Lower Lake Campground, Kananaskis, Alberta

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Front country campground in a provincial park with amazing views and hiking trails. Trails are both rustic and wheelchair accessible. Campground is quiet, the sites are large, and the views are amazing. Very close to Kananaskis Lake. We camped at Lower Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

One of our favorite places to stay and we will be back (for the 6th time). The citizens of Iowa are some of the nicest people we have met! Long level sites, very good power, wonderful walking/biking trails! We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Forestville/Mystery Cave State Park, Preston, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We had a wonderful time here. Could have been less rain and himidity, but that's the way it goes. The roads are great for bike riding and running. The trails to the river are a little overgrown and not disability supportive. The host was terrific!

The raccoons are quite used to people and all garbarge and food needs to be put away at night. We camped at Forestville/Mystery Cave State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Island Lake Provincial Recreation Area, Coleman, Alberta

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a stopover point. It is very close to the highway and yet very little road noise. The trees do protect from the wind (important here!). There is a nice lake close by an some are fishing. There is firewood delivered a few times a day.

If you need a place to get off the highway that is quiet and you are self contained, this is a good spot. We camped at Island Lake Provincial Recreation Area in a Fifth Wheel.

Kokanee Creek Provincial Park, Balfour, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We were at the Sandspit campground. The sites are large, incredibly level, and well protected from the winds. The walking within the campground is great and the connected trails are great. The dump is $5.00 even if you camp there. We will be back; hopefully during harvest! We camped at Kokanee Creek Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.
