J & H RV Park (55 + Park), Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is a mixture of weekly rate and daily. Nice park close to Flagstaff. Neat as a pin!! We were parked up front so there was a little road noise but nothing extreme. Easy to maneuver our rig through the park. We asked for a satellite friendly spot and were assigned #2 and satellite hooked up no problem. Verizon signal was good. Hooked up to the WiFi our first night via our Nano station and then it never worked again. Could hook up directly no problem....weird. Good park. Lot's to do in Flagstaff! We camped at J & H RV Park (55 + Park) in a Motorhome.

Rusty's RV Ranch, Rodeo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

This is a GREAT park. The owner and her husband are awesome as are all the folks that work and live there. We are birders and this is a great area for birding. Quick trip to Portal and on into the National Forest. RV Sites are spacious. Easy to maneuver our 45' MH through the park. Good Verizon signal and satellite hookup was no problem. Wifi was more than adequate. Park caters to birders and astronomers so it's dark after sunset. Bring a red flashlight if you have one otherwise they're available to buy at the checkin. Was a little windy on occasion while we were there. Closed slides one time. With wind come a lot of dust. It's SW New Mexico after all. There was a potluck dinner both Fridays while we were there that were very enjoyable if you like that kind of stuff!! We will go back and go back often! Rate above is based on the weekly rate. Electrical was in addition but reasonable. Worked out to another $4.00 p/day for us and we didn't skimp on the AC. We camped at Rusty's RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Midland RV Campground, Midland, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed here a couple of times as we transited Texas. Nothing really special but easy to get to and pull through sites. Satellite hooks up no problem and strong Verizon signal. Easy in and out. GPS wasn't happy with the arrival. Coming westbound you hit the end of the exit and go straight following the little camper signs. We'll stop again on our next pass. We camped at Midland RV Campground in a Motorhome.

TA Travel Center , Greenwood, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Great spot for an overnight. We had a pull-through site near the back. Pretty quiet. You're right next door to the Travel Center so you do get some backup alarms from the trucks early in the morning. WiFi is a pay system. Satellite hooked up no problem. Verizon signal was strong. Easy in and out. Certainly met our needs for an overnight without unhooking. We camped at TA Travel Center in a Motorhome.

Wendy Oaks RV Park, Florence, Mississippi

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night at Wendy's as we transited west. Small park but very tidy. Pretty little lake with lots of fish! Good satellite hookup and solid Verizon signal. Was easy to get in and out with our 45' motorhome and did not have to disconnect the car. Owner operated. We enjoyed our evening and will stay again. We camped at Wendy Oaks RV Park in a Motorhome.

Woolly Hollow State Park, Greenbrier, Arkansas

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park. Our third year there in the Super Bowl timeframe! Easy in and out. No wifi, cable, and Verizon signal is really borderline. Our satellite did actually hookup but I expect that was the exception and even less likely in the summertime and full leaves. Sites are asphalt and fairly level. No blocking required but had to live with a little nose up. Great walking. Good place to unwind. We're going back. We camped at Woolly Hollow State Park in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear Jellystone Park, Bremen, Georgia

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped for a night as we passed through. Rate above includes $6.95 per person. There are only two of us and didn't see what that charge actually bought us. Our site was not level but I didn't see any others that would fit a 45' coach with tow that were any better. Never got the coach level. Had rained a lot prior to our arrival leaving a lot of mud. The turn out of the space as I departed was very tight and confirmed our coach has functional posi-traction. Was good enough for overnight. Wifi was adequate. Didn't try the cable. Lots of channels over the air. Verizon signal strong. We camped at Yogi Bear Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Memphis KOA , Marion, Arkansas

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Pretty expensive for what was there in my opinion. Good park though. We had a pull through facing the owners home. Far enough off the road to really negate the road noise. Easy in and out. Good satellite hookup and strong Verizon signal. Wifi was adequate and cable was good. Lot of OTA channels. We camped at Memphis KOA in a Motorhome.

Spring Hill Mobile Home Park, Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Our second time at this park. It's a mobile home park that is slowly moving toward RV only. Very convenient to Chapel Hill and the world famous University of North Carolina. The center for higher education! Park has several long pull throughs. We were in #32 in our 45ft motorhome and had no problems getting in or out which included snow covered roads on the way in. Basically parked in the woods so no satellite hookup but good verizon signal. Wifi was adequate. Cable did not work at our site. The Camp Hosts are awesome and we look forward to seeing them again next year. We camped at Spring Hill Mobile Home Park in a Motorhome.

Mark Twain Landing, Monroe City, Missouri

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Nice place. Appears to be one of those parks that sells the space but did not confirm. Beautiful park to walk through. Very quiet while we were there but I'm betting it's moving in the summer! Satellite hooked up and good Verizon. Restaurant on the grounds but we did not try. Great stop and chose Mark Twain Landing based on RV Park Reviews and glad we did. We camped at Mark Twain Landing in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It's an easy trip to Hannibal for all things Mark Twain. We devoted a day to Hannibal and covered all the Mark Twain associated tour buildings including the museum. Drove up to Lovers leap, you have to, right? Toured the Rockcliffe Mansion that was surprising worth the effort.

Robert Newlon Airpark RV Park, Huntington, West Virginia

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here one night as we traveled west to east. Not a lot to pick from in this part of the country for a 45' MH. This one was easy to get to but very muddy when we got there. Clearly they are working on it but was pretty cut up. My coach would not connect to 50A in site 4. I kept getting the dreaded neutral not equal to ground error. I tested with my multimeter but couldn't find the problem. A guy came out with his multimeter and when I asked if he was an electrician he said he was the electrician for this park. At any rate, they had just pulled wires for these 50 amps. My coach has hooked up no problem to 50A everywhere else ever since. Be VERY careful. 30Amp hooked up fine which was ok as we were only there for one night. Which was our last night! We camped at Robert Newlon Airpark RV Park in a Motorhome.

Double J Campground and RV Park, Chatham, Illinois

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful little park. Easy on and off the big road and superb staff. We stayed for five nights to tour all things Lincoln. Easy to navigate through the park. I just followed the golf cart! Our site overlooked a huge farm field and was perfect. Great walking around the park for our dogs. Satellite hooked up and good Verizon signal. VERY convenient to Springfield and the tourist sites. AOK Campground and RV Park, Saint Joseph, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Older park. We were in what we considered to be the best site! Overlooked the lake/pond and on the end of the row so no one out our passenger side. VERY close on the driver's side. the kind of sites you pull in opposite to the unit next to you. Satellite hooked up from site 23 and Verizon signal was good. We were visiting family who lived a couple of miles away. A number of permanent looking units on one side with nightly opposite. Good park and we would use again!
