Jim & Mary's RV Park, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely little park with gorgeous flowers at every site. The sites were spacious, level, and private. Our only complaint was the railroad that ran nearby overnight, whose whistle could unfortunately be heard. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large, well situated, well maintained and well run campground. It is close to the Yellowstone west entrance, walking distance to town, and has multiple trails into the park. For dogs who don't do trails, there is a path around half the perimeter and several small grassy areas. The spots are tight, but, with the landscaping, there is still some privacy. It also has the nicest staff we've come across. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Motorhome.

7th Ranch RV Camp, Garryowen, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground. They have managed to create level spots on a hillside. The setting is lovely, high prairie on all sides and a 360 view from the top. The roads and spots are well maintained gravel, with sunflower plants to add decoration. There is even grass for dog walking if you don't want to use the paths through the fields. Our only complaint was the trains which are close enough to hear during the night. Still, we would definitely stay here again. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Motorhome.

Custer's Gulch RV Park, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a well-located, well-maintained, very big rig friendly campground. It is clean, quiet, and level with a nice laundry room. There are only a few pull-thru spots, which we had requested. Ours backed on and was parallel to the road and the pond. (Pond is an exaggeration, since it was almost full with reeds.) There is no shade, even though it is surrounded by forest. Our spot had no privacy, even though the spot was spacious, and had no pleasant place to sit outside. After we were here 2 days, the water turned cloudy and colored. We were told minerals leach into the well and that the water is tested monthly and is fine. (They said that in Flint MI too.) With the multitude of campgrounds in this area, we would not return here. We camped at Custer's Gulch RV Park in a Motorhome.

Siding 36 Motel and RV Park, White Lake, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is basically a large level field with easy in and out, pull thru, full hookup spots. It is right off I-90 but the noise is not noticeable. It is in the midst of hayfields and has a dirt road which runs through them. It makes for very pleasant dog walking. In other words, an excellent overnight stop. We camped at Siding 36 Motel and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rochester / Marion KOA, Rochester, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We were in a 38 foot motorhome towing. We needed help getting in and leaving. The internal roads are torturous. The spots are level but short and very close together. There are acres of grass around them though. The highway is close but not noticeably noisy. This is NOT big rig friendly. We camped at Rochester / Marion KOA in a Motorhome.

River Park Campground, Menominee, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small, manicured county park with level spots, good wifi, located right on the river. However, it is also located directly across from a sewage treatment plant, next to a railroad with trains that blast their horns at 2 AM and again at 3 AM, and down the block from an industrial complex that seems to run day and night. If that weren't enough, their pretty green grass is littered with duck and goose droppings. We won't be stopping here again. We camped at River Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Sterling State Park, Monroe, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The park borders Lake Erie, so it is a beautiful setting. The pads are paved and very long but very basic. There is no screening between spots, but they are far enough apart that it still feels private. However, there are a lot of beach day use people in addition to campers. Dogs are allowed on leash on the paved walkway, but not on the beach. There is a park day use fee of $15 in addition to the campground fee, even if you arrive late in the day. We camped at Sterling State Park in a Motorhome.

Kentucky Horse Park Campground, Lexington, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here as an overnight spot. We have a 38 foot RV and could not get level in the full hookup spot we were assigned. It was supposed to be one of the more level spots in the campground. The office assisted us and eventually we found a spot in the primitive electric area with 30 amp service. If you have a larger motor home, this is NOT the campground for you. That said, there are lovely fields for walking dogs and it is well located and visually appealing. We camped at Kentucky Horse Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Up the Creek RV Camp, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived after the office had closed. All the information about our site was waiting for us. The level gravel site was easy to pull into and drained well. It was very quiet and had ample grass for dog walking. The dog run however was so full of trees it was not usable. We stayed for 3 nights and would definitely return. We camped at Up the Creek RV Camp in a Motorhome.
