Country Acres Campground, Gordonville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed with our Good Sam club membership for a couple of days. The registration was a breeze and the service was exemplary. The roads were gravel but kept up well. The pool was nice but not heated. The site was off-level by two inches. We camped at Country Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Recommend Sight and Sound Theatre located in nearby Lancaster - about 16 minutes away in heavy traffic. A nice flea market and super IGA nearby. Also, a wonderful ice cream store - Lapps.

The Depot Travel Park, West Cape May, New Jersey

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for 3 nights in a quiet, almost level spot. There were two nice playgrounds - one for younger and one for older children. Watch out for the 'fun' teacup. Nice laundry area - four washers, four dryers. No pool and beach was at least a mile from our campsite. Neighbors were nice and not too loud. Campfire wood was available for purchase, but fire rings were absent - just make your fire on the ground wherever, and clean up when you leave. We camped at The Depot Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Wear good walking shoes if you plan to go to the beach and do not have a tow vehicle.

Recommend The Ugly Mug for a delicious lobster roll and Ocean Burger! Although rather expensive. Also, get your free fudge sample across the way.

Colonial Woods Family Camping Resort, Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Very accommodating for late arrival. Very noisy and active at 11 PM on a Saturday night - people (teens, children, adults) walking all over the park - no curfew? The site was not level, the water source is a bunch of hoses laying all around on the ground from one site to another with taps available here and there. The pool(s) were nice - large heated pool, two kiddie pools with sprinklers and water buckets; whirlpool not very warm and not very bubbly. Lots of trees and rocks. A nice covered bridge walkway from store to lakefront, then to pool area. Mini-golf course is a hazard yet they still charge for use: broken and sagging boards, rusty nails sticking out, uneven ground and play areas. Not impressed. We camped at Colonial Woods Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Little Red Barn Campground, Quakertown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Check in was friendly, pool was OK. Site was level, but electricity at pole was reverse-polarity (and fried my surge protector). When we complained, the maintenance guy said it was our issue, not theirs - they had never had a complaint of this magnitude before. They offered to move us to another spot but that proved to be open-neutral at the pole. We requested a refund of our money and departed quickly - were 'shooed' out by the maintenance crew. Not impressed. We camped at Little Red Barn Campground in a Motorhome.

Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA, Fredericksburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This was an overnight stay while on the road to a further destination. The registration was a breeze and the park was QUIET. The site was a level, pull-thru for our 32 foot MH. Highly recommend this park if you want a quiet, wooded, relaxing campout. We camped at Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA in a Motorhome.
