Oceanside Beachfront RV Resort, Coos Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed with our rv group, been coming here for several years & have always enjoyed. Several park models to rent along with rv and tent sites. Very short walk to beach, a few of the tent sites are literally on the beach. Resort recently bought out by Sun RV Communities and are in hiring process. New staff in office not yet totally knowledgeable, felt like I knew more about the park than they did! Gravel sites with grass, fire ring & picnic table. Sites fairly close together but between sites 55 and 67 is a large grassy area great for outdoor gatherings, and the yurt is wonderful for indoor gatherings with a tv, fridge, microwave & sink. Wi-fi worked great, cable a little snowy, good water pressure. We camped at Oceanside Beachfront RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Enjoy the beach! Grab a bite at the crab shack at resort entrance. Not far from town of Charleston, fresh seafood, cute shops, harbor for fishing/crabbing and a Marine Life Center. Check out Shore Acres State Park for great views and hiking and the new rum distillery on Seven Devils Rd.

Blue Ox RV Park, Albany, Oregon

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped for just one night. About 150 sites and a good 3/4 of them are full-timers. A bit tight navigating through and sites are close but level. Wifi hotspot available only by the rec room so guests on one side of the park don't have internet. 50 amp sites do not have cable. Staff very friendly and efficient, a bag of microwave popcorn is given at check-in. Restrooms and showers in pool house very nice, pool is a little old but useable. We camped at Blue Ox RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Whiskey Flats RV Park, Hawthorne, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Good overnight spot. Site was gravel and level with a picnic table but narrow and tight. You're in the desert so expect some wind and sun. Close to grocery shopping, gas & restaurants. Would stay again. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Clark County Shooting Complex, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Hidden gem of an rv park with a great view of the Las Vegas area, cannot beat the price! It's in North Las Vegas off the 215 up on a hill at the shooting range, about a 1/2 hour from the gambling areas. Most shooting is done in the daylight so the nights are calm and enjoyable, can't beat the view. Level and extra large gravel sites. Restaurant, gift shop and if you want to learn to shoot, this is the place. Employees in the front office, the restaurant & the shooting facility were fabulous. Only place for us to stay in Vegas. We camped at Clark County Shooting Complex in a Travel Trailer.

All shopping needs (Costco, Walmart, Winco, etc) and gas/diesel about 4 miles down the hill at the exit off the freeway. Suggest checking availability as it is a shooting range and there are big shoots held there.

Sparks Marina RV Park, Sparks, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Just stayed one night while traveling through. Sites are all level, table at each site with protected space on it for your bar-b-que. Utilities in good spot. Sites are a little tight and it was full when we arrived so had to maneuver around a bit. Good wifi, small pool & hot tub, nice rec room. Good spot for checking out Sparks & Reno, close to shopping. Would stay again. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fish Lake Resort , Eagle Point, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful setting on Fish Lake. This campground has a separate full hook up area (back in sites) for RVs down by the lake and an upper area in the woods that has power & water along with tent only sites. Interior roads are very tight for bigger rigs and parking for tow vehicles is in the middle of rv sites making it difficult to back in or pull out at times without having to ask someone to move their vehicle. You are extremely close to your neighbor. Trees & brush need attention in sites. We camped at Fish Lake Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Pull in, unplug and enjoy the lake. Rent a fishing boat or pontoon and cast a line in. There's walking trails in the woods for exercise. Lodge has meals but a little on the pricey side. Use the fire rings and enjoy.

Elks Lodge #1073, Redding, California

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Back-in sites around perimeter of lodge parking lot. Very nice lodge facilities with a lot of activity.... billiard tables, swimming pool, pickleball, bocce ball, busy bar, dinners. Great safe spot in Redding away from the interstate. We camped at Elks Lodge #1073 in a Motorhome.

Santa Nella RV Park, Santa Nella, California

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Older park but clean, good overnight stop. Spaces very level but barely fit most rv's, saw a lot that were diagonal in the site, most rigs unhooked or let the tow hang out a little. Hook-ups mostly in the middle of the site. Cable & wifi worked great. Be prepared to hear traffic from Hwy 152, lots of sirens. We camped at Santa Nella RV Park in a Motorhome.

Adelanto RV Park , Adelanto, California

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Good one night stop park right off Hwy 395. Office staff very friendly and efficient, able to get a pull through for the night without unhooking tow. Big gravel lot but sites spacious enough, all utilities worked just fine. Park appears to have a lot of permanent residents but it was quiet and clean. Would stop again. We camped at Adelanto RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bend-Sunriver RV Campground - Thousand Trails, Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Good camground with a lot of activities: tennis, pickleball, disc frisbee, kids pool, adult pool & hot tub, river sports, spacious campsites. Good cell service, wifi available at lodge & office. TLC needed as a lot of downed trees & brush that should be cleared for fire prevention; 5 mph due to very dusty roads that could be oiled or graveled, no names on interior roads. We camped at Bend-Sunriver RV Campground - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Hideaway RV Campground, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Very small rv park (15 sites maybe on an eighth of a corner city lot) in quiet part of town, but close in to everything. New managers are making improvements (landscaping, new gravel, picnic tables). Sites are gravel, basic and tight but maneuverable. Happy with our site, #5. Quite level, next to & backed up against fence with windbreak, enough space for our slides and to park tow vehicle. Couple of free drink tokens at Buffalo Bar given at check-in. Very nice staff. Great place to base out of for visiting Yellowstone. Good wi-fi & 12 cable channels. Would stay again. We camped at Hideaway RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Obviously Yellowstone Park is the draw to stay here. Town has 2 supermarkets, several good restaurants. We tried Buckaroo Bills which is a novel dining experience, booths are covered chuck wagon; and the Buffalo Bar is decorated with wildlife heads and a huge buffalo; both have good food at reasonable prices.
