Green Lakes State Park Campgrounds, Fayetteville, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park with lots to see and do. Easily navigated my 40' Pusher in and out with only a few low trees. We camped in The Rolling Hills section again and got one of our favorite sites. My wife came in one night and was marvelling about all the stars she could see as we live where the artificial light at night makes it look almost starless. Very quiet park with an occasional far away train whistle to enrich the evening silence. The sites are mostly shaded with lots of grass and some well placed gravel where inconsiderate cheap carpet users have destroyed the lush grass. But, it's a state park, and cheap, so you may have to rough it a bit? We camped at Green Lakes State Park Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Another great stay at this incredibly scenic park at the foot of The Great Smoky Mts. Very close to The Appalachian Trail and The Nantahala National Forest. Lots to do and see in this area. We have been coming to this Park and area for ten years and still haven't seen it all. Hope I can come for many more, and stay here. Owner/Operators are great and we always enjoy our stay. We camped at Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

Chattanooga North / Cleveland KOA, Cleveland, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

First, the good news?? Cable excellent, water ok, sewer ok,electric great, area nicely kept. Close to I-75 and easy to get to and into and to site. Good Campground to tour Chattanooga and area. Now, the bad news?? Had to drive through mud to get to site, needs a lot of gravel?? Road noise from I-75 not noticeable, but local road goes around campground and is used 24/7 by motorcycles and loud pickup trucks?? During the week the local landfill is very noisy with machinery running?? Some dead trees threaten some campsites. Wi-fi was intermittent in super sites?? Last nite we were treated to another campers drunken air rifle practice, which was soon interrupted by the campground patrolman, thanks?? Later (12:30am) we were treated to fireworks as a large store is not far away?? Also if you think that you will be able to sleep through all of the above, get ready for the constant 24hr arrival and departure of very inconsiderate (rude) travelers who have no idea that someone may be sleeping at 3am?? Stopped to visit a friend, probably will stop elsewhere next year a little farther from I-75?? We camped at Chattanooga North / Cleveland KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a Great little Park with wonderful owners and beautiful surroundings. We have stayed here many times before and I can't wait to come back. It is a Nice Park to tour the Franklin and Lower Smokey Mountain area, with many National Parks around. The Owners are on site and are very helpful to all their Campers. We will be back. NOTE: I don't know what park the reviewer who gave a (1) was at, but I am sure it was not this one. We camped at Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

Roamers' Retreat Campground, Kinzers, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

When we first started coming to Lancaster, this was our favorite Campground. As time went on we traveled away from this area and haven't been back in some years. Upon returning, we noticed the endless views have been encroached upon by the Museum next door. The campground is still a very nice place to tour the area or just relax, although increased truck traffic on Rt 30 has made it a lot noisier. The staff was very accommodating as we changed our site a couple of times due to our long absence and poor memory. The one complaint I do have was the unannounced party being held by the owners next door to our campsites with a large crowd of guests. With little or no camper etiquette they roamed around our camp sites and had loud music (not my kind) for quite a while on Saturday night. My wife and I had planned on eating out at one of our old favorite restaurants, but we were afraid to leave with all the strangers roaming around our motorhome and the excessive noise aggitating our dogs. We may return, but will definitely ask if we will be subject to any inconveniences while paying good money to relax?? We camped at Roamers' Retreat Campground in a Motorhome.

Great place to stop over on the way north or south. It is very easy to get into and out, even with a large motorhome pulling a cargo trailer: total length of 70 foot was no problem. Would like to spend some time here and tour around. Maybe this year on the way to Florida. We will be back. We camped at Coastal Georgia RV Resort in a Motorhome.
