Cherry Hill Park, College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

Check in was awesome. We were given lots of information and maps. However that is where the awesome stopped. The sites are very close. The streets are very narrow and can be difficult to navigate when everyone is home since the only place to park your car or truck is in front of your rig. The bath house was adequate. Every morning the showers had so much mud in them it was as if they had not been cleaned in quite awhile, but they are closed at certain times so they must clean them once a day.. Maybe they should be cleaned more often. They changed the gate code one day and when we came back from the Metro we did not know that and when we buzzed for help we were told "I'll buzz you through this one time but you have to come to the office for the code". I don't know how someone is to know the code has been changed. Also the cable never worked and the wifi is sketchy at best. All in all we were very disappointed in this park for the amount of money they charge. The redeeming factor is that the Metro is very close. However, I doubt we would stay here again. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Motorhome.

Sleepy Hollow Lake Campground, Akron, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is OK for an overnight but I would not want to stay more than that. Check in was easy and getting to our spot was easy. The showers and bathrooms were clean but needing repairs. There seemed to be a lot of permanent RV. They have great play area for kids and a petting zoo. I might stay here again overnight but not for long term. It was a little difficult to get there from the interstate, but it is beautiful country. We camped at Sleepy Hollow Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Circle B Campground, Angola, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

What can I say about this place. First, we were greeted like we were old friends. Check in was fast and easy and directions to our site were simple. We experienced a problem with the kitchen sink in our rig and went to the office to ask if there was a handyman type guy there that could help us. They sent us to one of the pavilions where one of their maintenance guys was cleaning up a fish fry. He went with us to our rig, saw the problem and went to their shed to get what he thought would solve the problem. However, it didn't and he apologized profusely. The help there is wonderful, the park is enormous, and everything is very clean. This is a great destination since the park backs up to a large lake. We camped at Circle B Campground in a Motorhome.

Interstate RV Park, Davenport, Iowa

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Easy off the freeway and a very clean, shady, quiet RV park. The check-in was easy and directions were extremely easy to follow. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. In fact, we experienced a problem with our RV and they were very helpful with their recommendations. I would easily stay there either as a overnighter or as a destination. We camped at Interstate RV Park in a Motorhome.

Double Nickel Campground, Waco, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Previously you checked in at the bar. New owners have taken over and closed the bar and have renovated the check-in area. The owners are very helpful and pleasant. We were escorted to our site. It is shady and sits on a hill so the rains don't create flooding problems. They pick up your trash for you each day. We would go there as a destination now even though we don't know what is nearby. We camped at Double Nickel Campground in a Motorhome.

Cabela's RV Park & Campground, Sidney, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

There's nothing special about Cabela's RV Park except it is easy to get to, lots of food choices within walking distance, it is clean, has WIFI and cable, and level sites. The check in was easy and since we had a reservation we didn't have a problem with getting a site. I would recommend this place for a quick overnight to anyone. We camped at Cabela's RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Rock Springs / Green River KOA, Rock Springs, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This appears to be a new park as the trees are just sticks in the ground. They will grow but for now there is no shade. They have a building with handicap restrooms/showers. The dog run is awesome and any dog would love to play there. The pool looked very nice. Check in was easy and we were escorted to our spot. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay while visiting Rock Springs area or for an overnight. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

Angel Lake RV Park, Wells, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The only reason we didn't give this park a 10 is due to the fact that it is so new the trees aren't very big. The check in was super easy and we were escorted to our site. We had a pull through and it was very level - we didn't unhook our toad. The bathrooms were clean and the showers excellent. We would absolutely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone wanting an overnight place or are headed to Angel Lake Rec area. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pony Express RV Resort, North Salt Lake, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stay here each time we are in the Salt Lake City area. The sites are paved, level, and adequately spaced. The restrooms and showers are the best we have seen. The only reason not to give this a 10 rating is the Wi-Fi. It was spotty at best. We love the fact it is easy access to downtown SLC and any areas to the west and south. We will always stay here when in the area. We camped at Pony Express RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

The rate is a little pricey, but this IS Yellowstone, one of the most popular and beautiful spots in this country. This is one of the best parks we have been in. The staff was helpful and pleasant, the sites are level and adequately spaced. It is easy access for the largest rigs. Wi-Fi was free for 2 hours a day or could be purchased for $4/day. We would return to this park on future visits. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch, Big Timber, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

OK, where do I start? First, the managers and office staff. They are all so pleasant, efficient, and extremely accommodating. The grounds are unbelievably well maintained and pretty. The riverside sites are grass and very wide or a little more narrow and gravel in the side-by-side section. It is awesome to back up to the river and have that view from the back window of the motorhome. The sites are very level. The area is rural so there is an abundance of wildlife that venture into the park in the evenings and early morning. The WiFi worked fine. There is no cable TV so the only channels we got were CBS and Fox. However, we didn't find that a problem in the week we were here. It rained, hailed and was pretty cold while we were here, but the couple nice days were awesome. While here you need to drive down the road to the natural bridge falls: what a sight. We will definitely return: hopefully during better weather. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Motorhome.

Snake River RV Park & Campground, Idaho Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

A good, clean park for our overnight stay. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. The sights were mostly side-by-side but there was enough room between sites so that we didn't feel cramped. Very dog-friendly park as long as you pick up after your pet (which should be considered a given by responsible pet owners). We will absolutely stay here again. We camped at Snake River RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Mountain Shadows RV Park, Wells, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, clean park for an overnight. The pull-throughs were long enough for us to not have to unhook our car. No specified dog area, but as long as you picked up after your pet, you were free to walk anywhere. We would stay here again when going through the area. We camped at Mountain Shadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

Val Vista Village (55+ park), Mesa, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

In defense of the park, the electric problem the previous poster commented on was originally created by the local power company losing 2 transfer stations during the extreme cold weather they had in the valley at the time. Some of the park was without power for a couple days but the management provided 3 meals a day for those without electricity. They did everything they could and the power was restored after 3 days of part of the park having no power. The management should be thanked for their efforts in such a stressful time. The nice thing was the residents checked on each other and made sure the older folks were taken care of. We have come back to this park for 8 years and will continue to come back until we are physically unable. We camped at Val Vista Village (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Whip In RV Park, Big Spring, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Even though this is a small park, with close spaces, and all gravel and dirt, it is one of the best places we have stayed. The baths were cleaner than most bathrooms in private homes. It was unbelievable. When we checked in we were told how to get to our site and she would meet us there. She guided us in and explained all the hook-ups, even though we have been doing this for about 12 years. One nice thing is they provide the cable for the cable connection. There was plenty of it to reach our connection on our rig. The dog run is great, however some people still do not have the courtesy to pick up after their dogs. The laundry was inexpensive and clean. The only reason we did not give it a 10 is because there is no pool, even though that doesn't matter to us. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone being in the area. We camped at Whip In RV Park in a Motorhome.
