Bryce Zion Campground, Glendale, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Looks like a former KOA that lost its title affiliation. Great location between Bruce Canyon & Zions Nat'l parks. Was quaint with horses grazing next to the campground. The WiFi signal was worse than horrible and the TV access was nothing. When there, you are isolated from the world. We have Verizon and we could not even make or recieve phone calls at camp. It that is your thing, you will love it here. If you must work remotely while traveling, you will get nothing done here. We camped at Bryce Zion Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Duke's Slickrock Grill, Campground and RV Park, Hanksville, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Location was great to explore national parks in the area. Great restaurant on site. Massive wide space. One big issue, the motel across the street has Friday night outdoor concerts / dances. Finally at 3 AM we were upset and called the motel to find out when they were going to quit. It was very loud even with all windows closed. They did shut down after one more song after we called. We camped at Duke's Slickrock Grill, Campground and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Brigham City / Perry South KOA, Brigham City, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

GPS directions were not accurate. Access was good and close to the freeway. Staff service was minimal. We were extremely frustrated when we found out that we could only do laundry when the office was open. They share open connecting rooms. Consequently, they closed early and did not open until 8 AM. We had to leave our clothes in the washer overnight in order to dry them the next morning. It also screwed up our planned early time to leave that morning. First KOA we have experienced without an accessible laundry. We camped at Brigham City / Perry South KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Spearfish KOA, Spearfish, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Great location just off if I-90. Owner/Managers were fantastic and accommodating. We arrived at dark after a long day of driving and they were closed. He still met us and escorted us to our site and even offered to help us set up. We thanked him but elected to only hook up our power and set up the next morning. The staff bent over backwards to help every way possible. The ice cream social each night was fantastic. We stayed for a week and we are definately going back. We camped at Spearfish KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Yellowstone Park / Mountainside KOA, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

Great location although there is another KOA one mile east that is much better. We have stayed at both. We felt our site location was second class. We worked with the TV's for two days and was unable to program them. After multiple discussions with the staff, who could not figure out why we were having problems, the manager finally came out to address our issue. He informed us that if we were in a 30A site, there was no cable TV provided. We pointed out that the website and brochure showed cable TV and there was a connection in the pedestal. He tried to tell us that was standard procedure with KOA and they were not obligated to tell us that cable was not provided at 30A sites. We have stayed at 30 to 40 KOA sites over the years and never EVER experienced this before. Also this is the most expensive campground we have stayed at for $72 a night, that was with the KOA discount and no cable TV, "horrible value". We love Yellowstone but if this is what has happened to the commercialization of the area, we do not plan to ever return. We camped at Yellowstone Park / Mountainside KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Colorado Springs KOA, Fountain, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

"The good" Great location, right on the freeway service road of I-25. Staff was great and helpful with problems we encountered. They scorted us to our site but that is standard at KOA. "The bad" Extremely cramped. The neighbors sewer connections are within 3-5 ' of your sitting area tables or chairs. Two horrible speed bumps at entry road, and the piece of road is maybe 250' long. Only room enough for one rig to check in at a time. Impossible for anyone to speed in the entry. Bumps were so big, they shifted things that were strapped down. Other big speed bumps are on interior roads Many interior roads are in horrible shape with some pot holes and crevices over a foot deep. I love KOA's but this one is the second worst one we have ever stayed at. We camped at Colorado Springs KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Asheville West KOA, Candler, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Pad site was unlevel, had to do a major adjust side to side. Dump station is located and installed backwards going the wrong way on road. No gravel but mud beside the station and the water connection to backwash the black tank had a nozzle that matched or hooked up to nothing. We camped at Asheville West KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Cooperstown KOA, Richfield Springs, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Charming site. Short drive to Baseball Hall of Fame. Great wooded location and fairly level. Enjoyed sitting out and saw a wonderful sunset. We arrived about a hour before official check-in time so we were hit with a $10.00 early check-in fee. Was not happy with that. Overall a great site. We camped at Cooperstown KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Timberland Lake Campground, Jackson, New Jersey

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Location was handy but the road in and out was one lane. God forbid if you met another RV, it would require one to back up to one of the two wide spots on the quarter mIle road. No trees in our camping area. Not only the road into the camp but the roads all through the campground were horrible with massive holes, divots and wash outs. Very rough on my camper and vehicle. Too expensive for the site value. We camped at Timberland Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.
