's in a nice area. We traveled to Acadia National Park from here daily with ease. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Highbury Gardens RV Park, Kentville, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in this park for a month, Aug-Sept 2016, while visiting family nearby. It is a nice, lovely wooded, quiet park, with easy access to the HWY 101 and Rte 1.

We have a 35ft. Motorhome with tow dolly and had plenty of room to navigate the roads and our lot. The lots are nice sized with picnic tables and firepits. There is a decent playground and pool.

The owner is very nice and easy going. He keeps the park and the pool very clean.

The few permanent residents all have respectable, well maintained homes.

There is a very nice, short, deeply wooded, nature trail following a creek with small falls over mossy boulders which we enjoyed very much.

The laundry room has 2 washers and dryers, $2/$1.5o for 45 mins., only offering cold water wash. This is the only thing we didn't like about the park. We highly recommend this nice park and will stay again when in the area. We camped at Highbury Gardens RV Park in a Motorhome.

Loch Lomond RV Park, Amherst, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park. IT is quiet and spacious. It was easy access to the highway. It has nice navigatable roads and spacious lots. Our lot had a concrete patio and a new picnic table. Everything was well maintained, trimmed, and clean. The restrooms were immaculate, each one having it's own shower. The showers cost $1 for 10 mins. The laundry room is very nice too. The costs were $2 ea wash and dry CAD. They had a nice pool and game room.

It's misleading though to brag about being on the lake, when there is only one small set of steps leading to a small dock that go to the lake. It is a very limited access and view of the lake.

The only other drawback is that they do not have a keypad enry and you have to wait for the office person to see you and open the gate.

We stayed 2 nights in a 35' motorehome, with tow dolly.

We plan to stop here again on our way back through. We highly recommend this park. We camped at Loch Lomond RV Park in a Motorhome.

Quebec City KOA, Saint Nicolas, Quebec

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The park is excellent for families. Which brings me to the reason we will not stay here again. This park is so large in number of spaces and people. It is full of tent campers, campers, cabins and RVs. There are so many people with so many children everywhere. It was as crowded as an amusement park, with kids running free in the streets, running out in front of the cars, playing in the roads, everywhere. The pool was packed full with kids.

Other reasons we will not return here:

The hot tub was cold, they had it at 95 degrees. It didn't heat up at all.

There is only one pool, again very small and full of kids, and way up front. The park is very deep and narrow, it is a long walk to the front. We do long hikes and don't want to walk a half mile or more to a cold spa.

There is only one small laundry area, again way up front, for all of these campers. And it was quite pricey (sign said $2.50/3.50 and .$25 for 5 min dryer). We didn't use it. It was full too.

Pros:

The showers and restrooms were very clean, large and contemporary style. They were nice. There was a large one in the back section too. (It would have been nice to have a laundry area here as well.)

We stayed in two different sites, because they were full with reservations. The sites were fine. They were long enough for our 35 ft with a tow dolly and vehicle.

The roads were wide enough for one unit and were not one-way streets. We didn't run into any problems, but could have. The front section of the park is uphill from the long narrow back section. The road is a steep hill and curve, crowded with tent campers, to the back section. We camped at Quebec City KOA in a Motorhome.

Montreal West KOA, Coteau-du-Lac, Quebec

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed four nights in our 34' rig with tow dolly and vehicle. The Managers are the nicest people. The park was very clean. There are trains that go by, but they didn't bother us. It's a great park for children. There are a lot of permanent residents, but they are all upscale units and settings. We camped at Montreal West KOA in a Motorhome.

Campark Resorts, Niagara Falls, Ontario

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

We thought the park was fine and would stay again. We dont have children, but it is great for kids. Nice amenities including a clean pool, a small but hot clean spa, dining hall, snack bar, playground, country store and laundry. The lots are plenty long. The park has a bus stop for very easy transport to the Falls. The staff was very nice.

Drawbacks:
The front 3 rows are permanent residents, the area is cluttered and a tad tight. The rest of the roads are wide.
The wifi wouldn't open at all. We didn't inform them though, we just used our mobile data.
The yards are small with dry, brittle, brown grass. We camped at Campark Resorts in a Motorhome.

We tried out 2 local diners and enjoyed both: Phyl's and the Space Ship Cafe, both East on Lundy. The Adventure Pass gets you 48 hours on the WEGO bus in addition to 4 activites, a great value.

Nice park with mature trees that are trimmed well. Large pull through lots. Clean showers and restrooms. Clean pool, but small and usually crowded and there is no hot tub. Laundry was more expensive than the other places we've been, $2.50/1.50. Wifi was fine. The staff is vey nice. Location was very convenient. We will stay here again when in the area. Hall County Park, Grand Island, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for 2 nights in this absolutley lovely park. We will return if ever in the area. Large spacious lots, mature trees, walking trail, fitness stations, wild turkeys and other wildlife, all contributed to a very nice stay. Restrooms were acceptable. 3 stalls and 2 shower stalls with curtain. I didn't use, my husband said they were fine. No alcohol is allowed (outdoors, I guess, maybe just a guidleine to prevent excessive) so there were no parties going on. It was very quiet. You really feel like you are miles from a city, but everything is very close. We camped at Hall County Park in a Motorhome.

Crossroads RV Park, Mount Pleasant, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 4 nights while traveling across country. Very nice and clean with a nice staff. All of the lots are large, level gravel pull-throughs. Clean laundry room and spacious individual large restrooms with shower. Easy to get in and out, easy access to highway. Very open and sunny, little shade. Picnic table. Not a campground or a resort, more of a nice stay over. No pool or spa. Nice children's playground horseshoe pit. The only drawback was very poor wifi. People are not supposed to stream, but they must have been because we had a lot of problems with it. Ended up having to use our mobile data. We camped at Crossroads RV Park in a Motorhome.

Prospector Hotel and Casino (RV Park CLOSED), Ely, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Not a resort. An RV parking lot with full hookups, beside a nice clean hotel. All amenities are inside the hotel. They have a very nice hot, spacious and clean pool and spa. Good restaurant, restrooms inside, no showers. Great value. We drove around and checked other parks out. We will only stay here, unless we wilderness camp. 7 pull throughs, circle around with back-ins, chat driveway and minimal grass and trees. First come, first serve. People come and go every day, it is a great stop over. We camped at Prospector Hotel and Casino (RV Park CLOSED) in a Motorhome.
