Sequoyah State Park & Lodge (formerly Western Hills Guest Ranch), Wagoner, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Clean and fairly new state park area. We were there for a company picnic and stayed a total of 3 nights and enjoyed despite the rain. Nice golf course and kind of the resort feel. Cell service with ATT was good. We camped at Sequoyah State Park & Lodge (formerly Western Hills Guest Ranch) in a Motorhome.

Minneapolis Northwest KOA, Rogers, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Nice KOA not our normal kind of place but was pleasantly surprised. Very clean and super friendly staff. They have a little dog run that was a nice addition. The hwy was close but the noise really wasn't an issue. We camped at Minneapolis Northwest KOA in a Motorhome.

Destiny Dallas RV Resort, Denton, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park located in a urban area. I seen some comments about hearing traffic noise from the highway and airport but we really didn't notice it at all and we were at the front end of the park and wasn't an issue for us. The pool was very clean and refreshing, I could see it being a little warm in the hot summer but it is a pool with plenty of sun for sunbathing and the hot tub does flow into the pool. The park is probably 85% long term but that does also say a lot for the campground. We met some of the residents and they all seemed to love the park and staff. All the sites were very well maintained and clean. They have a nice children's play area, onsite RV wash, Recreation room, Well stocked store, Propane onsite, Open grassy area for sports and recreation.

The WiFi signal was strong and easy to connect to but was a little on the slow side, but it is free and worked well for email and browsing the internet.

Cellular service with AT&T was low but still worked well for calls and text.

Check-in was fast and easy and our site was easy to get to and get parked, the site required very little to level our rig. Nice picnic table but didn't have a charcoal grill (went and bought a cheap little one at Walmart as we needed a portable one for the RV anyway).

Only real con to this park is we are used to camping near the lake or forest and was a little different for us, but we were in Denton for a UNT football game and sure beat staying at hotel by far. They have an off-leash area for dogs but there isn't a barrier between it and the service road. We camped at Destiny Dallas RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tugboats Place Happy Camper Rv Park, Huntsville, Arkansas

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

One of the best little camp sites we have ever stayed at. The owners are very friendly. The power was clean and reliable.

The food at the onsite cafe was delicious. We had dessert there a couple nights and their chicken fried steak was special.

AT&T service worked but wasn't the strongest, the park's WiFi was great. The park was nicely manicured and well kept. We will stay here again. We camped at Tugboats Place Happy Camper Rv Park in a Motorhome.

Greenleaf State Park, Braggs, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Showed up late on Thursday night and got setup in Deer Run #20. Fairly level site with very little leveling required. It is easy to see why this park has won many awards. You will have little to no AT&T cell service (No complaints here). Very clean park; the only complaint I had was the young park care takers started mowing about the time Friday evening when everyone was starting to sit outside. Electric and water were both very reliable. The Putt Putt golf was a good value at $3, but could use some updates. The pool looked nice, but didn't have a chance to try it out. We will stay again. We camped at Greenleaf State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Soda Steve's malts and friendly service at Fin and Feather are well worth the 12 mile drive. The Malt Shop in town had a good burgers and malts but left a little to be desired when it came to service. The marina looked very nice and was told they had very good food there, but ran out of time to check it out.
