Wagon Master RV Park, Sanger, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This review pertains to site 76. We stayed at Wagon Master RV in late September in our 43' Class A motorhome with tow. Site 76 is a pull through with water & 50amp service only, no sewer. Plenty long for our rig and tow, literally next to a barn. As far as the park overall, it would be WONDERFUL if the large entrance area and egress into the campsites was paved as this gravel area kicks up lots of dust! Many of the spaces at Wagon Master are filled with long term residents, so if park is full it seems it is because they simply don't offer that many true RV spaces. Sites are wide with plenty of room between. Clean showers, restrooms and laundry. Staff was very pleasant and we had fun watching the alpacas in the fields nextdoor to our site. We would stay here again if in the area & willing to put up with the dust. We camped at Wagon Master RV Park in a Motorhome.

Dakota Ridge RV Park, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

Yes, you can get a big rig in, but be careful. Narrow, rough roads, tiered sites along a hillside, turns are adequate, sites are mostly level NARROW concrete with gravel sides. Campsites face each other so not much "privacy". We had incense burning campers next to us! Uggh. The park truly needs an overhaul. Roads need to be smoothed & more paving added, sites need to be re-leveled. Wifi good, but knocked me off several times. Staff closed the hot tub and heated pool by Sept 12. Office does not accept any mail or packages. Dump station on-site. Expensive rates for what you get. But, good location to head into the mountains, see Golden, shopping, plenty of restaurants within 10-20 minutes. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Our site was tight for our 43' motorhome and we had to really squeeze to get our F150 truck parked in front of the coach. If we parked our Harley in front of the coach, we had to park the F150 in the parking lot at the edge of the campground. Avalanche Harley-Davidson is 1 mile away. Camping World 5 min away. Red Rocks nearby too.

Absaroka Bay RV Park, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Turns are a bit narrow, but doable. Sites are gravel and narrow for our 43' Class A motorhome. But, there is plenty of space between campers. Must park on your site which can be tight for a large rig and tow. Clean restrooms and reasonable priced laundry. Wifi steady. Watch out for lawn sprinklers which will spot your rig and tow. Lots to see and do in Cody. Museum is excellent and tic includes 2-day visits to see everything. Cute downtown shops. We camped at Absaroka Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

Perrys RV Park and Tent Campground, Red Lodge, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Paved entry, gravel interior roads & sites. We stayed at Perry's in our 43' Class A motorhome. Sites near the office are large enough for a Class A, & include water, elec. There is a dump station that is easy to pull along side. Campsites are narrow with picnic tables. There is 1 washer/1 dryer in the office. Restrooms are clean & there are some port-a-potties through the campground. The riverside sites are rustic, mostly dirt or gravel. A narrow road leads down to the riverside sites. Highway noise is not a problem. There is very little traffic after dark. Bears may enter the park, be cautious. We camped at Perrys RV Park and Tent Campground in a Motorhome.

Rushmore Shadows RV Resort, Rapid City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 2 weeks during Sturgis. Easy to navigate roads, turns, sites in our 43' motorhome. PIcnic tables & fire ring at each site. Camper store is nice. 11miles to nearest grocery, Safeway or further to Walmart. Would stay again due to easy distances to sights, monuments, area towns. We camped at Rushmore Shadows RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Helena Campground and RV Park, Helena, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017
Overall Rating:

We drove through this RV park to see an option to another local park. We would not stay here. It is really a trailer park with residents stacking whatever items they want around their site. Evidently, they don't own a lawnmower. Park is considerable disrepair. Better to stay in the Walmart parking lot! We camped at Helena Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lincoln Road RV Park, Helena, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The bad: Rates are high, but there is no real alternative in the area. There is a row of permanent residents, or about 25% of the park. Staff think they are overburdened because the remaining sites are busy during the summer, so forget any request for a change. To communicate with the office, we had to leave a message more than once. Sites are narrow, so you will be close to your neighboring camper. All gravel roads and sites create some dust. It would be a real improvement if they simply paved the entrance and the main roads. WiFi weak. The good: Good location to explore Helena, the lakes, hiking, and water sports. Easy on/off the highway. Pull-through site & navigating the streets was easy for our 43' motorhome and tow. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lewis & Clark Golf & RV Park, Astoria, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed on the premium sites overlooking the golf course. Very clean, quiet park with plenty of space to set up, park, and navigate the roads. Be cautious using your GPS to get you to the entrance, especially if arriving from the east & not the south. Check with the office. You pull forward into the site, front windshield facing the golf course. Then, back out to leave. Easy! We camped at Lewis & Clark Golf & RV Park in a Motorhome.

E & J R.V. Park (aka Days Inn Ellensburg RV Park), Ellensburg, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

The recent reviews are true! Only passing through 1 night, but would not leave our 43' 2016 motorhome to venture anywhere in the area. Creepy people (mentioned below) is right. We didn't even put the jacks down and hitched up and left by 8:30 the next morning. Glad to see this place in the rear view mirror! Staff was friendly in the hotel, but the whole place needs a major upgrade, removal of the run down trailers, and lots of general maintenance. Trash cans overflowing, lots of long term trailers with junk in and around campsite. Next door to a large truck stop and highway entrance. Noisy, and a train track is somewhere close by too. Would NOT stay here again. Any RVer looking for a nice place to stop, short term or long, should avoid this place. We camped at E & J R.V. Park (aka Days Inn Ellensburg RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Our site was a large pull-through site that can be used as a buddy space. A trailer was in one half of the space, so it ended up not being a pull-though and we had to unhitch. Not a big deal, but if a "true" pull-though is important, check your site assignment first.

Armitage Park , Eugene, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice, convenient park to stay. Quiet, no trains or hwy noise. Would stay again but hopefully get a site where we could get satellite. Space 24 is plenty long for our 43' rig & tow but trees prevented satellite. No pools, spas here, just the basics. 32 RV sites so park can be busy. Try to book ahead. Park host onsite. Shopping & plenty of restaurants in easy driving distance. We camped at Armitage Park in a Motorhome.

Driftwood RV Park, Brookings, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 2 nts in Class A 43' motorhome with tow. Pull thru site was just long enough for RV. Vehicle had to unhook. Paved streets, gravel sites with picnic table. Not all that level, but workable. Tight turn into park from northbound 101 at the office. Helpful owners state they are selling the park, so changes may be on the way. Just enough room to park tow next to RV. Easy walk to restaurants, beach, Boardwalk, seafood market, coffee shops, gift shops. Overall park is nice, but showing its age. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

JGW RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed in a 43' Class A motorhome plus tow vehicle. Pull-throughs are plenty large, easy turning radius, some sites have shade. Some sites have a beautiful river view, book these in advance for longer stays. Near I-5, but sites at the rear of the park are not disturbed by the highway noise. TA truck stop nearby has plenty of room for any size RV to fuel up and/or park. Easy short trip into Redding shopping areas, or to Walmart Supercenter in Anderson. High laundry-$3.25 to wash and to dry. We camped at JGW RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Lakes RV & Golf Resort, Chowchilla, California

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in The Lakes to be near Yosemite. The concrete pad is narrow with a grassy area & smallish patio. Golf a nice option if desired. A very nice SaveMart is just down the street for grocery needs/Redbox. A few sites have shade, most of the larger pull thru sites do not. Full hook ups, clean pool/spa, clean showers and restrooms. The park is gated & guests receive a remote to enter the park during a visit. The park is far enough away from the highway to not hear traffic noise, but trains can be heard in the distance. Not much in Chowchilla to do or see. Mostly fast food restaurants. We camped at The Lakes RV & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Betabel RV Park, San Juan Bautista, California

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here in a 43' motorhome. Spaces are a bit tight, but satisfactory. Space 96 & 97 are good pull thru locations. 97 will not allow good satellite reception, but it is a shady end site. Park is very full of long term RV residents, many with 2 cars. This causes the park to look shabby & dated since some rigs are pretty old & their sites are cluttered. The Garlic Lane restroom/shower is clean, but in need of renovating. We stayed here due to proximity to Carmel, Monterey, Big Sur. Even though the park is adjacent to Hwy101, road noise is minimal. Easy, safe entrance/exit to RV park. This park is gated. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Motorhome.

Big-rig friendly, stayed here in a 43' motorhome plus tow. Close to grocery, Costco, Camping World. Easy drive to restaurants, downtown, mall shopping.
